Chapter 57

Jimin smiled at Yumei. "Yes, he is fine. He just needs help with something."

Yumei's eyes widened in interest, "Help with what? Can I help?"

Jimin bit his lip. "No, love."

He walked to her bedside and placed a kiss on the top of her head. He took the tray from her lap. "This has something to do with your father's business."

Yumei's shoulders shagged, again something she wasn't allowed to know anything about. "Can I go outside then?"

Jimin smiled at her. "Sure, I will help you down."

He exited her room, Yumei let out a sigh and looked at her drawer. The book that Majima bought her was still laying there.

That was a welcoming distraction from her thoughts who battled back towards Namjoon and the letter that she wrote him.

What did he think? Did he think it was childish? Her door opened once more and Riyu stood there. "Good Morning, love."

"Good morning, mom."

Riyu closed the door behind her and walked to her bed and sit down. "I want to say that I am sorry that I haven't been there when you got home."

Yumei didn't know how to answer and Riyu continued. "I didn't forget your father and I had an intense conversation."

So her father was home at the time she got here and he just didn't care? Riyu reached out towards her and enveloped her in a hug. "I know you wanted us to come and pick you up and we have disappointed you but I promise things would get better."

Yumei's arms were stiff against her sides. Riyu's words felt empty to her, and she couldn't help to think that she didn't mean anything that she had said.

Riyu pulled back and smiled at her. "Why don't I help you to get dressed and then I will make you some breakfast."

"I already had breakfast." Yumei's voice squeaked a little.

"Oh? I guess Jimin was up early."

Yumei noticed the poison in her words but she let it slide. "You can help me to get dressed."

"Of course, love." Riyu stood up from her bed and opened her closet. "Do you want to wear a dress?"

Yumei hated dresses the only times she wore them was when her father had important friends coming over. "I want to wear a t-shirt and jeans."

Riyu turned around. "Honey you will never get a boy to like you if you keep wearing those dreaded clothes."

Yumei shrunk into her pillows, her mother always dressed her in clothes that she thought that she should wear. How was she going to get a boy to like her when she never went anywhere? "But we aren't going anywhere and I like being comfortable."

She swore she could she anger flash over her mother's face but it was gone in an instant. "You are right."

Riyu picked a shirt and a pair of jeans and helped Yumei out of bed. She helped her to get dressed and Yumei sat on the bed when a knock came on the door.

Riyu opened it and her face fell, it was Majima another man that she didn't like at all. In her opinion, he knew too much about what was going on. "Yes?"

Majima smiled. "I have come to take Yumei to the garden."

Yumei's face brightened at the sound of his voice. "Jima!"

Riyu stood back as he entered, "Are you ready?"

Riyu left the room quietly, 'Only a few more weeks.'

Majima stopped before Yumei. "Jimin is busy so I said I will take you."

Yumei lifted her arms out to him, "Jima, you are too good to me."

He picked her up. "Anything you want to take to the garden?"

She placed her left arm around his neck so that she wouldn't fall. "The book you bought me."

He nodded at her and picked up her book from the table. "Mei-mei, you are the one who is too good to me."

He carried her out of the room and down the steps to the garden. Yumei smiled as they entered the garden, a table was already in the shade with a comfortable chair. A small leg stool so that she could place her leg on it, her crutches were resting next to it.

"Did you do this?"

Majima sat her down in the chair and placed her leg gently on the stool. "It was Jimmi's idea."

Yumei smiled and he handed her book to her. "Enjoy your reading, fairy."

"Thank you, Jima." She opened her book and leaned back into the chair. Majima turned his back in her and walked back to the mansion.

He was getting agitated, Jimin had asked him to do this for him because he had business to attend. He licked his lips.

How were Jimin and Yoongi planning to get her to Namjoon if they couldn't even talk to each other? Mr Kazuma would kill him if he got her a cell-

He jogged to the garage, there was still a lot of time before Mr Kazuma needed him or that he would have to fetch Yoon from the university.

Jimin had placed the tray in the kitchen sink and stepped outside. It was dangerous to talk inside the house.

The walls have ears and no one knew that he had someone on the inside of the Kim family. This was going to be difficult to do, but he promised Yoongi that he would do this for him.

He had proved himself over and over, that he was on their side. Yoongi was their family now and he wanted to help him and his girl...

He looked at the time, would he be in class? He walked deeper into the garden where no one would be able to see him.

He swiped at his phone to bring up the contact list and scrolled down a number. It was now or never, he pressed the dial button. The phone rang for a few seconds.

"Brother?"

Jimin let out a sigh of relief. "I am sorry that I am calling out of the blue."

"You know you can call me anytime, I will pick up."

Jimin bit his lip, it was great to hear his brother's voice again. "I know but what if you cant?"

"I always make a plan, so why are you calking?"

Jimin didn't know how to bring this up but... "I got a phone call from Yoongi and he claims that Jin kidnapped a family-"

"Yes, he did."

That was a quick answer. "We have to get them out."

There was a sigh on the other side, "That would be difficult, I am still playing the spy as you are."

"But..."

"Jimin look... All I can tell you is that they are safe."

Jimin closed his eyes, that was good news but that wasn't going to stop Yoongi from saving them.

"Are they still being held?"

"Yes, but I was going to release them tomorrow. The girl had fulfilled her end of the deal."

"What was her deal?"

There was a long pause. "I thought you already knew because you asked."

Jimin clutched his phone tighter, "I want to hear you tell me."

"You think that I have come to enjoy this?"

"You tell me..."

"Jimin, I do not enjoy this. I have a role to fill but if you must know."

Jimin dreaded the truth, but he had to hear it from his brother's lips. "I want to."

"Fine, do you know the girl?"

"He said her name was Unmei."

"Alright, are you somewhere that no one would ever hear you?"

"Yes, I am far away from the estate."

There was a long pause on the other side, "Jimin... I have to go."

Jimin gritted his teeth, "Hoseok..." His voice was only a whisper.

"I promise..."

The line went dead and Jimin's arm fell to his side and he gazed down to his phone. They couldn't talk, there was always the fear of getting discovered but at least he could tell Yoongi that Unmei's family was safe.

He turned his gaze from his phone to the estate, one day this would all be his but at what cost? If Hoseok took over the Kim family would they still be enemies?

He shouldn't think like that, blood was thicker than water. Their mother had taught them the art of deception and Mr Kazuma didn't know but she was a housemaid here before she joined their father.

Hoseok had gone with their father to the Kim family to infiltrated them and it didn't end well and here they both were. So deep in the family affairs that neither side would see it coming.

But as he and Yumei grew older, Mr Kazuma had come to realise that Yumei would never be able to run the family.

So he had made him his prodigy, so he didn't have to plan a big blindside it just fell into his lap. So he had started journaling some events so that he wouldn't forget things he saw that he wasn't supposed too.

Like Riyu... They should be careful around her, he slowly walked back to the estate. Hoseok said that Unmei fulfilled her end, was that the breaking of Yumei's leg?

He raked his fingers through his hair, Hoseok was playing his role too well and it frightened him. He never met Yumei to see the good she was, so he wondered if his vision changed?

He took the route to the garden and paused at the small arch. Yumei was sitting quietly and read her book. It amazed him that she could just be drawn into another world.

He should leave her alone for now and message Yoongi what he had learned about Unmei's parents.

His phone vibrated, he looked down it was from Majima.

"I know you and Yoon have your own plans but I want to get Yumei a cellphone."

He let out a sigh, everyone wanted to help in their own way but it was getting ridicules. He replied.

"That is not a good idea."

Majima's reply came instantly.

"I think it is time, you will see everything will work out."
