Chapter Seven

Jack J.

We walked out to his many cars in the garage and they were all so nice. He picked a black one that I didn't know the name of, but it looked nice and expensive from what I could tell.

When I was growing up everything we had was old and raggedy. It didn't bother me back then, but looking back now we were really dirt poor. This is one of the reasons I find it to be a blessing someone could have necessities such as nice cars and big houses that people like me never get.

It is also why I have no idea what the name of this car is or if it is even that expensive. It just looks nice.

When he got the keys to the car off the rack that had many other keys on it he made his way to the car and I just followed without a word.

Surprisingly he walked to my side first and opened the door for me. I tried to hide my blush, but I felt I had failed.

"T-thanks." I stuttered out getting into the car. Well there goes that confidence I had.

This was kind of new to me because the only person who would do that to me was Nash, but he was my boyfriend. I had recently also been on probably 2 dates since I moved with my aunt and neither one of those motherfuckers opened the door for me, which is probably why we never went on a second date.

It was just really sweet that he had done so and was not my boyfriend or didn't have any romantic intentions.

"No problem." He replied closing my door for me. I put my seat belt on immediately after I found it feeling fidgety. I tried to give myself a pep talk to calm myself down, but at this point it wasn't working.

He got in the car a few minutes later after opening his garage.

"Sorry if opening the door was weird for you, I just really want you to be comfortable with me. I really bad and I hope this makes up for it." He said starting the car up.

I briefly turned my head towards him before just nodding. I couldn't bring myself to say anything because it felt like there was a big ass rock in my throat.

There was an awkward silence lingering for awhile till he decided to turn on the radio.

"What type of music are you into?" He asked.

"Um, stuff like pop, rap, & hip hop. Just a variety. I really like your music as well, sir." I answered.

"Well, then we're going to get along real well if you like those genres and my music." He replied chuckling. "Oh, and you don't have to call me sir outside of work."

"Okay... Jack?" I said as more of a question than a statement.

"I would still like to be called Mr.Gilinsky. That was very disrespectful of you. We are not on first name basis." Mr.Gilinsky explained with a stale and serious expression.

"I-I'm sorry Mr. Gilinsky."

That honestly dampened the mood and I felt myself frowning looking out the window till I heard laughter.

"You are so adorable. You honestly shouldn't take everything I say so seriously." He said between laughs.

I just laughed along happy that he was only playing with me, but stunned that he had just called me adorable. He probably didn't even mean it and the words just slipped, but it still made my face feel hotter than it was and my heart start to beat faster.

The rest of the car ride was fairly quiet with little talking and a lot of humming from Mr. Gilinsky. Away from work he seemed to be more approachable and fun. He even cracked jokes here and there that would actually make me laugh, but that was by default because he could say probably anything I'd giggle.

His effort to make me comfortable and laugh was absolute adorable.

When we got there he got out and I had a feeling he was going to open the door for me again, but I didn't want to look stupid and wait if he wasn't going to. Therefore, I opened the door myself as he closed his door and we made our way inside silently.

The inside of the restaraunt was big and nice. It wasn't to fancy to make me feel uncomfortable, but it wasn't a McDonalds either.

"How many will you all be having." The hostess asked smiling at us. She was really pretty.

"Only two Ms. Victoria." Mr. Gilinsky said reading her name in the process that read 'Victoria'.

"Right this way, sir." She said letting us follow her so she could seat us immediately. I had a feeling it was because she knew Jack Gilinsky was. My suspicions were confirmed once we got to our table.

"I hope you have a great time and the food serves you well. Your waitress will be here in a bit. By the way I am a huge fan of yours, Jack Gilinsky." She stated smiling. Her perfect white teeth and dimples making an appearance.

"Thank you so much, sweetheart." Mr. Gilinsky responded politely.

"I was hoping I could get an autograph if that's not too much to ask?" She said pulling out a small notepad from her fanny pack thing and a pen.

"Oh, that's no problem. Who would you like me to make it out to you?"

"Yes please."

Mr. Gilinsky quickly signed his name and handed it back to her. She smiled and gave a small thanks before walking away.

"So how are you?" He asked turning towards me.

"I'm fine and yourself?" I said trying my best not to stutter.

"I'm great. I just want to apologize again. I just feel so bad. That was probably embarrassing for you."

I laughed at his concern because this has to be about the fifth time he brought it.

"Mr. Gilinsky I'm fine. I told you already that I've heard worse." I said trying to convince him to stop being sorry. Really it wasn't even his fault. He can't control what his dumb ass wife says.

"Well, tell me about yourself. Like what are some of your interest?"

"Um, oh gosh I hate talk to about myself because I'm boring." I admitted.

"I doubt you are." Mr. Gilinsky said smiling. His teeth were freaking perfect.

"Hey, I'm your waitress Kimberly. What will you be having for drinks today?" She asked getting out her notepad.

"I'll take a-" Mr. Gilinsky started before he was cut off.

