Tomorrow was the deadline, and neither Naruto or I have been at the hotel all week. I laid panting on the ground where everything was destroyed from both Naruto and I. Staggering to my feet I made myself try one more time, concentrating chakra to my hand I saw the blue chakra form into a ball. I steadied my breathing, forcing myself to concentrate harder this time.

Then I attacked the tree, pushing the blue orb of chakra into it. Although this time it didn't leave the swirl pattern that it had before. This time it cut through the whole tree like Jirayia's Rasengan did. My body fell forward, stumbling against the now broken tree. My eyes widened in shock as I froze. I looked to the ground, where my hands had caught me. Bringing up my hand that had formed the rasengan I let the information process in my head. Once the victory registered in my head, I jumped up fist pumping the air.

"Yosh! I did it!" I shouted in victory, laughter sounding from my lips.

Just when I didn't think anything would get in the way of my victory, the sharp pain welcomed me. Immediately my body fell to the ground, my face now scrunched up in pain. My lungs contracted, forcing a violent bloody cough from me. Blood fell to the ground, a few drops lingering on my lips. I clenched my chest as the pain grew, feeling as if I was being stabbed in the chest multiple times.

Naruto had passed out long ago, and I was thankful for that. I don't like showing this side to anyone, especially him. My hand reached out for my bottle of pills that had fallen away from me. My body was quickly shutting down, and I couldn't reach the bottle. Blackness edged its way into my vision, forcing a panic onto me. My hand shook as I stretched it out, only to grasp dirt. More blood filled my mouth, slowly dribbling out as I found I couldn't move.

How pathetic. I was losing to my illness, all because my medication was just a hair too far. My vision was soon more darkness that light. My lungs forced out one more violent cough, making my throat feel raw. Then, my vision was completely gone, replaced by darkness, which welcomed me.

With my body no longer in pain, I found that the darkness was leaving me. Beneath me I felt a warm bed, which leaned to the side as if someone was sitting on it.

I opened my eyes as I felt myself on a warm bed. Looking up I saw Shizune on the floor asleep. Naruto was sleeping beside me, his hands were bandaged. After a bit of thinking, I came to the conclusion that Shizune brought Naruto and I to a hotel. Glancing down at my hands, I realized they were bandaged as well. I guess Shizune had taken the time to help both Naruto and I.

Just then Naruto woke up, he saw Shizune on the floor passed out. He looked over at me, confusion settling in his face. I only shrugged as an answer to his face. Be started to get up, me following his example. We both walked over to Shizune, where we shared a glance. Leaning down, I poked Shizune in the shoulder.

"Pst, Shizune wake up." I poked her again, her eyes opened. Her eyes widened in surprise as she jumped back.

"EEEK!" I winced at the loud shriek, it could rival Sakura's fangirl squeals over Sasuke. "Quick Naruto, Yuki what day is it?" We looked at her funny.

"Uh, Friday I guess?" I shrugged, I sure hoped it was Friday anyway.

"Wait it's only Friday? How come you're both awake? You're supposed to be out for the next three days!" Naruto and I grinned.

"A good night's sleep and I'm all good." I looked at Naruto to see him taking off his bandages.

"Yup, that's good you heal quick since you're pretty reckless. Although, I don't know why I heal so quick, maybe i just have a strong will?" I giggled as Naruto pouted.

Shizune looked at us kindly, then she looked as if she remembered something. She shot up from her spot on the floor telling Naruto and I to stay at the hotel before opening the window, only to have a kunai almost hit her. I ran out to see non other than Jirayia, but he looked a little weird. He panted while he put a hand on the wall to help support him, his eyes drooping.

"Tsunade drugged me." He panted which resulted to Shizune's eyes widening.

"I'll be right back, let me get you something that may help you." Shizune ran back inside to grab something to drink while Naruto and I went outside.

After Shizune gave Jirayia some water we went out for Tsunade. Although at first Jirayia didn't want me going with them, for some unknown reason, but finally agreed. To be completely honest, even if the old per had refused I still would have gone. We stopped at a place that looked awful. Cracks, craters and broken stone fences surrounded us.

