I was laying bored on my bed when I heard a knock on the door. I groaned and stood up to answer it. My legs hurt from the lesson today, after the little fight with Victoria, and after becoming a junior.

I was sooo excited. If their was a bigger word for excited I'd use it. I could ride with Scarlett and Abby now, and it was one step closer to being an Olympian.

I reached the door. I opened the door and standing there was Cameron. I look at him confused.

"I want to show you something." He said grinning.

He doesn't even wait for a reply. He just grabs my wrist and starts pulling me towards the paddocks. We start going towards one that has Blue in it. We reach it and we lean against the fence.

Blue is galloping around happily and giving little happy bucks. Cameron points to the paddock next to hers and Dreamers doing the same thing.

"Awww." I say. "There playing."

"They really like each other." Cameron says grinning.

"Ya that's for sure." I say.

We watch as we see them play and gallop around, even if there in desperate fields. They start to calm down soon and eat grass. Cameron turns to me and he looks nervous. He grabs my wrist and my head skips a beat.

"I want to do something with you...to make up for the Victoria thing." He bites his lip.

"Like a ride or something?" I ask, forcing my mouth to speak.

He smiles. "Yeah pretty much." He says. "Except like over the course of a few days."

"So we're going to ride together everyday for a while?" I ask.

"That's the plan." He grins. "Is that a yes?"

"Yeah of course." I say.

His grin widens. "Great."

"What first?" I ask.

"Well I was thinking we could bareback on Blue." He says and we head to the entrance of the field.

"Okay." I say excited.

He approached blue and takes a rope out of his pocket. He ties it loosely around her neck and jumps on.

He grins. "Can you open the gate?" He asks.

I nod. "Yeah sure."

I walk towards the gate and open it. He walks through the gate and smiles at me. When he's out, I close the gate and look at him.

"Ready?" He says and reaches out his hand.

I grab on and jump, swinging my leg over. We start to walk down towards the forest.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"Well...I was adventuring a few days ago and I found a trail."

"That sounds fun." I say excitedly.

"Yeah Blue loves it." He says.

"Jumps?" I ask.

"Yup." He says popping the "p".

I smile and soon we break into a trot. We trot towards another edge of the forest before we see a small clearing. Then once we enter it we break into a canter. It's not very fast, but it's a good pace.

After a bit of cantering along the trail, we slow down to a walk.

"We're you just warming her up?" I ask.

Cameron nods. "Yeah." He says. "We're going to jump soon by the way."

"Great!" I say not being able to keep in my excitement.

Cameron notices. "Some one sounds excited."

"Well you know, I haven't done anything out side of the arena." I answer. "Because of Dreamer."

"Why? He hasn't done anything wrong has he?" Cameron asks.

I think for a second. "No..."

"You know what that's what we're going to do tomorrow. We're going to go to the cross country jumps." He says excitedly.

I groan. "Please no" I say. "I don't completely trust him."

"Just try it." He says.

"Maybe." I grumble.

"And then.." he says turning towards me grinning. "You'll try bare back."

"No he'll buck me off. He's not ready." I say crossing my arms.

Cameron rolls his eyes and stops blue. "When's the last time he's been bad?"

I open my mouth to reply but close it immediately.

He hasn't been bad since like, ever.

"Exactly." Cameron says grinning.

"Fine!" I say waving my hands in the air

"Great!" He says excitedly. "Now scoot closer."

I look at him bewildered and he rolls his eyes.

"Listen I know you don't 100% trust me right now, but we're going to be jumping." I says staring me down. "I don't want you falling off."

I just glare at him.

He rolls his eyes and drops the reins. In a swift motion he grabs my legs and pulls me towards him. Then he grabs my arms and makes the go around my waist.

"Thank you." He says in a fake angry tone and grabs the reins.

We start to canter and I see a log ahead. We canter towards it and we jump it beautifully. He turns us towards another and another. And soon I'm laughing.

This is so much fun.

Soon there aren't jumps ahead of us so we slow to a walk. Cameron looks over his shoulder at me.

"That was fun." I say.

He nods his head. "Yeah definitely."

I smile. "Is this towards the end?"

"Yeah, now we will just walk until we reach the paddocks." He says. "And talk."

"Okay." I say. "What time is it?"

"Like 5. Why?" He asks.

"Oh just wondering." I say. "What do you want to walk about?"

He shrugs. "I dunno, whatever."

"Okay..." I say. "You start then."

"Why did you not like it when Victoria kissed me?"

My heart beat quickened. What do I say? I could say... oh yeah I'll just say what I told Lucas. I'll just lie.

"Because your my friend. It's the equivalent to Abby and Scarlett being Victoria's friend behind my back." I explain.

"Oh." He says, a little bit of sadness in his voice.

"Okay my turn." I say. "What did she say to you?"

"She just walk up and started talking to me. She was asking about Blue and then she just started flirting." He shivers.

"I'm guessing you didn't like that?" I ask.

"Heck no!" He says. "Now my turn."

"Ask away." I say.

"What happened between you and Lucas?" He asks.

"Oh...um...he told me he liked me and then...kissed me." I say a little disgusted. "I pushed him away and told him I didn't feel the same way."

"Oh. I'm sorry." Cameron says.

"It's fine, it made me see the true jerk he was." I say.

"Oh, good." Cameron pauses for a second. "Was he a good kisser?"

"Cameron!" I say and hit him on the shoulder.

"What? It was just a question?" He says and I roll my eyes.

"Your unbelievable."

"I'm unbelievably cute."

"You mean annoying." I say and grin.

He scoffs. "Your the worst."

I flick my hair. "I know." I say as if he complemented me.

He grumbles again and soon we reach the clearing. I let out a yawn and notice how tired I am. I rest my chin on Cameron's shoulder before I know what I'm doing. My eyes go wide, but Cameron doesn't seem to mind my chin on his shoulder so I just keep it there.

We walk up to the paddocks in a comfortable silence and soon he's hopping off. I hop of too.

"Oh yeah just telling you I'm an Advanced now." Cameron says.

I squeal excitedly. "Good job! Your almost a pre Olympian!"

"Thanks." Cameron says.

"Oh by the way Thank you for the ride." I say.

He grins. "Your welcome." He says. "I'll see you tomorrow around lunch."

"Mmmm-k." I say.

His gaze saddens and he pulls me into a hug. "I'm sorry that I made you sad."

I shrug. "It's fine, it wasn't you, it was Victoria."

"But I was part of her stupid plan." he grumbles.

"Cam it's fine." I say against his chest.

"Okay." He says and plants a kiss on my forehead. "Good night."

I gasp, but try to quiet it. He pulls away and starts walking away.

"Good night!" I call after him.

He looks back and grins at me. Then, he turns the corner and I bite back a squeal.
