Luz arrived at school, ready for another boring day.

'Is this torture to you?' Yamato asked.

'Nope, it's worse. It's the public education system.' Luz thought, walking to her locker.

She then saw her group of bullies coming her way.

'Here comes the torture.' Luz thought, turning back to her locker and opened it to place her books inside. 'Please walk past me, please walk past me.'

'You have the strength to face them, Luz. And I don't mean jist using me as a sword.' Yamato said.

'I'm trying not to get in trouble and make things worse for us.' Luz thought.

Though Luz couldn't help but enjoy the thought of stabbing them... not in a vital area, but still.

"Well, if it isn't Ms. Normal." The main bully said, crossing her arms as the group stops before Luz.

"What do you want?" Luz asked.

"Nothing, just wanted to say hi to our favorite "former" weirdo." The main girl, Tracey, said to be "nice." "Guess that camp managed to straighten you out after all, despite a little relapse."

Luz proceeded to ignore her, she didn't have the energy, she was too tired.

"Hey, are you gonna reply? I get it's early but you don't need to be grouchy." Another girl said, poking Luz's shoulder a bit.

"Don't... touch me." Luz said with a growl.

"Whoa, okay. No need to growl." The girl said, pulling her hand back. "Tracey just wanted to say "hi." Aren't you going to say hi back?"

"No." Luz said bluntly. "I'm honestly sick you and your group, I'd be happier if you left me alone."

'That's right. Stand firm and show no fear.' Yamato said to her.

'After everything in the demon realm, I'm pretty much fearless.' Luz thought as she got what she needed and closed her locker, walking away from the group of bullies.

"Ugh, normal or not, you're just as annoying as before." Tracey said, picking up a random piece of trash.

She threw it at Luz, but Yamato took control, turned around, and used the Mirage Edge to cut it in half.

"Don't." "Vergil" said, intensely glaring at them with errie blue eyes as the blade vanished.

It was just a flash, like blinking and it would be missed, as Yamato switched back with Luz but the glare was all the same with Luz's original brown eye.

"Get lost. All of you." Luz said coldly.

The entire group was scared sensless and quickly rushed away.

'I know what you did but I don't care. Those guys deserved it.' Luz thought, walking to class.

'From your memories of them, I had a feeling you wouldn't.' Yamato said as he "nodded" to her. 'Now, I believe you have class to attend.'

'Yeah, yeah, I know. First of the day is social studies.' Luz thought, walking to class.

Slowly, very VERY slowly.

'What's wrong?' Yamato asked.

'I still feel like I'm wasting my time here and should be helping my friends. The Boiling Isles needs us more than this school.' Luz thought.

'Perhaps school is a good distraction.' Yamato said, 'Time away from one problem can often help one find a way to solve it.'

'So you're suggesting I skip school?' Luz thought.

'Very much so, yes.' Yamato said, "nodding" if he had a head again.

'And do what?' Luz thought.

'Perhaps... go kill some demons in the woods?' Yamato suggested.

'You sense more of them?' Luz thought, standing up straight.

'I do. Plus, it would be more beneficial to train and perhaps claim more blood orbs and more demonic weaponry like Beowulf.' Yamato added.

'I... guess that makes sense.' Luz thought.

'Perfect, then let's "ditch class and cut school " as you kids say in this age.' Yamato said.

'... Don't every say that again.' Luz thought with a blank expression. 'It sounds wrong coming from you.'

Luz turned from her classroom and headed to the bathroom, planning to sneak out through the window to deal with the demons in the forest.

'This should be easy.' She thought as she walked into the bathroom and set ber books down on the sink.

Climbing through the window, Luz landed on her feet and looked around to be safe. With no cameras at this part of the school, Luz summoned Beowulf to her hands and feet before rushing off into the forest.

'Oh I'm going to get in trouble later for this but I don't care oddly.' Luz thought

'The ends justify the actions. You'll see.' Yamato said.