"Woah, what happened here?" Naruto asked looking around at the damage.

Jiraiya looked around, " Well, well. I'd say something put Tsunade in a bad mood, she's got a foul temper."

I looked shocked after looking at the damage, "Tsunade did this?" Jirayia nodded. I knew she was strong, but I didn't think one woman could do this much damage. What exactly had gotten Tsunade so angry she had to do this?

"Well okay, but where's the grumpy old bat now?" Naruto looked around. After noticing Tsunade's jacket, Shizune had Tonton sniff it. I blinked as the pig started to follow the scent of Tsunade. I guess pigs have more use than just food. We soon found ourselves leaving the little town. I could now sense three chakra signatures, which I assumed to be Tsuande and whoever had angered her.

We were close enough to hear the voice. "So you have a fear of blood. Let's put it to the test, shall we?" If I was correct, that voice sounded as if it be,on get to that snake guy from the Chunin exams. Naruto and I shared a look, which was followed by him reaching into his pouch. Naruto threw a smoke bomb, which gave us the opportunity to form a protective line in front of Tsunade.

Once the smoke cleared, we could see who exactly it was that was threatening Tsunade. As I had guessed, it was the snake guy, I believe s name was Orochimaru. Standing beside him was the guy I just couldn't trust, Kabuto. Good to know my gut feeling was right.

"It's been a long time, old friend." Orochimaru hissed, smirking at Jiraiya.

I made a face at Jiraiya. "You used to be friends with that creepy pedo?"

That caught Orochimaru's attention. "Ahh and I see you brought little Yuki-chan along, good that will save me some time." I blinked, what was that supposed to mean?

Jirayia then replied to Orochimaru ignoring the snakes comment. "Long time indeed, and I can't say it's improved your looks."

"Hey Kabuto!" Naruto pointed at him causing Kabuto to smile. I hope Naruto didn't think Kabuto was still on our side.

"Naruto, Yuki." He replied.

"You've met this guy before Naruto, Yuki?" Jirayia asked, both of us nodded.

"Yeah, but I always thought he was weird." I mumbled.

Naruto ignored me, "Well yeah we have. He took the Chunin exams with us. What are you doing here Kabuto?"

Just then Tsunade pushed us aside. "Out of my way! Stay out of this, I can handle them!" She tried to kick him, but Kabuto ducked.

She chased after him. "So, you've recovered quickly, but you're still not a hundred percent!" She kept trying to get a couple punches in.

Soon she had him cornered, "The games up kid!"

Kabuto then grabbed a kunai that was lounged in the rock. "To late for that!" Tsunade shouted.

Kabuto did something unexpected, he stabbed himself in the hand. I blinked, my body tensing. Why would someone on purpose injure themselves in the middle of a fight, unless he has some kind of jutsu for such a thing. Naruto and I stared shocked as Tsunade broke down. "Your jutsu's worn off, now I am at a hundred percent!" Kabuto sneered while Tsunade shivered fearfully.

Was she afraid of blood? I wanted to shake my head at that thought, she was a medical ninja. There was no way she could be afraid of such a thing, right?

"I knew I would never be able to take down two of the legendary Sanin" Kabuto explained. " But at least I got one down!" He punched Tsunade sending her into Shizune.

Naruto turned to Kabuto. "I don't get it, what's going on? I'm confused did I miss something?" I shook my head, poor Naruto. He always saw the good in people.

"How come Kabuto and granny Tsunade are fighting?" Naruto continued.

Kabuto chuckled darkly. "I see you're as slow as ever Naruto. No wonder you're no match for Sasuke."

I glared at Kabuto, there was no way I would tolerate someone such as him bad mouthing Naruto. "I'm sorry Kabuto, but I think you have the names mixed up. I believe it is Sasuke who is no match for Naruto-kun. You just need to keep your mouth shut."

"If you want your answer, just look at his headband, he serves Orochimaru." Jirayia pointed to Kabuto's headband.

"That's right, I'm a spy for the village hidden in the sound." Kabuto smirked.

