The week that Siva went back to school was also the same week that the trial for Tori was set to take place. They pushed to move up the time as quickly as possible seeing as this was a trial for the attempted murder of a minor. They were able to try her as an adult seeing as her own parents gave the department permission to do so as her eighteenth birthday was only two years away. Siva went to the trial in order to hear Tori's testimony. He just wanted to know what she was thinking when she assaulted him. He wanted some closure. 

Tori's own lawyer did not believe that he could get her a not guilty verdict so instead tried to plead insanity, because it was clear that Tori was not of sound mind. Her testimony consisted of ramblings on how she was only making out with her boyfriend and had hit him because he was cheating on her and how she had to hit him in order for him to realize that she was the one he was meant to be dating. 

Siva was curled into Moose, who had an arm around his waist and a hand in Siva's hair, while Beck had a hand on Siva's thigh while leaning on Moose's shoulder that Siva was hiding under. His oxygen tank was on the floor in front of him with his medical grade mask securely around his mouth and nose. Vishnu was laying on top of Siva's feet, looking up at his owner every once in a while to check that everything was alright with him.

The displays of affection between the three boyfriends captured the eyes of everyone in the room. It was clear that the victim had been in a relationship a long time with the two men surrounding him. It was clear that the woman was making everything up and was lying through her teeth. No one believed her anymore. Not the jury, not the judge, not the lawyer, not the witnesses, and certainly not the news reporters in the room that had a camera on the adorable throuple and a camera on the lying sexual assaulter. 

The most damning evidence was when the prosecutor showed the courtroom the surveillance video in the theatre and Tori screaming and yelling as she was being dragged away by the police that he deserved it and that she had to show him that he was with her. The testament of the doctor that treated Siva throughout his stay in the ICU and hospital was the icing on the cake. He described in detail the injuries that Siva had sustained and what he would have to deal with for the rest of his life. The seizures, the dizziness, fainting, headaches, body weakness, anxiety, light and sound sensitivity, and insomnia and how all of his symptoms would affect his career as a dancer. He concluded that the only reason why Siva had not been sent into a coma was because the cane was luckily wood and not metal or it would have caused even more damage, possibly even leading to Siva's death. When Moose and Beck heard what the doctor said, they squeezed Siva even tighter, fierce looks on their faces as they glared at Tori, looking terrifying even with the tears in their eyes. The doctor then went on to say that Siva would probably always need oxygen at night and a specialized inhaler during the day. He concluded his testimony by saying that what that girl did  was irreversible and that she had essentially ruined the very bright future of an extremely talented young man.

While the jury was deliberating, Trina and her parents walked over to the throuple. Beck was the first to notice them, and glared, eyes saying that they would regret it if something they said upset Siva. 

Tori's mom spoke up, "Siva, can we talk for a second?"

Siva peeked out of Moose's side, his large hazel eyes blinking up at them innocently.

"Da?"

"We just wanted to apologize for what Tori has done to you. We had no idea that she was hiding her true personality from us. Trina changed so much when Tori was born, that we thought her personality change was just from having to share her parents, not that she was being suppressed by her own sister. I understand if you can't forgive us, just know that we are truly sorry that this happened without us realizing it."

Siva listened intently to the couple as they spoke. After they were done, he slowly pushed himself out of Moose's hold and using Moose as a support, stood up and slowly embraced the couple.

"It is alright. Not your fault. You are nice," Siva whispered as they slowly hugged him back. 

He then turned to Trina and hugged her as well.

"Don't hide yourself, okay? When you return to your normal self, you come and hang out with us."

Trina nodded and the shocked family made their way back over to their seats. Siva carefully sat back down between his boyfriends and smiled up at them when they give him confused looks. He patted their chests to tell them that everything was fine.

The jury came back after only two hours of deliberation.

Not guilty by reason of insanity.
