Jazzy texted everyone and we decided on the carpool groups:

We all got in the car and Jazzy immediately made Anthony promise that we would all have equal say in the radio. 

"Last time we drove in his car, we listened to Carmen for forty five minutes." she explained. We all got in and started singing along to Bohemian Rhapsody, but we did the head banging thing like in Wayne's World. By the time we got to Pizza Hut, we were all exhausted from singing and dancing. We even took an extra block to finish Masquerade from Phantom of the Opera. We got out of the car and walked inside Pizza Hut and everyone was waiting for us. 

"Finally! What took you so long!!!"cried Oak as we walked up to the table.

"We got a little caught up in the radio."

"Holly actually has a pretty good voice. She should do understudy or ensemble at some point." Pippa said as she sat down.

I blushed. "I'm not that good." 

"Oh, come on. You have to at least sing at karaoke night tomorrow!!" begged Jazzy.

"Karaoke night?" I asked. 

"We decided to do a group sleepover at the theater tomorrow so we can all hang out." Lin explained.

"Cool! Can we watch a movie?" I asked as the pizza showed up. 

"Sure. We should watch the Into the Woods movie from last year! That was really good." said Renee from down the table. 

"Definitely!" called Daveed. "Now let's all shut up and eat!" After we had eaten our pizza (and Anthony and Thayne got into a horrifyingly intense thumb war over the last piece of skillet cookie) we drove back to the theater and all went home for the night. When I got into the car, Lin put a CD into the machine and turned to face me. 

"Are you familiar with Phantom of the Opera?" he asked as he started the car.

"Yeah. It's one of my favorites." 

"Do you all the words to Think of Me? I have the instrumental version on this disk. I want you to sing it for me if you can."

I gulped, "I know the words. I can try to sing it." The music started and I closed my eyes and started to sing, trying to forget Lin was there.

Lin paused the music and I stopped singing. 

"You are really good. Maybe you should watch our dress rehearsal tomorrow and decide if you would like to understudy for a part."

"You mean it? I mean, I'm ok, but I'm not sure I'm professional theater material." 

"Come on! I've seen pro's who can't sing like that. You should at least consider it." I nodded and we sang the rest of the soundtrack on the way home. When we got back, Vanessa and Sebastian were sitting on the couch watching Chuggington.

"Hey V, hey Seb. How are you?" asked Lin as he sat down on the couch and gave Vanessa a kiss. 

"Good. Hey Holly." 

"Hey Vanessa."

"Honey, call me mom." 

"Ok mom. How was your day?" 

"Good. How was yours?" 

"Interesting. I met the cast and saw the terrifying thing that is when Anthony and Thayne fight over a cookie." 

"Sweet Jesus." she shook her head chuckling. "I swear, Lin works with a bunch of literal 5 year olds." I laughed and sat down and put Seb on my lap. 

"Hey little guy. I'm your new sister, Holly." 

"Hello Holly. Wanna play trains?" he asked in just the cutest little voice ever. I sat down to play and Lin walked back from the kitchen. 

"Holly, I put the cast's numbers in your phone so you can keep in touch. And since you only had Twitter, I got you an Instagram and Snapchat account. Also, Jazzy, Pippa, and Renee were wondering if you could go shopping with them tomorrow after school. You up for it?"

"Definitely. Can I bring my friends Marcy and June?" I asked.

"Text them and ask them. I added you to their Schuyler Sisters group chat."

I grabbed my phone and opened my messages.

Chat Name: Schuyler Sisters <3

Holly: Hey can I bring my friends Marcy and June shopping tomorrow?

ANDPEGGY: Sure!

ANGELICA: Can't wait!

ELIZA: See you then! Welcome to being the newest Schuyler Sister!

I opened the chat I had with Marcy and June.

Chat Name: Theater Geek Land

Holly: Hey guys, guess what? I GOT ADOPTED!

Marcy: WHAT?!?!?! By who? What's your new last name?

Holly: May I introduce you to Holly Sierra Miranda!!!

June: Like Lin? Cool. Now you can fake people into thinking you're related to him lol

Holly: But I am

Marcy: Nice joke

Holly: (one image attached) How else would I know that he is making popcorn on the stove??

June: HOLY SHIT!!!

Holly: anyways, my aunts want to go shopping tomorrow. wanna come?

Marcy: You got adopted by Lin?!?!?!? Who are these aunts?

Holly: Philippa Soo, Renee Elise Goldsberry, and Jasmine Cephas-Jones. I became a Schuyler Sister today.

June: A what now?

Holly: Wait til July. Then come see Hamilton. 

Marcy: Is that Lin's new musical? Wait. I just googled the Schuyler Sisters and they were three girls from a rich family in NY in the 1780's. One of them was married to an Alexander Hamilton. Is that what the musical is about? 

Holly: IDK I haven't seen anything yet. 

June: I'll come shopping. Sounds fun

Marcy: I'm in!

Holly: See you then!

I put the phone down and started playing trains with Seb. We played for about an hour, but then I went to my room. It had white walls, a dark blue comforter on the bed, and a white dresser. It wasn't much, but it was the most at home I'd felt in years.
