Chapter 38- The Kessho Village
I do not own Naruto
-Kessho means crystal-

"So Pervy Sage, where are we going to look first?" I asked as we jumped from tree to tree.
"The Kessho village. I know some people there, and the Akasuki has been seen there." He answered, his eyebrows knitting together. "Though I'm not quite sure how." He mumbled the last part, making it hard for me to hear.
"Kessho village?" I asked.
He glanced at me and nodded. "It's a small village in a area known as the land of crystal. Hardly anyone knows of it."
I felt myself get even more excited. "There's a land of crystal! Is there anyone with crystal chakra?"
"Well, a long time ago, yes. At first it was a well known clan that specialized in crystal chakra. Hence the name, and how the clan looks. But after one of the ninja wars, they were wiped out, except for a few. Your mother was from there and during the war, she was a kid at the time, she was transferred to Konoha." He paused.
"They said it was safer for her, she of course listened as did the other crystal users. For some reason at the time it wasn't safe for them to be there. Since their enemies wanted the crystal users gone that would be the first place they checked. So they sent what crystal users to other villages that were allies. But that didn't last long, since most were either captured and never seen again, or killed." He shook his head at the end.
I looked down slightly as my foot left a mark on the branch. I blinked, pausing only for a second as I stared at the bit of crystal on the branch left from my foot. Shaking my head softly, I kept going, Jiraiya wasn't showing signs of slowing down.
After a moment of silence Jiraiya spoke again, "The only reason no one found out about this village, or were even able to find it is because someone had put up a great Genjutsu. Of course that doesn't last long, seeing as how still some people were able to get through and attack. Luckily the Kessho village has great ninja's."
"Was my mom going to be a ninja there? Before she left to Konoha?" I asked.
"Yeah, if I'm right she was still waiting for them to say when it would be safe for her to come back. But I think she didn't plan on going back to the Kessho village after she started a family with your dad, Teno." He smiled, I narrowed my eyes at his smile. There were very few times his smile was because of an innocent manner.
"You're not having perverted thoughts of my mother are you?" I narrowed my eyes.
"Wha- No! No! Why would I-" Jirayia stopped, a small chuckle escaping him. "You're so much like her." Although the last part was only a whisper I hadn't heard.
"What was that?" I asked.
"N-nothing! Just run faster." Jirayia mumbled as he picked up his speed more.
"Uh-huh, okay." I forced my legs faster.