"But a spy, that's impossible." Naruto looked down. "You don't really mean it." He finished hopeful, I didn't want to shatter his hope. However, it would need to be done with Kabuto.

"I'm sorry Naruto-kun, but from what I've seen it's true. Why else would he attack Tsunade?" I gently placed a hand on his shoulder.

"But Yuki-chan, he helped us through the Chunin exams." Naruto pleaded.

"That was to get information on you guys. That was my mission, and I learned one very important thing about you Naruto." He paused ignoring me. "You lack any ninja ability, you're not a bit like Sasuke." Naruto's look turned to hatred, I felt my muscles tense ready for when Naruto would strike.

Both Naruto and I glared. "Go on glare at me all you guys want. You're both just pint size Genin who are in over your heads." Kabuto urged. "I'll admit that the demon inside you had me worried for a time, but surrounded by three of the legendary Sanin I see how useless you are. Next to them you're a child sitting at the grown-up's table. Stay out of it!" He grinned, "Or die."

He turned to me next, his grin still in place. "You on the other hand, you're almost a prodigy. Getting both the Tensai and Crystal style, it's never been heard of. But your illness holds you back, Orochimaru can fix that. I may not be allowed to kill you Yuki, but I can severely harm you. I suggest you follow the same advise I gave to Naruto, stay out of it."

From the corner of my eye I saw Naruto tense up ready to strike, my toes curled as I got ready to charge along with him.

"Oh yeah!" Naruto shouted as he charged, me behind him as we ignored Jirayia's pleas to stop. If Naruto was going in, so was I. Especially with a person as dangerous as Kabuto.

While Naruto made clones I did hand signs for the Jade crystal blade. We both targeted his harmed side. Somehow he was able to block all of Naruto's attacks and avoid my crystal blade. He swung his hand splashing blood over Naruto and my eyes. Quickly he kicked both of us back, luckily Shizune caught us. She shot poison needles out of her mouth, aimed at Kabuto.

"Thanks Shizune." Naruto and I mumbled in unison.

Orochimaru then summoned a snake, while Shizune was going to take care of Kabuto, Naruto and I were supposed to protect Tsunade. Jirayia tried to summon a toad, but that poison Tsunade gave him affected it. In result, all he got from his summoning was a small toad, which reminded me of Naruto's first attempts. Naruto grinned, following after Jiraiya. However, he shared the same results as the Sanin.

I shook my head, stepping forward. "Pervy sage I'll summon one of my wolfs, he will at least help you fight a little."

I bit my thumb then did the hand signs, putting them on the floor I shouted, "Summoning jutsu!"

Out of the smoke came Ace, the wolf I had summoned earlier. He bowed, "M'lady, what can I help you with?"

I blinked, "First of all, don't call me that. It's just Yuki. I need you to fight with Jirayia sensei. Tsunade kinda poisned him a little so he can't summon."

Ace turned to Jirayia after nodding to me. Orochimaru lunged at us on his snake. Ace and Jirayia got ready as did everyone else. The huge snakes lunged for all of causing the ground to break and for all of us to be airborne.

Just as Naruto was about to be swallowed by one of the snakes I pushed him out of the way, although that did not seem to help as the snake just went back for him. Strange, it didn't even try to eat me.

As I chased after the snake I soon saw Naruto holding the mouth open, yelling "I am not letting you eat me a second time!" Just as I got there the snake hit both Naruto and I against a rock.

"A second time?" I asked.

Naruto glanced at me, "I sorta got eaten by a snake during the Chunin exams."

Just then I heard Tsunade shout, I groaned slowly getting up. I saw Kabuto kicking her while she cowered on the floor, the sight only seemed to anger both Naruto and I. Just as Kabuto went to punch Tsunade, Naruto got there first blocking the punch with his head.

As I ran for them I performed handsigns. "Crimson fruit!" Crystal formed a protective shell around Tsunade while I went to Naruto's side.

"Back off!" Naruto growled. "That's enough already you traitor!" He started to perform the Rasengan.

