"Sasuke, I'm at point B."

"Sakura, I'm at point C."

"Yuki, I'm at point D and ready."

"Naruto, I'm at point A, dattebayo!"

Kakashi sighed through the headset, "Naruto you're slow, is the target in range?"

I rolled my eyes. "Yes the target is in range, I'm ready, just give the signal." Sasuke said.

"I'm ready too." Sakura inquired.

"Yeah, me too." I boringly replied.

"Dattebayo! I'm ready!" Naruto shouted.

"Okay go!" We charged at the target, or rather I simply walked. There was really no point in charging at a creature so small. Naruto being the over active person pounced on the poor creature.

The cat then started to scratch poor Naruto's face. "Can you confirm the identity?" Kakashi asked, from the tone he sounded bored as well.

"Ribbon on the left ear, yes it's definitely the lost pet Tora." Sasuke confirmed.

"CAN WE GET A DIFFERENT MISSION! I HATE CATS!" Naruto exclaimed into the headset, breaking our eardrums. My eye twitched as I quickly removed the headset.

We handed the cat over to the owner, poor cat, he was being squashed. I winced in sympathy of the poor animal, no wonder it ran away. Naruto grinned happily, as if the idea thrilled him that the cat was being squashed to death.

"Team Seven's next mission, babysitting, helping the fire lords wife carry-" The Hokage was cut off by Naruto.

"No, no, no I don't want any of those stupid missions! Those are too easy!" Naruto exclaimed with his arms crossed over each other in the shape of a X.

"What are you saying! You're just new genin, fresh out of the academy with no experience!" Iruka shouted.

I butted in on their argument, "If you don't give us more challenging missions how do you expect us to gain experience? "

"Yeah!" Naruto agreed.

At that instant, a hard fist came in contact with my skull, as well as Naruto's. I fell to the floor holding the spot that Kakashi had just hit, a cry of complaint escaping me. "Shut up you two, I am so going to hear about this later."

Naruto and I sat next to each other our arms crossed. The Hokage then went on a rant about missions or something about that. Meanwhile Naruto found it wise to talk about ramen, which happened to be more interesting than the old man's rant.

"So I was thinking of having ramen tonight, but yesterday I had miso ramen-"

I nodded "Yeah Miso ramen is pretty good."

"So I think I would have-"

"Silence!" The Hokage yelled, then one thing led to another, Naruto continued to complain, next thing I know we have a C-rank mission. I tilted my head in confusion, then looked up at Kakashi.

Leaning over to Kakashi I whispered, "Hey, what's a C-rank mission?"

Kakashi blinked looking down at me, then sighed and shook his head disappointed. I only shrugged, 'I guess it's not that important then.'

"You will be escorts for someone." Hokage stated.

"Who, who? A feudal lord, a princess?" Naruto ranted on excited.

"Now calm down, here he comes, come in." He called making my team turn towards the door.

In walked a old man, drunk and it looked like he had a attitude. "What the, these are just a bunch of snot nosed kids!" He yelled. I wrinkled my nose at him, all he was was some old drunk man.

He then looked at Naruto and I, "And you two, the short one and the one with the stupid face by the short one, are you two even ninjas?" He sneered.

"Haha who's the stupid one?" Naruto laughed, looking around us. Sakura and Sasuke lines up beside us. Measuring us out we found that Sasuke was the tallest, followed by Sakura, then by just a hair I was shorter than Naruto. It also happened that Naruto was the only one standing beside me, making him the stupid one.

Soon Naruto caught on to the fact that he meant us two. "Why you-!" Naruto started walking towards the old man his fist ready. However Kakashi took hold of Naruto's collar, holding him back.

"Naruto you can't hurt the client we are supposed to protect for the mission." Kakashi sighed annoyed.

"Yeah Naruto-kun, for the MISSION we are supposed to protect him, we can't harm him right sensei?" I said innocently.

