They climbed out of the chamber using a ladder. With Steph now looking like herself, Rosanna agreed to take them to the throne room, where the king would have to be. But as soon as they left the chamber, they heard a shout behind them. 

"Traitor!" They turned around. There was a man behind them, fully decked out in armor. They couldn't see his face for his mask, but they knew he was a threat. Clearly, Rosanna recognized him anyway.

"General Austin." She said with a sly grin. 

Wait, Austin as in "The Science!" Austin? That guy? Steph came forward a bit to see better. 

"Lady Pansino, what is the meaning of this? Bringing people into the castle like this? And is that Nathan Sharp? The king would have had him executed if he could!" 

"General, I apologize, but you know very well that King Mark must be overthrown." Rosanna said. 

"And I agree. But until that day comes, I must remain loyal to the king." Austin drew his sword. "I respect you, Rosanna. And you, Prince Jack. Even you, Nathan. You might have what it takes to defeat the king, but it is my duty to protect him, and protect him I will."

"Why? Beause he is holding your baby hostage?" Rosanna asked sarcastically, but with a bit of venom in her voice. 

Austin finally raised his helmet. "I will save my child. And if you get past me, I beg you; kill King Mark."

Rosanna nodded. She would. Steph was shuddering. She really did not want to have to kill Austin. But they would have to in this case. She just had to hope that he would be able to come back when she freed everyone. So she stepped forward and allowed the glow to appear from her hands. Both Austin and Jason seemed a bit taken aback, but they both fell into a defensive stance, ready to fight. 

Almost instantly, Austin rushed forward and attempted to stab Rosanna. Jack pushed her out of the way and bocked Austin's blade with his own. As they struggled against each other's weight, Nate attempted to get around behind him. Austin noticed immedietly and gave Jack a kick that sent him to the ground, before quickly turning around and blocking Nate's blades, and knocking them out of his hands. He swung the sword up to attack Nate again, but his blade stopped in midair. Steph was holding hs arms in place, which gave Nate enough time to get out of the way and pick up his blades again.

Austin's attention turned back to Steph, who shot a ball of light at him. Austin easily deflected it, bt Steph was relentless. Even though he avoided every ball, it still slowed him down enough for Jack and Nate to attack him from both sides. Austin grunted in pain. He spun around and managed to strike both Jack and Nate. Jason ran over to them both and quickly healed them.

With Austin turned back to the three men, Jason put up a sheild of light around them, which Austin tried to attack, but his wepon bounced off. From behind him, Steph was charging up a much larger attack in her hands. The glow was so bright that it caught Austin's attention again. He turned back to her, giving the men their chance. Jason brought down the sheild, and all at once, Jack stabbed him through the heart. 

Austin stood for a second, reaching out to nothing, before falling to the ground. He couldn't speak, but he could still see. He looked directly at Steph. He tried to say something, but couldn't. He recognized her. He recognized all of them. 

"We will save your child." Rosanna said. Austin's eyes went wide with fear. He didn't know his baby was in the game, too. Obviously, his child was not, but it was enough to terrify Austin. And then he disapeared.
