mirio was looking more angty now and didn't talk to the other 2 of the big three as he passed them and held flowers as he was helping with the tokyo villains gala which was a event miki hosted, and each year a unsuspecting hero was put on the block for a villain to experiment on or transform into a life of darkness. miki told mirio not to look under the curtain as she didn't want anyone knowing who the poor hero who got captured was as that was going on izuku and nighteye along with bubble girl were trying to get mirio to safety now as the threat loomed over head and trying to get info from the underground though the vigilant allies they had but the only conclusion they got to was that some of them saw him on the streets with a fancy looking lady, and he was carrying flowers then they got word of the gala through an anonymous source and they also told him about the hero auction.

nighteye thought for a minute and was thinking a fancy lady huh then asked for more info on the woman if any of his allies could get it. one of them did and said to them that the villain that hosts the gala was known as the mask as she never showed her face in public it was always obstructed by a black mask with crystals on it and each member of her gang had the same mask on. izuku saw his work studys boss take his glasses off and start to cry as he put the puzzle together and he said "it's my little girl......" he put his face in his hands and was crying saying things like "Is this her revenge on me for not spending time with her?" also "this is my fault" izuku and bubble girl said nothing as they did not want to upset him or say the wrong thing.

Then izuku said to nighteye that they would stop her bring her home and save mirio to which nighteye sighed and thanked him but said the gala will be full of dangerous criminals and villains so all heros would have to be on high alert. they nodded and went to warn the others about the infiltration mission that was about to take place that night miki was in a nicer dress a black ball gown with her hair tied up & pearl earrings in mirio wore a red tux a white bowtie and red shoes and was with miki throughout the party as he was now her bodyguard after having his mind stripped of every single thought of being a hero. miki asked mirio to get her another drink he said no an she raised her hand and slapped him hard enough to leave a handprint.

mirio was surprised and scared after figuring out she was the feared gang leader of the masks and he was shaking with fear of being hurt again he complied with her wish as to not get hurt again then he saw her on the stage with the poor hero who he recognised as his ex-friend Tamaki Amajiki he was beaten and had scars on his arms and chest but mirio didn't respond as amajiki called his name then he tased his ex-friend and gagged him to keep him quiet trying to hold his tears back miki smacked him again and gave him a black eye after the auction started at 5,000 yen.