"Oh my gosh, it actually is you! Victoria said you were her, but I didn't believe her. I'm a huge fan!" She screeched smiling hard.

"Well thank you, I really appreciate it. I will be having a Pepsi, though." He said smiling her.

"No problem." She said smiling turning around to walk away not even taking my order.

"Wait, Ms. Kimberly you forgot my friend's order." Mr. Gilinsky said.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't even see you there. What will you be having." She asked. Her cheeks were burning red. I didn't know I was the invisible man.

"I'll just take a lemonade, thank you." I said smiling fakely.

"Coming right up." She said smiling except it wasn't at me it was at Mr. Gilinsky.

Trust me I totally understand why she may be swooning over Mr. Gilinsky's good looks, but she still has a job. So unprofessional.

"Now that she's gone, let's get back to you." Mr. Gilinsky said.

"Okay, what do you want to know about me?" I asked. I was loving the confidence I had built up to be honest.

"What's your favorite color?"

"Light blue." I answered.

"Why light blue?" He asked.

"Why not light blue?" I replied smiling at him as he laughed at my response.

We continued talking about my favorite tv show, movie, book, my friends that I didn't have and a lot more. I was getting really comfortable and we were joking around till the waitress came back with her shirt pulled down a bit to show more cleavage than there was before and her hair now down instead of in a pony tail. I almost laughed at her attempt to get with a married man.

"Here are your drinks." She said bending over showing more of her boobs.

"Thank you." Me. Gilinsky said. I was about to say thank you too till I noticed she brought me a sprite and I'm pretty sure I asked for a lemonade.

I guess Mr. Gilinsky noticed too because he soon corrected her before I could.

"Actually Ms. Kimberly Jack here asked for a lemonade." He explained.

"Oh yeah. Sorry about that. I'll get you that right away." She said to me with the most plastic smile. I could tell she was embarrassed again by her rosy cheeks.

"I could have just drunk that. You totally embarrassed that girl." I admitted after she left.

"Oh well. We didn't come here for her to be flirting with me and giving poor service." He said taking a sip of his drink.

I laughed at the fact he knew she was flirting because I thought it was only me that noticed.

"So, tell me about this Aunt Maxine and Olivia."

"Okay, well first Aunt Maxine isn't actually my aunt she's just an old family friend that took me in after my big blowout with my family and I love her for it. Olivia is her adorable daughter that is now six and too smart for her own good." I told not getting to specific.

"I'd love to meet her. I've always wanted kids, but Madison's not really up for it." He admitted. I was honestly surprised he was being so open with me.

"Im sure Olivia would love to meet you, but I'm sure in the very near future you and Madison will have a beautiful baby." I replied smiling halfheartedly.

I would hate if he had a child with that witch, but after all that is his wife.

We continued to talk and Kimberly finally gave me the right drink, but not before flirting some more and "accidentally" spilling a little of my drink on her so you could now see a little of her bra.

I don't know if you can see this, but I'm mentally rolling my eyes.

Then she took our order and no later our food came. I got a simple salad, while Mr. Gilinsky got this huge burger and a ton of fries.

By the time we were done it was around 1:30 and Mr. Gilinsky said I could just take off for the rest of the day, which I thanked him for.

The lunch was actually a success and I think we held a good conversation. The only downside was the waitress who wrote her number on the receipt.

Whore.

Once we got back to his house I heard someone walking towards where we were.

It was Mrs. Gilinsky. Oh joy.

"Where have you two been?" She asked.

"We just went to lunch babe. I wanted to treat him to something to apologize on both of our behalfs." Mr. Gilinsky explained. I watched her nod slowly with pursed lips.

"Okay, why wasn't I invited? I had nothing better to do." She asked. I could practically feel the tension getting thicker, but I had no idea why. It's not like he had done anything wrong he was just being nice.

"Babe, I did invite you."

"No you didn't, babe. When was that?"

"Well if you were listening you'd know I did in fact invite you this morning. You said you couldn't make it because you were busy." Mr. Gilinsky said sharply. I saw Mrs. Gilinsky's face harden into a scowl.

"Jack if you would please excuse yourself. I'd like to have a word with my husband." She said turning to me.

"Okay." Bitch.

I started to walk away, but not before thanking Mr. Gilinsky for lunch again.

"T-Thanks for lunch again Mr. Gilinsky."

"No problem."

I quickly made my was upstairs and as soon as I made it to my room and closed my door there was loud yelling.

It's going to be a long week and it's only Wednesday.

I wonder if they have openings at the restaraunt Aunt Maxine works at.

A/N: I finally updated. Sorry this is a shirty chapter, but it will start to get better when the real drama starts. Furthermore, like usual I have some questions.

How do you think lunch with Mr. Gilinsky went for Jack?

How do you feel about the waitress?

How did you feel when Mr. Gilinsky called Jack adorable?

Was it just a slip of the tongue or did he actually think Jack was adorable?

What do you think the real reason Mr. And Mrs. Gilinsky were arguing?

Should Jack quit before things get even worse and weird?