~1 Day later~

"We have been running for three hours! Can we take a break?" I asked as Jirayia finally slowed a little.
"What? You getting tired?" He asked smugly. "Maybe if you grew a bit running wouldn't take as much energy from you."
I puffed out my cheeks, my stomach rumbling. "I'm just hungry, Baka." My height wasn't a good subject to touch.
His eye twitched. "Well you can wait, our ally is going to meet us in an area closer around here, come on."
I sighed, "Fine."
Something shinned off the ground catching my eye. Looking closer I saw it was a piece of pink crystal.
"Hey Pervy Sage! Look!" I pointed as he looked in the direction I pointed to.
"Ah, that must be the end of the trail my friend left." As he jumped down I followed.
Looking around I narrowed my eyes. 'One, two, three, four ninja's.' I performed hand signs.
"Jade crystal blade twins!" I shouted just as they lundged for me.
The blade on my forearms blocked their weapons. Looking closer at the weapons I saw they were made of pink crystal, just then Jirayia had jumped in front of me.
"She's fine Suki!" He shouted before they could attack more.
"Jirayia, I had knowledge of you coming, but not with anyone else." The woman paused looking at me before smiling. "A crystal user, she looks a lot like.." She trailed off.
I narrowed my eyes as I kept my stance.
"Hey Pervy Sage, who's this?" I asked looking at the female. Her hair was let down, it rippled in brown waves, shocked blue eyes looked at me.
"It's fine Yuki, she's one of my other friends, Suki." He smiled.
"So, she's an allie?" I asked to confirm, once he nodded I let my stance fall.
I dropped my jutsu as I put my hand out to shake. Instead I was pulled into a hug. Reacting quickly I released the seal I had put on Jiraiya earlier.
Appearing behind him I looked back at the woman. She looked confused and shocked before she smiled.
"You look so much like-" She shook her head at her comrades as they stood beside her. Each of their headbands had a symbol that looked similar to crystal.
"We apologise for attacking you. Our village is hidden, only a few know of the place and we would like to keep it that way. So after seeing you with Jirayia we just reacted, very stupidly at that. Please forgive us." Suki clasped her hands together and bowed.
"It's fine, although I am wondering if your village is so hidden then how do the Akasuki know? Or is it just a coincidence?" I asked as we resumed walking.
"That I don't know. You'll have to ask our leader. So, you have crystal chakra?" Suki asked.
"Yeah, does anyone else have it? Maybe I can learn some more jutsu's." I smiled excited.
"Well, we do have one, but if I remember right he is on a mission. Also he is a little, what's the word- rude to outsiders." She smiled slightly.
"Oh, well if you guys don't have any more crystal chakra, then why are you in, um, crystal looking armor?" I asked looking at each one of them. Their body's were protected by what looked like different colored crystal armor.
"Well, that is how our ninja normaly dress. The crystal is a mark of our village, and it protects well." Another ninja answered.
"I bet I could make a jutsu for that." I whispered to myself before turning to Jirayia. "We are going to get some training in this right?"
He sighed but nodded. "If we have any time, then yes."
I smiled but paused when I heard the bushes shake. Instantly I performed my jade crystal blade twins. Then jumped out another ninja, he jumped at me with a crystal sword.
His dark brown hair was in his eyes as he swung down. I brought my blades up to block. A clash was heard as out crystal clashed together. I winced slightly under the pressure he was placing behind the blade.
"Arashi!" Suki shouted as I swong my leg up and pushed him away.
He didn't listen and instead ran at me again. Faster than him I performed hand signs, "Crystal needles."
Pink crystal formed from the earth holding him still. "Who are you?!" He shouted enraged.
"Yuki Okami, who are you?" I asked.
"Arashi." I looked at him for his last name my eyebrow raised. "You're not getting my last name! Any how do you have crystal chakra?" His voice was harsh.
"I got it from my mother, from the looks of it you're from the Kessho village, sorry." I smiled sweetly as I released him from my crystal.
"Who's your mother?" He pressed stepping towards me.
"Mai Okami." Was my answer.
"Mai, s-she was your mother?!" He shouted still shocked, I simply nodded.
"Where is she? I haven't seen her in forever!" His once nasty look changed to one of happiness.
"Now that you mention it, where is she? Normally she would visit every couple months. It's been a could years." Suki stepped forward.
I looked down. "She, the clan, everyone is dead." I whispered.
"W-What? No that can't be true. She can't be dead!" Arashi shouted enraged.
"Well, it is." I said coldly before turning to Jirayia. "Can we go on with the mission."
Jirayia sighed. "Yes, I supose we should, we do have a time limit."
I turned to Suki who looked shocked, again, and pale. I narrowed my eyes in confusion when she swayed slightly. Realization dawned on me when she collapsed, only I caught her before she hit the floor.
Instanly my hands glowed green as I checked what was wrong.
"Suki!" Arashi shouted running to her side.
"I don't seem to find anything wrong. I think Granny said something once about some people passing out from shock." I stated picking up the much larger than me adult.
"Okay, I guess you lead the way." I said looking at Arashi. He looked at me for a moment before he listened.
"Yuki, you want me to hold her?" Jirayia asked, a certain look in his eye.
I glared at him slightly, "No you pervert! You just want to try something!"
His mouth dropped as he shook his head, "No! That's not it!"
I ignored him as I shifted the woman over my shoulder, I sighed as she almost touched the ground because of our height difference.
"There's a genjutsu." I said as I released myself from the jutsu.
"Yeah, that's supost to help protect out village from others. Although it didn't seem to work on the two Akasuki members who appeared." Arashi replied.