I stood ready to back him up. Kabuto bypassed Naruto touching his leg while his hand was glowing blue. Naruto fell while Kabuto looked smug. As Kabuto pulled out one of his cards to mock Naruto, I grew angry. I may not have Tsunade's strength, but it will work.

I ran at him, then punched him in the head. "You know, your fat mouth is really starting to get irritating." I stated as he stumbled forward.

Kabuto was quick to turn and punch me in the arm, I flew back into my crystal that was protecting Tsunade. As I tried to get up I realized that the muscle in my arm was now weaker. He turned to Naruto again, to mock him. As Kabuto started to kick Naruto, my blood boiled. 'Come on Naruto, if I save you your pride will be hurt.' I silently pleaded. Just then Naruto caught Kabuto's foot, surprising Kabuto.

Just then Kabuto's hand started to glow blue again. "You should have stayed out of this, Naruto." He hit Naruto sending him my way.

As Naruto got up I stood beside him, having accidentally released the jutsu that was protecting Tsunade I got in a fighting stance. "Will you just shut up Kabuto!" I shouted turning on my Tensai then turning it to the Byakugan. If he got any closer I would stop his chakra network. I hope I would be able to anyway, I haven't really tried to use this before.

He did advance, but I was only able to hit one arm before his blue hand hit me in the stomach sending me back. "Stay out of this Yuki." I coughed up blood but ignored it.

Naruto looked prepared as Kabuto, with only one fighting hand right now, took out a kunai with his only good arm. Naruto made a clone then when Kabuto ran at him he grabbed Kabuto's hand with the kunai tightly. Having holding Kabuto still he made his clone make the Rasengan in his other hand. Having his target in front of his was easy as he pushed the Rasengan in Kabuto's stomach, but Kabuto had hit Naruto's heart before he went flying.

Just as Kabuto hit the rock, Naruto spat up blood. I went to catch him as he fell onto the grass. I looked down at Naruto, his breathing was shallow as his eyes shut.

"Tsunade, please help Naruto!" I begged.

Just as she did I saw Orochimaru coming at Naruto with a sword sticking out of his mouth. Acting on impulse I stood up just as the sword came down, going right through me. I slat up blood my eyes widening.

"Stay away from Naruto, and Tsunade! You snake pedo!" I grabbed onto the sword then performed the Rasengan in my hand. Although before I could hit Orochimaru with it, Kabuto ran at it taking the hit he went back to the floor, this time passed out.

Orochimaru pulled the sword out of my stomach, but tried to go around me. I grabbed the sword, ignoring the pain I felt in my sliced up hands.

"W-Why do you protect him?" Orochimaru asked stunned at my actions.

"Because I promised myself, I would protect him with my last dying breath." My voice faltered as my illness took over.

I knew with all of the damage I took, and with how much chakra I used, I was done for. Looking at Tsunade as blackness tugged at me I whispered. "Do me a favor, since I may not make it through this. Make sure you protect Naruto. Please." With that I collapsed onto the ground letting darkness surround me.

~Tsunade's Pov~

Just as Yuki fell to the floor Ace took off in our direction. He drove Orochimaru back to Jirayia, good thing too, now I could try to heal these two.

I looked down at the two kids, they both mastered that jutsu. After healing Naruto, knowing he was stable I put my necklace around him. I can see why Yuki cares for him so much. I also had to keep my end of the bet too. I would heal Yuki's illness, not only because of the bet, but because she was my goddaughter. One that I have ignored.

I kneeled next to her, she wasn't breathing! Quickly I performed CPR, getting her lungs and heart going again. After she started breathing a little I healed the stomach wound.

Looking at her I remembered how her mother was. Mai was one of my best students I took on, although it was only for a little just so she could get some medical knowledge. Yuki looked so much like her, I knew once Jirayia told me her name, I would try to take her on as a student, if she wanted me to.

Now that i know about her illness I was more worried. Her hands were still burned, not to mention all cut up from grabbing the sword. After I got her stable I heard a poof, meaning Ace had just left. I stood up, it was time for me to fight. I wasn't going to let these two risk their lives for nothing, it was time to end Orochimaru.
