I found one of my old stories and I'm shook

It's not one of my OLDEST but it's significant to me because it's where one of my significant OC ships came from and basically where Nathen got his personality XD

My gosh, it's based in the ORIGINAL version of my original story, which was basically a MCSM fanfic from the perspective of OCs. Yes, that's how I started writing... save me from my past self.

But like, wow. I looked back and read what still existed and it's bad but not like REALLY bad?? Everyone just had the same speech pattern which bothered me XD And RIP spelling but that's because all of this story was written offline so there as no spell check to save my sorry butt XD also the concept itself was cliche (basically a self-insert kill me now) and it was poorly executed but yknow it's fine

I'm really sad I lost... probably around 3/4 of this story, even if it was super cringy. I created the Google Doc a couple hours before a catastrophe when I didn't have WiFi for an entire WEEK so this was basically all I did in that time was write this? And when I connected to WiFi again Google Docs couldn't save all the new changes so it told me to copy everything and place it in a new Doc or something. My computer was dying and super slow so I did control+A to copy all and closed the Doc, deleting the changes, and when I pasted my text it coped the TOOLBAR, not the actual text, and only some of the story. So I lost a lot of cringy story but the origins of a ship I still have today with my OCs :/

Yknow, the story I have now is 12000 words and 45 pages (although somehow I have a version saved with only 23 pages?) Either way I'm impressed with myself. And I lost most of the story? So like, holy heck where did that motivation to write so much go?

Yoooooo in this Nathen (basically the only character of line that still survives from this XD) used to do potions, not like legit magic? That's a weird concept that I don't think ever made it past this story tbh XD This was Minecraft-based story, so I was trying to keep the limitations of magic within that world's logic... funnily enough I think that's the opposite for my REAL original world? Potions there are uncommon because they're very complex while lawless magic is part of daily life.
