My body jerked awake at the loud explosions and terrified screams. Immediately my body screamed in pain, but I ignored it and walked to the window.

Nothing could have prepared me for the scene outside. People were cut down, and building now later in ruin. The sight of my village torn apart made me sick. I tried to open the window to find it was sealed shut.

My attention was brought to the door, which I quickly crossed the room to. Though once I gripped the knob I found it was locked. They must have locked me in here when the fighting started.

Though the nurses had patched up my injuries, the pain lingered. I may not be much help, but my worry for my team had settled in. Especially my worry for my blonde friend. I might have enough chakra for a summoning jutsu, but I would have to hope I didn't get a tiny newborn wolf.

Before I could do anything, the door to my room was busted down. I jumped back, getting into a defence stance. My body howled in pain once more, but it was pushed aside. It was a sound ninja that had broke down my door.

"Yuki Okami?" He asked.

Narrowing my eyes I said, "What's it to you?"

Before I could even respond I had chakra stings tied around me. My arms were pressed together and I wobbled to keep my balance. I clenched my teeth as I looked ahead to see a sand ninja beside the sound. I struggled against the chakra strings knowing it was useless.

"Orochimaru-sama wants you." The sound ninja walked over to me grabbed me then walked out of the hospital. I felt my blood boil as I saw sound and sand ninja fighting the leaf ninja, destroying my village.

Slowly I moved my hands to my kunai, if I could just grab one maybe I can infuse some chakra into it to cut the strings. I bit my lip as I grabbed it, then I tried to infuse the chakra into the kunai hoping it would work.

Although it seems I didn't need to do that concerding the sand ninja lost focus on keeping the strings and he lost them. I smirked slightly as I kicked the sound ninja then jumped out of his arms.

"Hey! Get her!" He shouted to three other sound ninja as he pointed at me.

My heart raced as I was surrounded by five ninja's. I knew I couldn't take them all on, let alone with my small amount of chakra.

Once again I felt like the little kid who was defenseless when I was needed most. Deciding to take the risk I bit my thumb then performed the summoning jutsu.

"Stop her before she-" I cut off the sound ninja.

"Summoning jutsu!" In front of me in a puff of smoke came a black and red wolf.

He took a fighting stance as I fell on top of him. "Please h-help" I whispered trying to stay awake.

Luckily he didn't ask questions as he attacked any ninja that came near. When he saw a opening he darted off trying to get away from the ninja's. "Thanks, my name it Yuki Okami."

He answered, "Nice to meet you Yuki, my name is Ace."

I smiled weakly as darkness consumed me, only then did I notice that more ninja's had surrounded us.

~Jirayia's POV~

I noticed a black and red wolf running away from five sound and five sand ninja's. Although what was on the back of the wolf was what had me worried, a blonde ninja non-other than Yuki. It appeared that she was unconscious.

I finished off the ninja infront of me before I ran after the wolf.

"What are you doing with Yuki?" I asked as I ran beside the black and red wolf.

He glanced at me growling at first before he recognised me. "Jiraiya!" He sounded pleased. "The child passed out from low chakra. She summoned me as five ninja's were about to take her captive. Something about Orochimaru. Although since I need to protect her all I can do is run away from them."

My eye's narrowed, Orochimaru wanted Yuki? I held out my hands, "Let me see her, you fight off those ninja, I will find a safe place for Yuki."

Even then he narrowed his eye's at me, "How do I know I can trust you? You could be in a transformation jutsu." As protective as always.

"Believe me, I'm Jirayia, don't you remember? I am her godfather, although only Mai's wolf's and I know that but I am. Also her mother, Mai was a student of mine, I'm sure you remember that since I helped Mai do her summoning jutsu. I promised to take care of Yuki, now let me take care of her." That information seemed to be enough for him as he slowed and I took Yuki from his back.

Running I made my way to a place where Yuki would be safe. I won't let Orochimaru have Yuki, not while I am still breathing!

~Time skip~ (skipping the 3rd Hokage's funeral)

~Yuki's POV~

I walked to the training ground's dragging my feet kicking rocks as I went. Yesterday was the old man's funeral. I had made yet another promise that day, one that I intend to keep. The promise was similar to the promise I made to myself for Naruto. I was going to protect this village even if I died doing to. The old man had done so, and I will too, no questions asked.

As I was walking I heard two sets of feet, one running, the other walking. I was going to ignore it until I heard a familiar voice yell my name.

Stopping I turned around to see Naruto running at me, Jiraiya behind him. I waved, "Hey Naruto-kun!"

I gave him a closed eye smile. "Hey Yuki-chan, Pervy sage just asked my to go on a journey with him!" He grinned, pointing at the man behind him.

I felt my smile drop slightly feeling disappointed, Naruto would be going on a trip, while I would be stuck here. Faking a smile I replied "That's cool."

"Yeah! He's going to train me too! Oh I almost forgot! You're suppost to come with us too!" I felt my eyes widen in shock and happiness.

"Pervy sage can train you too! Then we can go get the lady Pervy sage want's to get. Although I think he just wants to peek on girls in the bathhouse. Dattebayo!" Naruto rambled on until I calmly put my hand on his mouth. I used to do this to him when we were younger, since he would never shut up. I haven't had to do this in a while.

"Yes Naruto-kun I will go with you guys. Just let me go refill my medication and get some things. I'll meet you two at the gate in one hour." Letting go of his mouth I smiled and ran full speed to the hospital.

All I heard before I left was "Wow, she is a lot faster than I thought." That must have been Jirayia.

I had packed everything I needed and was waiting at the gate with Jiraiya. I signed then turned to see a orange blob running towards us.

