Chapter 33

A/N: I'm still trying to dig myself out of the slump I'm in. Depression, stress, anxiety, work, school, people, emotions, life, all that shit. I'm trying, and believe me when I say that I'll finish my stories that I had started. And I love y'all

Prophecy:
Into the future, doom shall befall
It is up to the chosen 5 to help the wizard of light to stop it
The stars of 88 must combine
Revelation of the stars and knight shall collide
A new relationship must not occur for it will usher forth of doom for all
When myth becomes truth, a naked star shall sacrifice the one its love the most
Once friends, now enemies, the wizard of light and darkness shall meet

Plz enjoy?

Weeks later after the battle between the two guilds fought to a bloody stalemate, the young knight walked around the castle, looking for a certain blonde who was nowhere to be found. Couple minutes later, she ran into Minerva.

"You look like a lost child Erza." Minerva chuckled.

"Have you seen Lucy?" Erza asked off the bat, ignoring the girl's words.

"She left on a little mission yesterday."

"What?" The redhead frowned. Why wasn't she notified that Lucy left? Why didn't she tell her?

"A mission. Quest. Whatever you wanna call them." Minerva shrugged.

Erza stood in silence for a moment before wondering where Minerva was heading. "Where you going?"

"Just thinking. Since you disappeared, the prophecy that Lucy spoke of seemed off. But now that you are back, I'm starting to put pieces of the puzzles together."

"Wanna share it with me?" Erza asked, suddenly interested in what Minerva had to say.

Minerva nods with a smile. "Walk with me."

The two girls started walking down the hallways that Minerva was walking towards. "You know of the prophecy, yes?"

Erza nods, but not saying anything, letting Minerva say what's on her mind.

"The first line, 'Into the future, doom shall befall ' indicates that the doom would happen in the future. Lucy came from the past, and if she's here, then something bad is about to happen."

"The second line, 'It is up to the chosen 5 to help the wizard of light to stop it ', since you and the other disappeared, presumed dead, I assumed it would had been me, sting, rouge, Jellal, and Hades."

"Wait, what? Hades? He tried to killed us!" Erza let her voice rise in surprise.

"I know. Hades told Lucy everything that happened on that island. He truly is sorry. Everything that he believed that Zeref would do, was nothing that he imagined. Zeref killed his friends that had gotten away. He only managed to escape with the remaining magic that he had left. Except for his left arm." Minerva said, careful not to reveal everything. "But Lucy does not really trust him."

"Where is he?"

"On a mission."

Erza hummed with dissatisfaction. "Continue your theory of the prophecy."

Minerva recollected herself. "Right... where was I?"

"Thinking that you, Sting, Rouge, Jellal, and Hades was the chosen five to help Lucy." Erza spoke like a monotone of the sorts.

"Right... Since you came back, I've began to think. maybe either you, Natsu, Gray, or some others that is close to Lucy are the chosen five. I'm not sure."

Erza thought to herself about the chosen five for a long time. She wondered what it meant to help Lucy. Sacrificial help? For help? She been drawing a blank while trying to think about it.

"The third line, 'The stars of 88 must combine ', that one is easy. The celestial spirits." Minerva said.

"How many keys does she have?" Erza asked, hoping she had all 88. She imagined that trying all 88 keys would've been a tiring effort to find a tiny little key in a big world, like Fiore.

"87. She been having a hard time trying to find the last one." Minerva sighs. She knows it had been putting stress on Lucy for quite some time. Made her even more stressed out when the rest of Fairy Tail came back alive. She knew the inevitable doom was close and she still doesn't have all of the 88 keys in her possession.

Erza remained silent, having no words on the subject of lost and found. So she remained silent, hoping Minerva can move on to the fourth line of the prophecy.

Minerva looked at Erza before realizing she was waiting for the next line. "The forth prophecy, ' Revelation of the stars and knight shall collide ', which I honestly think its obvious." The purple haired girl laughed.

"What you mean?"

Minerva looked at the armored girl, that is sprouting confused looks. "Lots of people calls you a knight because of the armor you always wear. You use swords... Like a knight would. And then there's Lucy. She came from a royal blood, so she's obviously a princess."

"So my and Lucy's fate is intertwined?"

"Definitely." Minerva smirked and gave Erza the look.

Noticing the look that Minerva was giving her and blushed a little. "We may not even know what it means. Maybe something else?"

Laughing it off, Minerva cleared her throat and continued to the fifth line of the prophecy. " 'A new relationship must not occur for it will usher forth of doom for all '"

"I know that all to well" Erza pouted at the many problems it given her and Lucy.

"Hmm yes. Relationship of some sorts. It is a bit tricky. Could be a romance one. Friendship one. Business one. Anything really."

Erza knew well enough when Lucy didn't want to risk it. And she made it well damn clear the last time she spoke to her. She knew how scared she was. The blonde tried to hide it, but the fear was evident in her eyes. Frustrated as Erza was, she respected Lucy's decision and decided to wait. Wait until everything is over and done with, with this impending doom.

It was stupid.

Minerva stared at the redhead in silence, watching as Erza was in deep thought. And she wondered why Lucy was keeping her distance. It was obvious that Erza likes her, and that Lucy likes her back. The prophecy is honestly the only thing holding her back. They really need to kiss and stuff. They really need to get together.

After couple minutes of silence, which wasn't intended, Minerva went for the sixth line of the prophecy. " 'When myth becomes truth, a naked star shall sacrifice the one its love the most '"

"Wonder what that means." Erza frowned a little.

"I think it had to do with some deep hidden truths. Sting thinks it was something that hidden deep inside for a long time, that it sudden erupted, and I have no idea what he meant by that."