"Correct Yuki." Kakashi looked at me closely, not trusting me.

My innocent smile faded into a evil grin as I added, "But that doesn't count for after the mission, so Naruto-kun just hold off until then." I laughed evilly freaking everyone out a little. Clearing my throat, I gave a short wave, "Well, I'll be heading out."

I passed the drunk man, "Hey old man, don't bring any sake, you may want to see clearly and not stumble while you walk." I chuckled at everyone's disturbed faces as I closed the door to grab my stuff for the mission.

 Making it to my house I grabbed my backpack. The first thing I grabbed was my nearly empty pill bottle. 'Maybe I should get some more pills, I don't know how long the mission will be.' I thought as I packed my ninja outfit, extra weapons, and medical supplies.

After everything was packed I nodded to myself. I looked at my pill bottle, only seven pills left in it. I then preceded towards the hospital, where I can get my medication.

Walking up to the front desk I was greeted by non other than Kana. She was the medic I saw normally when I came in to either get a check up or to refill my medication. "Hi Yuki-san what brings you here today?" She asked

"Hey Kana-chan just getting a refill on my meds. I'm going out on a mission out of the village, so I don't know when I'll be back and I saw I was running low so yeah." I smiled.

"Okay no problem Yuki-san. It's a good thing you came in,  you never know how long a mission will take." Kana took my bottle quickly refilling it then handed it back to me.

I handed her the money for refilling my medication. "Now be careful, don't over extend yourself and you better come back in one piece." Kana reminded me smiling, I waved and nodded as I ran out the hospital.

Arriving to the gate I saw everyone there waiting for me.

"Yuki-chan! What took you so long?" Naruto yelled.

"Ah, just getting something done before I left." I replied sheepishly, Kakashi took immediate understanding, Sasuke looked like he had a question but thought better than to ask. I looked at my blonde friend who was squirming with excitement.

"This is the first time ever leaving the village! I'm so excited, I'm a traveler now, dattebayo!" Naruto put his hand over his eye as he looked around.

I nodded in agreement as we left the village. I ignored the conversations going on as we walked, me lagging behind.

I was completely oblivious to Sasuke walking beside me until he spoke. "Yuki, why did you stop at the hospital before you came to the gate?" My eyes widened as I turned to look at him.

Luckily we were a good distance away from everyone, so they failed to hear. "Wh- what are you talking abo-"

"Don't play dumb, I saw you walk inside the hospital, why?" Sasuke demanded.

I sighed "Well," I paused. "Well I don't ask you questions, like how the hell you get your hair shaped like a ducks butt." I paused again from his angry face.

"But since this is probably a lot of talking for you, I will tell you, as long as you keep your mouth shut about it." I smiled when he nodded.

"Well let me make a long story short, I have been diagnosed with a illness that does not let me use too much chakra. If I overextend myself, lets just say bad things happen, but I have to take these pills that stop the reaction, although it's only a matter of time before the illness eventually kills me, unless I can find that extremely talented medical ninja to cure it." I quickly explained. "So since we were going out of the village I saw I was running low on my medication, so I went to get a refill. That is why you saw me at the hospital."

His face was shocked "Why didn't you tell the team? Did you even tell Naruto, you two seem really close."

I shook my head. "No, I didn't tell Naruto, I don't want him worrying about me. I don't want him to try to protect me, that's my job Sasuke, to protect Naruto with all I got." I looked over to the blonde ninja smiling talking to Sakura and Kakashi.

Sasuke nodded "One more question, why do you want to protect that baka?"

"Just a promise I made to myself. When I was at my worst Naruto was there for me. After my clan died I was alone, then came Naruto he knew what loneliness felt like. All his life he was ignored and shunned, alone. He understood me, brought me back up from the cold solitude. You know of the loneliness I talk about Sasuke, I can see it in your eyes." I looked Sasuke in the eye, to see him shocked.

