Serena was walking home with Ash. It's been three months since Serena broke up with Calem. In the following months after the breakup, she started to fear and hate Calem.

During those three months; however, Serena began to notice Calem watching her, as she walked. Most of the time, when she was with Ash, she quickly walked over to the other side of Ash and tried to hide. Serena was afraid that Calem might be planning to do something very bad towards her when she was all alone, without her best friend being there, to protect her from his wrath.

Ok....so Calem has pretty much been stalking me. As for Ash....well he's acting a little bit weird today. I wonder why though? Serena thought.

Ash and Serena were heading to Ash's house to hang out and possibly do some homework like they usually do.

Ash was having many things go through his mind. He had a crush on Serena ever since the day he met her.

When Serena was the new student, during the middle of the first quarter in the 8th grade, Ash quickly became her best friend. After only about 1 month of being close friends, Ash developed a crush on Serena. He was a little heartbroken when Serena went out with Calem; but after what he planned to do to her, Ash wanted Serena to be loved by someone, who is very special to her.

Thanks to some support and encouragement from his online and real-world friends, Ash had finally gathered up enough courage to ask her out. He planned to confess his feeling to her later.

He knew he was acting strangely around Serena that day. He had hoped she wouldn't notice, but she did.

"Ash? Is something the matter?" Serena asks curiously.

"Oh. No Serena! Everything is perfectly fine!" Ash answered.

"Whatever you say... Just so you know, you can tell me anything, right?" Serena added with a worried tone.

"Yes, Serena. I know...." Ash responded timidly.

Over the last three months, Serena realized that she had developed a massive crush on Ash. In fact, Ash was the only one who reached out and comforted her with a hug immediately after she broke up with Calem and rushed out of the cafeteria crying. She felt really nervous about telling Ash this because she was worried about how he would react to her developing feelings for her best friend. Serena knew that Ash was an honest man, unlike that sick bastard and monster known as Calem.

When they arrived at Ash's house, Ash grabbed a snack and they went up to his room.

Ash's room was quite simple. His walls were plain white. He had a bed with a blue blanket covering over it. There was a TV with an Xbox. There was a bedside table and a bookshelf in front of the window.

After they were finished with their homework, Ash had one thing going through his head. And one thing only. How the hell was he going to confess his feelings?!

He has been thinking about it all day. He had definitely fallen head over heels for Serena, very hard. He wanted to tell her in a way that's subtle, yet gets his point across.

He was holding a flower in his hand. When Ash went outside to obtain something for the science project they were working on, he picked up the flower before going back inside. Right now, he was glazing upon the white flower in his hand, while looking away from Serena.

Serena had been staring at Ash for a while now, wondering what he was doing.

"I'm ready..." Ash said quietly hoping that Serena wouldn't hear him. Unfortunately for the young man, she did hear him.

Before Serena could open her mouth, Ash walked over to her and placed the flower in her hand. He looked into her eyes and she looked back into his.

Ash took a deep breath, and with confidence building up in his heart, started to let out every word that he had always wanted to say to Serena, his very special friend, for a long time.

"Serena, I just have to say that you are beautiful and that I like you a lot more than just best friends. When I first met you, you were the new girl and we quickly became friends. Only one month later, I realized that I had a crush on you."

As Serena was listening, a little smile appeared on her face. But what he would say next, would completely surprise her.

"You are perfect. The blue eyes, blonde hair, and even your personality is what I desired in my perfect girl. So what I'm basically saying is, Serena, I love you. Will you be my girlfriend?"

Serena stared at her best friend, for just one single second, before realizing what he had just told her. Her little smile became a big one. She hadn't smiled like that since before Calem. The wound in her heart, from breaking up with Calem, has finally been healed. Instead of a black hole, there's now light, peace, joy, and happiness. Just as these emotions were flowing throughout her body, her answer to Ash's question would change their lives forever. She jumped into Ash, hugging him tightly.

"Yes! Of course, Ash! I would love to be your girlfriend!" Serena shouts with extreme excitement.

Ash returned Serena's hug and smiled brightly. At last, he has finally done what he wanted to do for two years, confessed his love to the girl that he loved. Truly, the two sophomores were destined for each other.
