I yelled and Yelled beating on his chest until I was pulled away and I screamed in pain from my back , hip and ankle

"Shhhh Annabelle I got you"

"Trent please don't let him die" I say to him as I grip his shirt twisting it my hands

" Let them Work On him " Trent says to me

" Are you hurt anywhere Annabelle " Dylan Asked

" Besides my back from the whip , and maybe my ankle and my hip  no "

" Alright let me carry you out to the ambulance and let them look at you " Trent says as he lifts me up

" I'll take her"

" Carter" I cry as he takes me from Trent
" Both of you go now" Trent says as I hear

"His pulse is weakening we got to move "

" Please don't die on me you better fight you hear me " I yell

I could hear them working as I was carried out and placed in the ambulance and taken away
Arriving at the hospital there was chaos with all the media but the Royal Guards kept everyone back
Rolling into the ER on the stretcher the Doctor made a quick introduction and went to work on me
Within ten minutes I was sent up for surgery to close two of the wounds that had opened up when I fell I didn't want to go under but didn't have a choice they also needed to put three temporary pins in my ankle to put it back together

The last thing I said before I went under was to tell my husbands I loved them

Waking up several hours later in the hospital bed I felt like a bus hit me hard it took me a few minutes to of replaying the past few days events to clear my head enough to process what had happen my life was turned upside down again by that Bastard Gavin I can only hope that he is either dead or in one of the prisons here

I could hear snoring so I turned to my head to see Jack asleep on the couch he finally looked peaceful
Then I looked down lifting the covers up to look at my ankle seeing it in a boot cast inside of a regular cast I guess it's not as bad as it looked on the X-ray
My legs were bruised up too

I needed to know where everyone was and how Cadence was doing

" Jack" I say softly
He stirs
" Jack , Wake Up "

He stirs again this time opening his eyes up wiping them
" Annabelle "

" Yeah How is Cadence " I asked

" In the Critical Care Unit the gun shot tore through his shoulder ricocheted off his shoulder blade and nixed his heart  and his lung collapsed they have a breathing tube on him to help with his breathing and so that he doesn't have to work so hard also they have him sedated if it would have hit you it would have killed you Gavin was aiming for your heart when Cade pushed you out of the way taking the bullet " Jack said

" Can I see him "

"No not yet"

" Why he's my husband " I say

" Carter and Jayson Don't want you seeing him yet "

" They blame me don't they Jack tell me the truth " I say to him

He doesn't answer I can see it in his eyes

Tears escape my eyes until I'm in a full sob

"What is Wrong , Why is Annabelle crying " Dylan Asked when he came in

" Just leave me alone I'll be fine , Jack can you do me a favor find out when I can leave "

" Annabelle " Jack says

" Look just leave me be for now go see Neeva and check on Cadence, Carter and Jayson I'll be fine " I say as I wipe my face free of the tears

" You sure "

"Never more Sure " I say

Jack and Dylan left me in the room , I called the Nurse in to help me use the bathroom she said I could walk on my ankle but to keep it at a minimum and use the crutches to get around

I used the bathroom came out saw I had clothes on the table so I reached for the and got dressed

Pulled my hair up in a ponytail slipped on the one shoe and asked the Nurse to take me to see Cadences

I was wheeled down the hallway to the elevator then up to see Cadence
There were Royal Guards and Some of the Royal Army outside Cadences door

They let me in to see him

He's laying in the bed the sheet is only covering his waist , he has a bandage around his shoulder , the machine is helping him breath he looks peaceful even if he's all banged up

I took his hand squeezed it

" I hope you can forgive me for all the damage I have done I love you so much Cade you are my Sheikh you own a piece of my heart and will always do so please get better Your Cousin and Best Friend need you this country needs you " I say to him

The door creaked open and I turned to see Carter and Jayson
I can see the hurt in their eyes

" Annabelle " Carter said

" Carter , Jayson Don't worry I'm leaving I know you don't want me here I was just here to see Cadence and apologize for all the pain and hurt I have caused I'll be going now " I say as I roll my wheelchair towards the door

They don't stop me from going to the door
But I stop at the door

" I'll be out of your hair by the end of the day and you won't have to deal with me just tell Cadence that I'm sorry when he wakes up " I say as I roll out the door

I went back to my room the doctor didn't want to release but I told him I was fine
Leaving a brief note for Jack

I'm sorry for all the pain and drama I have caused everyone I will be gone before you read this don't try to find me because you won't this time just tell my husbands that no matter what I still love them

Leaving the Hospital without anyone noticing that I was gone

I made my way back to the palace grabbed a suite case packed it took one look around the place I went down to Neevas room grabbed the burner phone that she had hid to use
Going to the bank and withdrawing all my money from it then I headed to a hair salon to cut my hair off
Which by the time I was done my hair was cut in a long bob I didn't look like myself anymore

Leaving there I was tired so I took a cab to the next city which was over a hundred miles away I paid for my ride when he dropped me off at a hotel

Once Settled in the hotel room which had a gorgeous view of the city I laid down on the bed clutching the sonogram of the twins not knowing if the they would know their daddies or not
Sleep filtered in

Waking up because I was hungry and I knew I needed to eat I went to roll over slowly do to my back and ankle hurting I bumped into someone
My eyes popped open and I see Carter in the bed with me

How the holy hell did he find me and how did he get into the room
Never mind on the second question I know how he got in he probably flashed his sexy ass grin to one of the cleaning service ladies and they open the door for him

The sonogram was in his hand against his chest

I needed to pee so slowly moved off the bed grabbing my crutches to help me walk to the bathroom I went in did my business then came out as I walked out the door opens behind me

"Annabelle What are you doing up walking around " Jayson said as he goes by me putting the bags of food down on the table then Coming back to me scooping me up off my feet

" What the Hell Jayson I'm not an invalid I can walk "

" Not until you can walk without crutches you aren't I will not let you fall and hurt yourself "

" I'm not going to hurt myself you ass "

I got popped on my ass for that when he put me down on the bed

" You are in some serious trouble Annabelle you think that leaving is the best answer it's not Yes both Carter and I are upset but not at you Annabelle Never At you We had a talk with the Doctors they are going to start to ween Cade off the ventilator today slowly dropping the amount it's helping him breath over The next few days when we saw you in the room They don't know how long it will take it could be a day or two or weeks before he wakes up and I for one don't want to be the one that was going to tell him our Wife left " Jayson said

Where you going to tell us about the babies " Carter asked

"What Babies " Jayson Asked

" Yes " I answered

"The Twins she is carrying " Carter said as he handed Jayson the sonogram who stared at it

" I'm going to be a daddy your pregnant oh this day had gotten so much better how far along are you " Jayson Asked

"The Doctor estimates about 6 weeks maybe towards 7 weeks but he didn't do a full exam and measure the babies he did a blood test when I came in and then when I woke up he told me I was pregnant and he did a quick sonogram on me to show me that indeed I was carrying twins they are fraternal twins meaning they have their own separate sac " I tell them

" Well we need to eat then we are headed back to the hospital to stay with Cade there is a room set up for us to stay in while he recovers and once he does we will deal with Gavin who is currently enjoying his time in the Best Prison in Adadar " Carter said with a grin
