Derek
Zach's mother opened the door, and looked very confused to see me. "Derek?" she asked, "shouldn't you be in school? I'm sure Zach is." I chuckled.
"I haven't seen that kid in school in a grip" I confided in my ex best friend's mother, "and I'm sure you can say you haven't seen him period, given the uncertainty in your words just now."
"Anybody ever told you to stay in a child's place?" Ms De Leon asked me, to which I rolled my eyes. "I'm grown" I responded, "must've forgotten that seniors can be eighteen." Ms De Leon scoffed.
"Yeah, because that's real grown alright. Go back to school." She began trying to close the door, put I pushed it open on the opposite end. "Anyways."
"Derek," Ms De Leon said, folding her arms. "Why are you here? What's going on?"
I pulled out a crumbled paper that had been in Zach's driveway. I retrieved it a few days ago, and when I read it, I noticed that it was a doctor's note "clearing" Zach of cancer.
"How'd you get that?" Ms De Leon asked with fear, "did Zach give that to you?"
"No" I answered, yanking my arm back and away from Ms De Leon's anxious, grabbing one. "It was on the ground in your driveway. "Now if you would excuse me, I think it's my turn to ask the questions."
Ms De Leon nodded, though with evident hesitance. "What questions do you have?" she asked.
"Why did you have your kid fake an illness as serious as cancer?" I asked, folding my arms.
"Who said he faked?"
"Be real, Ms De Leon. You don't get 'cleared' of cancer. There's so many phases you have to go through and even after that, there's precautions" I answered. "So should I take this paper to the state fraud department? Or will you start talking?"
"I can't tell you," Ms De Leon cracked a little, "it's a serious offense. You'd be capable of ruining my life."
"I won't" I replied, "as long as you help me."
"What do you need help with?"
"You."
"What?" Ms De Leon asked, "like, sleeping with me or something? Derek, are you out of your prepubescent mind? I am not fucking you."
"Then I guess you can get butt fucked by rusty iron in a jail cell instead" I replied with a smile.
"There has to be something else that I can do for you Derek" Ms De Leon sighed, "I don't think I can sleep with you, that's too weird." I didn't say a thing, I just folded my arms and looked deep into Ms De Leon's eyes. I wasn't budging.
"I have craved you for years, Ms De Leon," I finally spoke after a long, awkward silence. "I am finally of age, and you don't have much of a choice. It's either you fuck me, or I tell the police that you prompted your son to fake cancer, which I'm sure was for some kind of monetary gain."
"Just come inside!" Ms De Leon gave in. I smiled because I always get my way, and strutted right in.
Zach
"Why do you have a steak knife?" I asked my girlfriend as I watched her do a quick item check of her belongings. "It's not mine, it's Maddie's."
"Okay," I said, "cool. That doesn't explain why you have it though, Hailey." Hailey looked up from her tote bag, "I wanted to be prepared for Rico incase he was secretly a loony" she answered, "that's all."
"Oh," I responded, "well we're in Orlando right now, why don't we stop by Maddie's place so that you can return her knife?" Hailey snickered, "probably not a good idea." I cocked an eyebrow, "uh, why?"
"I used her knife to flip over a dead bird in the street." I winced in disgust at Hailey's words. "It's eyes were like, popping out of its head. I didn't like that, so I flipped it. I'll just buy Mads a new knife."
"Yeah" I agreed, "do that, please."
Hailey zipped up her bag. "So," she said as she started up her car, "wanna stop by your house today? I know it's probably awkward, but you're not alone. Your mom won't do some crazy shit with me there."
"I'm not scared of her" I mumbled, "I just, hate 'serious talk'... you know?"
"I think I know" Hailey said, "we kind of had that talk when I..."
"...yeah" I said, putting an abrupt end to Hailey's train of thought.
"I guess we can go" I said, "I don't have shit to lose. What could she tell me next? I'm not really hispanic?" Hailey giggled, "well that would be a lie."

"I have a question," Lewis said, "and don't get mad."
"Uh, okay" I replied. "What's up babe?"
"Do you actually like me? Like, actually like me?" I squinted at my boyfriend, "of course," I said, "why would you ask that?" Lewis shrugged.
"I don't know" he replied, "I guess, I just wanted to know. "Like, are you sure you're not just with me because you feel you have no choice to given the speech you gave at the press that day?"
"Are you asking me all of this in hopes of pushing me away because you've got another bitch?" I asked.
