Unforgettable Love

Ash had just arrived at the hospital. He was still heartbroken that he wasn't able to protect Serena from getting hurt.

When Ash opened the door, he saw Serena talking quietly to her mother. Serena looked towards Ash. He was the only person she could remember completely. No smile appeared on her face though.

Ash had a mixed expression on his face. His expression was a mix of despair, sadness, and extreme relief. He immediately goes to sit next to Serena.

Ash grabs Serena's hand, the one that isn't cast and stares into his girlfriend's eyes. He noticed something different about her eyes.

The joy, which she usually held there, was gone. There was only fear and despair. Was his Serena still actually there?

"Serena, what's wrong?" Ash asked, with a worried look in his eyes.

"Ash...Where were you..." Serena asked silently, as a tear rolls down her face.

"Serena....I...I had no clue you were in trouble...If I could, I would've stopped this.." Ash replied slowly and sadly.

"Ash....it was horrible...I wanted to die...It's all I wanted to do... The pain was unbearable..." Serena said, as her body started to shake in fear.

Ash looks over to see tears, silently coming from Grace's eyes. Grace then gets up and walks out of the room. Ash turns his attention back to his traumatized girlfriend.

There were tears coming quickly down Serena's face. She was emotionless. All you could hear were the silent sobs.

Shortly, she starts screaming, as more tears form in her eyes. "Ash! Make it stop! Please! Make it stop!"

Ash quickly tightens his grip on her hand, and then, he gives her a hug, while trying to comfort her. He couldn't stand it. He hated that Serena was hurt like this.

"Serena! Calm down! You're safe now!" Ash shouted, as his heart started to shatter even more.

Ash's heart was already broken. Seeing the love of his life acting like this, completely shattered it. Depression had started taking over his broken and fragile heart and mind.

She stopped screaming, a few seconds later, and tightens her grip a lot on Ash's hand. Tears were still falling from her eyes.

"Ash....save me...He's hurting me...." Serena said quietly.

"Serena...please...no one is hurting you...Let's just talk about something else ok? Ash asked as a tear started to roll down his face.

"Oh...okay...Let's please do that... Ash...." Serena stated while drying her tears and peacefully staring at her boyfriend.

Everything was peaceful about her, except her eyes. They were a complete dead giveaway that she wasn't ok.

Ash was still wondering if his Serena was actually still in there. She was physically, but mentally, no one would think so.

The biggest giveaway ever, was again, her eyes. There was no joy, or happiness, or love...well there was a tiny bit of that. But other than that tiny amount of love in her eyes, they were full of sorrow, pain, suffering, fear, and despair...

After a little bit of talking, Serena was starting to feel comfortable. She hasn't smiled the entire time that Ash was visiting, but she was finally becoming comfortable with talking to her loved one.

Eventually, it came the time that Ash had to leave. It was 6:30, and Ash only got 45 minutes to see his love.

Ash didn't want to leave. He never wanted to leave; but unfortunately, he didn't have much of a choice.

It was a very hard thing to do. When he said he had to leave, Serena started crying again. She didn't want the one person, who she completely remembers, to leave her.

Serena hadn't even told anyone about the fact that she lost most of her memories, so no one, except for Serena, knew.

Before Ash left, he calmed Serena down and stopped her crying. It was painful. It was one of the most painful things for Ash to experience.

When Ash got home, he went back to his room and cried. Again, he cried. This time, he didn't stop. Only once, when he cried himself to sleep, he finally stopped.

He knew something was off. When he figures out what it is, it would almost send him over the edge...
