Chapter 2- The Graduation Test

I do not own naruto

I sat next to Iruka for a moment, trying to control the coughing as the pain in my chest didn't waver. My sensei's worry only seemed to increase as my coughing didn't stop for a while and my hand was now stained crimson. WIth shaking hands, I tied to stop the coughing. While the pain was still there, I was soon able to get my coughing under control.

I took a breath to steady myself. "I have to be careful of my chakra use. Even though I have a lot, sometimes even the least amount can made me do... well this." I paused looking down to the blood on the ground. "Some days I don't even have to use any chakra and this happens. Don't you worry though sensei, I'm fine really. Nothing new for me." I waved it off slowly getting to my feet. Trying to act like the burning pain in my chest wasn't there.

Iruka eyed me wary. "Are you sure you're okay?"

I nodded and did my best to convince him, despite the pain I was feeling. Iruka stared at me for a while before standing up. "Well, just know that if anything happens and you need anyone, I'm here. Don't be afraid to ask." I nodded in response, just wanting him to leave. After another moment of looking at me worriedly, he turned and left.

I waited for a little bit before I started to stand up. My legs wobbled for a moment before I steadied myself. I had wanted to train today, but considering I just had an episode it was probably best I didn't. Besides, tomorrow I have my graduation test and I wanted to make sure I showed up on time.

It was dark outside already, and the younger academy students had already been picked up from their parents at the park. I paused outside the gate to the park, staring at the playground. It had once been a happy place for me, but once my clan passed it no longer seemed happy. Instead it was replaced by the constant reminder that I was alone and had no one to pick me up, or welcome me home.

Continuing my way towards the Okami compound the only sound around me was the patter of my shoes hitting the ground and the soft chirping of crickets. The compound was deserted, but I just couldn't find myself to leave. Sure the place was filled with bad memories, but the good memories were there as well. Besides, I took it upon myself to keep the Okami name, and with that I needed to stay at the clan compound.

I was overdo for my medication, which was most likely why I had the attack. Quickly making it to my home, I opened the door in a hurry. Not wanting another attack, I ran to my bathroom where my medication sat on the counter. Opening the bottle, I popped a crimson pill in my mouth. Turning on the tap, I cupped some water then drank down the pill.

Exhausted from today's events, I slipped on some pajamas then flopped down on my bed. My heavy eyes closed and almost instantly I was asleep.

"Mo-I mean sensei, what is this about a Kekkai Genkai? And my chakra type?" I corrected myself remembering how mom always told me to call her sensei. When we were training it wasn't Mom, she was sensei.

The older version of me grinned slightly, love showing in her blue eyes. She smiled down at me as she said, "Well if you're more like me than your father, not in looks, but on chakra type, you would have the crystal type chakra. Only special people have crystal type chakra, I am of the two in our clan that have it so far." The other person would be you." She handed me a flower then turned it to crystal making me giggle.

"Although your dad, he has a rare Kekkai Genkai, we call it the Tensai. Now once again the Tensai is hard to get, only a handful of our clan have it, unlike the Uchiha clan where normally most of the males get the Sharingan. Of course no one thinks you will get it due to the fact that only two other females in our clan have obtained the Tensai. I believe you will contain it though, because you are a very special girl, being the daughter of both a crystal type chakra mother and a Kekkai Genkai father. Now if you do get the Tensai, it allows you to copy other bloodline limits. It also has a few other uses, but we'll get to that later." She looked at me to make sure I was listening.

"Now because I believe you will have these, I want to train you in some advanced jutsus, but you can't let anyone know you're training with me, understood? Not even your dad. He may not agree with me on this, but I want you to be prepared for anything. Agreed?" She held out her hand.

I nodded my head. "Agreed sensei!" Then I placed my small hand inside her grown one.

I woke up to the feeling of someone poking my face. Quickly the normal grogginess disappeared as I realized I lived alone. Opening my eyes I was greeted by big blue ones.

I blinked, "Naruto?"

"Yeah, Yuki-chan?" He replied casually.

"What are you doing in my house?" I asked, my eye twitching.

"Oh, well you see I thought I would get you before school, since yesterday you were late for sleeping in. Then I noticed your window was unlocked so I opened it. Now, here I am. Oh do you have any ramen? I ran out." He rubbed the back of his head, grinning.

"Yeah it's in the pantry, go make yourself some ramen while I get ready. Oh, and Naruto-kun?" I called, standing up from my bed.

He turned to look at me, "Yeah, Yuki-chan?"

I looked him dead in the eyes saying, "Don't you ever break into my house again. It's creepy."

'Mental note, lock all the windows before going to bed,' I thought.

He laughed and nodded, then ran off to the kitchen. I shook my head knowing that it went in one ear and out the other. The next time he breaks in my home, I'll be stealing any ramen he has. Grabbing a change of clothes, I headed for the bathroom.

Quickly, I took a shower and I ran a brush through my hair. Once I finished, I put my hair in the normal pigtails and threw on my ninja outfit. Once I had my clothes on, I put on my shoes and walked into the kitchen to see that Naruto had eaten three bowls of ramen already. It was a good thing I kept ramen handy for when he wanted to eat.

I sweatdropped. "I'm ready Naruto-kun, so are you prepared for the exam today?" I asked as we left my home.

"You bet Yuki-chan! Believe it! I just hope it's not the clone jutsu, that's my worst one." I laughed at his excitement.

"Yeah well if you get lucky Naruto-kun it will be on the sexy jutsu, you will ace it then." I teased, nudging him. He laughed in agreement.

We walked to the classroom doors and proceeded to our seats. Everyone chatted quite loudly as we waited for Iruka to show up. Looking at the row in front of me I saw Shikamaru sleeping. Beside him was Choji, who always seemed to have chips handy. Leaning over my desk, I poked Shikamaru in his back. When he didn't respond I poked him again.

