Who is a catfish?

a catfish is a person who creates a fake online profile in order to deceive people.

in the case of wattpad, it's actually the misinformation of a person's actual gender.

so recently, this author revealed that he Actually is a She. not to dwell on that but-

you know, aside the shock of the situation and the confusion as to how they had managed to grow this lie over the years,
it got me wondering

are all or most of the people on wattpad really who they say they are?
