Another Minecraft thing (it's all I'm really able to do rn without having my normal setup and being low on brain power)

So I'd been mining for a good 2.5 hours looking for diamonds and not finding any. This world I think was affected by that bug that decreased diamond spawn rates and I explored quite a bit of new chunks not knowing about the bug.

My mom called me to help load the van with suitcases and such, and my brother asked if he could mine for me. I told him sure and gave him a few instructions on what to take and not take, as my inventory was full.

While I was packing he comes out and excitedly holds up nine fingers, telling me he had found nine diamonds.

When I finish doing chores, he tells me he had found 17 diamonds

But fell into lava and lost everything.

Not only did I lose 17 diamonds when I'm already struggling for them, but I also lost a stack of logs, several stacks of greatly needed cobblestone (and I'm on my last two stacks from building), nearly a stack of iron, a stack and a half of lapis, a golden apple from a dungeon I found, all my tools, and 23 levels.

I wouldn't be so mad about this is if I were able to get my stuff back, but because he was an idiot and wasn't watching where he was mining he fell into a 1 block pool of lava that he uncovered and lost a lot of much-needed supplies.

Dammit Noah! 😡

And now there's a thunderstorm outside and the warnings are enough for me to have had to turn off my computer, so now I'm stuck ranting about this instead of cooling off and doing something different that I wanted to do. Draw digitally since I have several sketches I wanted to try, write, play a different game...

Sorry for this weird rant. I'm just brooding. Maybe I'll reread the Summoner trilogy again...