Erza laughed a little with that last part.

"And Rouge was thinking it has to do with the myth, though we all don't know what the myth is." Minerva added.

"What does Lucy thinks?" Erza wanted to know Lucy's thought on that.

Minerva stayed silent, trying to remember her exact words on this matter. "I'm not sure. I can't remember."

Erza sighed, not satisfied with that. "What about the last line?"

" 'Once friends, now enemies, the wizard of light and darkness shall meet ', I can't think of any of Lucy's enemy that would be part of darkness, other than Zeref. I don't think they even met in the past."

So many possibilities with endless imagination to the mind. Some were good, and others were bad that it brought chills up Erza's spine.

The two girls decided to walk the rest of the way in silence before they reached to the place that Minerva needed to go. The spacious room, where there was a big oval table in the middle, with chairs alongside it. Sting, Rouge, and Hisui sat side by side, talking amongst each other.

As they came closer, the three mages took noticed of the two girls, and noticed their expressions.

...

Lucy had just received notice about some Intel that she had been searching for. When she had sent Hades to his mission, she wasn't expecting anything. But when she heard back from him, she needed to act fast.

And the fact that she still do not have all 88 keys is driving her crazy.

At one point in life since Fairy Tail disappeared along with that island, she considered running away and let the prophecy happen. But on the night when she tried to run away, a dream invaded her mind, threatening with deaths and more deaths of people that should've already been dead.

The blonde didn't know what that meant. Was they still alive? Or was the prophecy tearing her apart, showing them the visions of their deaths as it happened, so it won't happen in the future if she decides to come back?

On the second night, when she tried to brush it away as coincidence, she saw the dream again, but more vividly. It was taunting her. As if the prophecy knew Lucy's intention of abandonment.

She could remember so much blood and tears and muffled screams of mages across the battlefield.

It terrified Lucy so much that she decided to finish the damn prophecy, so no one else as to face the same fate. She really hated the prophecy that had been controlling her every damn step of the way.

As Lucy stood silently near an abandoned building, with her hood covering her face, she registered a magic source that is heading her way. And she immediately knew who it was.

The person that she had been waiting for came into view, with cloak covering its face.

"Here is the object you been asking for. It wasn't easy to find." The man handed the wrapped up object to Lucy, who grabbed it gently.

She unwrapped it and saw the amulet that was so familiar when she was little.

She remembered when her mother would wear this amulet. Saying that it was a gift from one of her great friends. Though she never said who it was from, but Lucy has her suspicion.

As she thought, the amulet was not an ordinary amulet. It seems to be emitting powerful magic from its core. Then it dawned on her as she stared at the amulet.

"Hades."

The man looked up at Lucy. "Yes?"

"Were you followed?" Lucy spoke in a really stern tone.

"I made sure that I was not followed."

Lucy focused on her surroundings, but couldn't pick up any other magical source other than Hade's.

A magical amulet this powerful, couldn't had been ignored by Zeref and the others. Unless...

Before Lucy could finish her conclusion, she sensed magic targeting her and dodged it before it collided against her torso.

As the dust cleared, Lucy looked around, to see nothing out of the ordinary, but sees that Hades continued to stand exactly where he stood. The blonde's defense mode rose and she put the amulet in her dimension for safe keeping.

"What's the meaning of this Hades?" Lucy demanded.

Hades removed the cloak that covered him, and Lucy immediately noticed the tattoos that painted on his skin.

"Cursed?" Lucy whispered to herself, but Hades heard her loud and clear.

When Hades opened his mouth to speak, it wasn't his own voice. It was someone else's voice. And Lucy recognized it immediately.

"We got to stop meeting like this " Hades' unfamiliar voice said. "Just joking "

Lucy frowned in confusion as she stared at Hades' form with her defensive stance. She had so many questions.

"If you're wondering, this is my new spell. Allows me to control someone from a great distance. Seems like its a success." Hades' smile turned into a wicked smile.

Lucy stared at him with scowl. "What do you want Zeref?"

"That amulet... I willingly gave it you, and this is how you treat me? " Hades made a mockingly gesture as if it offended him.

Lucy remained stoic and still, waiting for any surprise attack that may come her way.

"Anyway, thought this would be a great chance to give you a war of declaration. I have every intention of destroying everything that is light about this world. Love, family, care, everything. And the only way to stop that is to destroy me." Zeref's voice reverberated Lucy's surroundings.

"What are you going after?" Lucy asked, wondering what is at stake, besides the lives of the innocent.

"Two things. You, and the darkness that lies beneath the foundation of Fairy Tail."

Those were the last thing Lucy heard before Hade's form begun to glow a bright light before exploding, sending Lucy backwards.

The explosion was big, but small enough to not alert anyone from a distance.

Lucy was too distracted from his words to escape, and that resulted in couple of broken bones and burned skin. Lucy could observe all of that as she stared at the sky above her.

Couple minutes later, Lucy grunted in pain as she tried to get up despite her broken bones and stared at the spot that Hades stood at. He was gone, but Lucy knew better. The explosion immediately killed him.

Lucy tended her wounds through her golden magic light, and recollected on the things that she discovered.

The war was coming. She was one of the target. and Fairy Tail is another target. And the fact that Zeref willingly handed the amulet that she been searching for, has to be important too. She has more questions now than answered.

Before her wounds were halfway mended, Lucy heard another voice, and she knew who it belonged to.

"Lucy."

The blonde turned and saw the person she have not seen in a long time. Anger suddenly built up at the long silence that she had given her when she was calling for her.

"Where the fuck you been?"