"No!" Lewis replied, "I'm genuinely curious."
"Sure," I shot back, "curious on you is cheating."
"What are you trying to say? I have a legit question and here you are creating an issue out of it."
"I don't know" I said as I sighed and checked my forehead with the palm of my hand. "I think I'm just tired." Lewis shook his head, "there's some kind of truth in your words. You're not 'tired,' you just don't wanna fucking explain yourself."
"Don't say 'explain yourself' to me, I'm not the one that cheats on my girlfriend with randoms."
"That's funny" Lewis said, "because you literally gave me an STI last year!" I rolled my eyes.
"And you fucked Nova. We were even and your slutty ass decided to up the score!" I yelled.
"I tried leaving you! We were on a break!" Lewis yelled, to which anger filled me.
"Yeah" I said, nodding and looking into space with a smile. Lewis tried to see what I was looking at before looking back at me. "Yeah what?"
"Yeah, I'm only with you because of the media. Fuck you, have fun with all those stupid white bitches, I hope you get accused again!"
"May!" Lewis called out, but I had already slammed his dorm door shut. I'm tired of overplaying my part.
Hailey
"It looks like your door is open," I told my boyfriend as I lightly jiggled the knob for a second. Zach grabbed the handle and fully pulled it down. "Huh."
"The house was dim and quiet, like I expected. "Is she not home?" I asked Zach, to which he shook his head. "She has no life" he said, "and she's a bum. Trust me when I say that, she's home."
"Wait" I stopped my boyfriend, "I hear something."
It was this rocking, creaking type of noise. It was low and really hard to hear. "Sounds like it's coming from the bathroom" I said, "toilet leak?"
"I hope not" Zach groaned, "the bathroom is above my room. If there's a leak, then I'll get the bitter end of things." I chuckled, "let's go check it out babe."
As we went up the stairs, the creaking got louder and clearer. "Doesn't exactly sound like a broken pipe" I told Zach, "but hey, what do I know?" Zach huffed.
"I hope she doesn't have a man over again" he said, sounding grossed out. "And of all the places they could've picked for sex, the bathroom floor?"
"I'll open it" I said as I creaked the door open, exposing both Zach and I to a naked Derek on top of Zach's mother. "What the hell?!"
"Zach!" his mom said as Derek scrambled to cover himself, ultimately choosing to with a towel. "It's not what it looks like at all!" Zach literally gagged.
"Mom, he's barely an adult! And my ex best friend! I knew you were sickening, but I didn't know you'd reached a new low. This is fucking raunchy." Derek managed to get his pants back on.
"I see you two are back and better than ever" Derek said, folding his arms. "Yeah" I said, "though it's not your business." Derek scoffed, "we fucked Hailey, everything regarding you and your simp boyfriend is my business now. In fact, I just fucked his mom. This guys my fucking son." Zach shoved Derek, to which Derek recouped and charged at him.
"Can y'all not?" I asked as I tried pulling Zach away. I didn't even wanna touch Derek, and I tried my best not too. "This isn't worth it Zach. Why don't we pack up some shit and head to my place?"
"Yeah, better start packing before I put you in a pack, Zach" Derek warned. I scoffed.
"Stay out of this, loser" I shot, to which Derek approached me. "Or what?"
I discreetly slipped my hand into my bag, gripping the knife by its handle. Zach looked at me, my hand, and back at Derek. "Can you leave?"
"Nah" Derek replied, inching even closer to me. "Your girlfriend wanna act tough. She wants me to leave. What'll happen if I don't? Huh?" Derek's gaze fell back on me, and it was an aggressive one.
"Huh?!" he asked, more seriously the he did before. He shoved me hard and I nearly fell. Once I regained balance, I was still gripping the knife. Zach didn't do anything which I assume was because he knew what I was on the verge of doing, and he figured that I didn't need his help.
"Fuck you" I said in a low tone before stabbing Derek in the shoulder. The loudest, most blood curdling scream I've ever heard rang throughout the house. Afraid he'd attack me, I yanked the knife out and held on to it tight, ready to stab again if needed.
"We need to call the police" Zach murmured to me as Derek dropped to the floor. "If my mom, or even Derek does, it won't look like a self defense situation." I was shaking, I couldn't even process that I had just stabbed somebody. "Okay" I obliged.
I turned around and realized Zach's mother had been gone. "She probably ran out of the house" Zach insisted, "she's a scaredy cat. Don't worry about her."