"Hey Yuki-chan! What are you doing back there with that Teme!" Naruto shouted.

"Sorry Naruto-kun! I was just reminding Sasuke of our bet!" I said catching up with the others, Sasuke behind me. I ignored the evil look Sakura gave me before she blushed looking at Sasuke.

I stopped again when my foot stepped in a puddle of water. Confused I looked down then up at the sky.

'No clouds, and no rain for a week.' I thought, almost laughing out loud.

I jumped on the puddle making it splash before I ran up to Kakashi looking at him. He nodded, meaning he saw it but wanted me to ignore it.

That was when two ninja's jumped out and wrapped chains around Kakashi. They pulled the chains and then Kakashi appeared as nothing but blood and body parts.Seeing as how Kakashi had given me the look that he knew, I'm sure this was just a substitution. Through that didn't exactly comfort me.

"One down." They said gruffly then advanced towards Naruto. Before they could reach him I ran, knowing Naruto was frozen from fear. Although I was not fast enough, they managed to get a scratch on his hand before I could kick one away.

Making hand signs I said "Jade crystal blade." A multicolored crystal formed on my arm,I blocked the ninja's next attack with the blade. My arm shook with the effort it was taking me to block his attack.

Knowing Sasuke had the other ninja I stayed with Naruto. From the corner of my eye I saw the other ninja go after Tazuna, so that was their target. As Sasuke ran in front of Sakura prepared to block Kakashi appeared.

He took that ninja by the neck and grabbed the other ninja then he held them tightly, almost impossible for them to escape. He then gave a closed eye smile to us.

"Hey." He greeted nonchalantly. "Good job Yuki, Sasuke, well done Sakura. Naruto I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner, I didn't expect you to freeze up like that."

Kakashi tied up the two ninja's to the tree. Sasuke approached Naruto and I. "I hope you're not hurt, scaredy cat?" He taunted.

"Shut up Sasuke! This isn't our first time seeing death, this was Naruto's first time, everyone reacts differently." I snapped as I released my jutsu from my forearm. I glared at the Uchiha, who seemed annoyed with my comment.

Naruto looked pissed off too. He took a step towards Sasuke, but was stopped by Kakashi.

"Naruto don't move, the blade that cut you has poison. Tazuna I need to talk to you." Kakashi turned to Tazuna.

I had stopped listening at the word poison. Naruto had gotten hurt because I had been too slow. Now he has poison running through his system. I failed to keep my promise, to protect Naruto. How could I be so weak? I was too slow, if only I was faster Naruto would not have been hurt.

I suddenly snapped back into reality when I saw Naruto stab himself with a kunai."We continue this mission!" He shouted.

My eyes widened at the sight of my friends blood splattered on the floor. "Naruto-kun, you need to stop the bleeding." I said grabbing my medical supplies.

I bandaged up his hand, not before noticing that his hand had healed already. 'Hmm, that must be...'  I finished wrapping up his hand. "I'm sorry I didn't get to you in time Naruto." I whispered, although Naruto did not seem to hear Kakashi did.

He put a hand on my shoulder, then pointed down to my leg. "You do know you got cut too right? Stop worrying about Naruto as much, worry a little bit more on yourself." Puzzled I looked down at my leg. Sure enough, slightly more deep there was a cut on my leg.

"Weird, I don't remember getting scratched." I shrugged and knelt down to my leg. Taking out a kunai I cut open the cut more. Then I drained the poison. Once most of it was out I wrapped up the wound. Looking up I saw everyone looking at me a little strange.

"What?" I asked.

"Where did you learn to do that?" Sakura asked, seeing interested.

"Ah, my mom actually had some medical knowledge." I answered, surprising myself at how Sakura and I had not yet fought during this mission.

However when Sakura hit Naruto over the head my eye twitched as I tried to keep myself from saying anything. "See Naruto! That is how you drain poison. Not by stabbing yourself!" Sakura yelled.