"Come on Naruto-kun!" I shouted as Jirayia and I started walking, Naruto not far behind us.

We were now a good distance from the village and Naruto started to talk again.

"So, why did you pick me to go on this trip with you? Is it because of how great of a ninja I am?" Naruto asked grinning as he jumped up and down.

"To be honest." Jirayia said glancing down at Naruto."The only reason I took you, Naruto is because you have a really weird resemblance to the fourth Hokage."

Naruto stopped jumping around. Knowing Naruto, he would only take that as a compliment. "Wait, so you're saying that I look like the forth Hokage?" He blinked, then grinned pushing his fist in the air. "Sweet, that must really mean I'm a awesome ninja!" He jumped in the air.

Then he noticed some dog poop, although when he tried to stay in the air it did nothing. "No, no, no!" He shouted before he landed on the poop. "Aww man!"

I wrinkled my nose, that would have ruined any thoughts of him thinking anything great about Naruto. "Nope it's only the looks." He paused slightly amused then he asked himself, "Where does he get all that energy?"

I shrugged. "Hey, is there any reason you chose me to come with you?" My green eye's curious as I asked.

While Naruto ignored us, trying to scrape off the poop from his shoes Jirayia answered. "Well the lady we are looking for I thought you may want to meet. Also like I told Naruto, you have a resemblance to another student of mine."

I blinked, tilting my head. Who could that be?

"Boing boing boing!" Naruto chuckled as he played with the 'cursed bells'. I turned to look at him amused, only to see him using shadow clones to hold him up while he played with the bells. I shook my head, looking back at the empty road. My eyes narrowed, there was a nagging feeling that there was someone else here. Almost like I can feel someone, no two people, close by.

"You keep that up, you'll be cursed I tell you." Jiraia chided as he took a bite of his food.

I looked around, the feeling of being watched was bothering me. "I'll be back."

"Where are you going Yuki-chan?" Naruto paused playing with the bells to look at me.

"I'm going to do something that you almost did in front of Sakura and I during the forest of death." I smiled and held in a giggle when Naruto turned red in embarrassment.

"Do I really want to know what happned?" Jirayia asked as I walked into the wooded area.

I walked a little further to where if I talked they would not hear me. However if I was in any trouble they could still help me.

"Is someone there? Cause if you are, you suck at hiding your presence." I might not be able to sense any chakra, but I knew when I was being watched. My mother had always told be to trust my gut feeling, although when no one came out I shrugged and went back to the boys. I should have been smart enough to know nobody actually comes out when told, especially if their hiding themselves.

When I came back Jirayia was striking a weird pose while he stood on a bridge.

I sighed. "Pervy sage, stop striking poses. If you're going to do it, then do it right." I grabbed Naruto, who just set the bells back onto the hook then we strike our own poses.

"Now that's how you strike a pose, right Naruto-kun?" Naruto and I laughed, Jirayia sweatdropped.

"Well anyway, lets go find a hotel." Jirayia went towards the town, Naruto and I followed.

The hotel we had chosen wasn't half bad, and the price was pretty cheap. I'm assuming Jiraiya will pay this time. As soon as he had asked for a room with three beds a woman had walked in.

As soon as the boys saw he they started making googly eyes. I rolled my eyes, grabbed the hotel room key and walked away.

I might as well go pick out the best bed. Although just as I opened the door Naruto showed up, looking a little upset.

"Pervy sage told us to meditate until he gets back." He pouted, this only caused me to laugh as I walked into the room.

"Oh be happy Naruto-kun. I have a feeling that all she wants is money from that old pervert." That didn't seem to help at all.

I took the bed closest to the door while Naruto took the middle one.

Sitting on the bed I sat down Indian style as I put my hands together and closed my eyes to meditate. Naruto followed, only on his bed, and he kept mumbling.

I managed to block out the sound of Naruto's mumbling. A newfound pease lingered in me. Though either Naruro's mumbling had increased throughout the meditation or he had multiplied. I peaked one eye open.

I don't know how this happened, but the room was filled with shadow clones of Naruto, all meditating and complaining about Jiraiya. I sighed, of course Naruto has to make a simple task more complicated.

They all poofed when there was a knock on the door. I got up, "I'll get it!"

"Gosh Pervy sage did she dump you already?!" Naruto got up after me.

I opened the door to see two tall men, in black cloaks with red clowds. One was blue and looked like a fich, the other made my heart skip a beat. There in front of me was non other than Itachi Uchiha, the same man who used to help me when I would get beat up as a kid.

The same man who killed the Uchiha clan without a second thought. The man who left Sasuke alone.

His Sharingan eyes looked down at me. "Yuki Okami." He muttered, almost as in greeting, then looked at Naruto. "Naruto Uzumaki I'm going to need you two to come with me."

I narrowed my eye's at them just as Naruto showed up beside me. "Hard to believe that this boy has the nine tails in him." Fish boy said.

I pushed Naruto behind me, these were defiantly people who were not here for good intentions. "Itatchi can I chop off the nine tails host legs, we don't want him running now do we?"

Both mine and Naruto's eyes widened. I put myself into a defence stance grabbing a kunai.

"You won't touch Naruto-kun, not while I am still alive." I shouted.

Fish boy laughed. "I would kill you, but that would be a waste. Besides, a certain someone would be angry if anything were to happen to you." He smirked at my confused face. "Though Itachi has the Sharingan and I am one of the legendary sword's men, you don't stand a chance against us, you are still a child."

"Oh yeah!" I snarled turning on my Tensai, then making it turn into the Sharingan.

Both looked a little shocked at first before they composed themselves. Before they could try anything Sasuke showed up.