"Ne, Shikamaru, Iruka sensei will be here soon, you may want to get up." I said.

He groaned, lifting his head to look at me with half open eyes. "I'm up Yuki."

I grinned, sitting back down as he faced the front again.

"Sakua-chan!" Naruto grinned, standing up to wave at the pink haired girl. She ignored him, like usual. I could see the hurt on his face, but he covered it up with a grin and sat back down.

The door slid open and the chatter quieted down as Iruka walked in with a clip board in his hand. "Hello class," He greeted with a smile. "Today's the graduation test, and we'll be testing you on the clone jutsu."

My eyes widened as I looked over at Naruto beside me. His eyes were wide too and he was pulling at his hair. He slammed his head on the desk, earning a few looks from other students as he groaned.

Iruka didn't pay any attention to Naruto, who was having a mental break down, and called out the first student for the test, which happened to be me.

Hearing my name, Naruto looked back up form the desk and grinned. "Good luck Yuki-chan!"

I gave him a sympathetic smile as I stood up. "Thank's Naruto-kun. Good luck to you too, I know you'll pass!"

He grinned, more enthusiastically, "Yeah! Dattebayo!"

Following Iruka to the testing room, I waited until he was seated and gave me my instructions. "Okay Yuki, all you have to do is make three clones and you pass."

I nodded and performed the needed handsigns. "Clone jutsu." I said. With a puff of smoke, three clones appeared, all seeming to be perfect images.

I grinned and looked at Iruka and Mizuki. Iruka smiled at me proudly, "Good job Yuki, you pass. Please pick up a headband."

Releasing the clone jutsu, I walked over to the table filled with Konoha headbands. Picking up one I bowed to Iruka. "Thank you for everything, Iruka sensei." Looking at Mizuki I stared at him before turning around and left. I didn't know him very well, but something about him was just weird.

I have been waiting outside for Naruto for a while now. Most of my classmates had already taken their exam and passed and were now outside. Their families had shown up to congratulate them, which left me alone on the side lines waiting for Naruto. Sasuke had already taken his test, and unlike me he had just left. Though I didn't blame him, since he didn't have anyone either.

I leaned against the academy walls, waiting quietly for Naruto to come out. After all, someone had to be there for Naruto when he received his headband. However, the sharp burning had returned in my chest. Wincing, I covered my mouth as I coughed. Warm liquid clattered onto my hand, painting it crimson. My shoulders sagged in disappointment, I wasn't going to be able to stay after all. Clenching my hand shut, I pushed myself off the wall and tried to make my way around the crowd.

Just barley making it out of the crowd, I had run into another ninja. Stumbling backwards, I threw my hands out to catch myself as I fell to the ground. Looking up shocked the first thing I noticed was the silver gravity defining hair. Only one feature of his face was uncovered by his mask and headband. His eye blinked as he put the orange worn out book away as he noticed me on the ground.

He must have seen some traces of blood on the corners of my mouth as he seemed slightly worried. "Are you okay?" He asked.

I nodded quickly, trying to stop any oncoming coughs. "Y-Yeah! I'm fine...." I paused, waiting for his name.

"Oh, Kakashi what's your name?" He held a hand to help me up. Using my clean hand, I took his getting up off the ground.

"Yuki, Yuki Okami, I'm sorry for running into you Kakashi, please excuse me." I ran past him, not wanting to cause a scene.

The Okami compound wasn't exactly close, and I didn't want to have to run by the hospital in order to get some medication.

Running to my bathroom, I lunged for my bottle. Taking out a pill I spat out some remaining blood before placing the pill in my mouth. With some water I gulped down the crimson pill.

"I need to start remembering to take this..." I muttered to myself, waiting a moment for the pain to subside.

After I decided that I was going to stay home, I made myself some ramen, adding in the boiling water and letting it set for three minutes.

I grabbed a piece of pocky, then grabbed some chop sticks. After it was ready I slowly ate it, trying to force myself to eat something today otherwise, I will just get worse.

Tomorrow we get put into teams. I hope I get in the same team as Naruto, but I don't want to be in the same team as Ino or Sakura. After all, I didn't get along with Sakura for the same reason I didn't get along with Ino.

And I definitely do not want to be in the same team as that arrogant jerk, Sasuke. I wouldn't mind Hinata, although, she's very quiet and turns red when Naruto is around. Kiba, I wouldn't mind either, only he smells funny. However, I love Akarmaru. He's adorable. Overall, Akamaru would be the only good thing coming from Kiba. Shikamaru is intelligent, but too lazy. I don't know if I would be able to trust my back with him. He would probably fall asleep when needed. Shino.... he's just creepy. I don't think I've really even heard anything from him. I've probably heard more from Sasuke than Shino now that I think about it. Choji wouldn't be bad. I've never had any conflict with him and he seems like a reliable team mate.

I finished my food then proceeded to put it in the sink and prepared for bed. "I'll take a break from training today," I yawned as I curled up in my warm bed.

A six year old me panted, but smiled at my mother. "That was good Yuki. Now, let's work on your crystal type."

Making the needed handsigns, I yelled, "Crystal release: Crimson fruit!" A barrier formed around me taking the shape of a dome made of pink crystal.

My mother then proceeded to lunged at it trying to break it. Nothing seemed to work, even this really cool-looking jutsu she did called the "Rasengan". Smiling, my mother told me, "Good job, it seems you mastered it. Now, let's try something else, okay?" I nodded again releasing the jutsu.

That was when I felt a sharp pain in my chest. I fell to my knees coughing, along with shaking from fear, this had never happened before. My mother walked towards me confused. She didn't start running until she saw a flash of red run down my mouth and I collapsed.
