It was date night. I was on a date with the boy, who I thought I loved... His name? Well, his name was what I grew to hate and fear over time. His name was Calem.

He's the average height for a sophomore. 5 foot 6 inches. He was 16, one year older than me. He was also the most popular boy at school. He seemed, and I mean really seemed, like a good guy under everything... I mean, he was strong and every girl fell for him. Almost all the guys wanted to be him. But underneath all his everything..... stood something sinister in my opinion.

Serena and Calem were walking through a large park. He was holding her hand, but quickly let go and looked at her weirdly.

"Calem? Is there something wrong?" Serena asked with a voice of concern.

"Oh no. Not at all, Serena!" He said a little sarcastically.

"Well then, why'd you let go of my hand?" Serena questioned the action of her boyfriend.

"Because I want to ask you a few questions," Calem answered.

"About?"

"Well one, that boy, Ash, do you like him?" Calem asked Serena.

"Yes Calem, but only as a friend," Serena answered.

"Ok. Well then, you need to stay away from him. He could break us apart." Calem commanded Serena, which caused her to have a shocked expression across her face.

"No! He's my best friend! You can't do that!" Serena yelled.

"Ok. I'm sorry. C'mon." Calem responded, as he grabbed Serena's wrist and pulled her along the sidewalk a little forcefully.

"Calem stop! Just ask me your questions. Please." Serena said

With that, Calem sat and pulled her down next to him. However, he wasn't looking at her face.

"Uh, Calem? My face is up here." Serena informed her boyfriend.

"Oh... I know! I just saw a mosquito is all!" Calem lied.

Serena was starting to get a little suspicious. She couldn't see any mosquitoes at all; however, she let it slide.

"Well, do you notice anything that Ash does around you?" Calem questioned Serena about her best friend.

"Like what Calem?" Serena asked with a confused look on her face.

"Anything strange."

"No.... why are you asking me this though?" Serena questioned her boyfriend's strange behavior.

"It's nothing, Serena. Ok next question, what would you do for me?" Calem asked.

"Well...." Serena began to say her answer but was quickly interrupted by her boyfriend.

"Actually, I already know the answer to that one."

Serena did not know how he could have known her answer. In fact, she didn't even have the answer in her head. That's when she knew that something was up.

"Ok next, what is Ash to you?" Calem repeated his first question but worded it differently.

"What?"

"What does Ash mean to you?" Calem restated the question to his confused girlfriend.

"He's my best friend! I already told you that!" Serena stated, with a tone of annoyance in her voice.

"And the last question.... are you a virgin?" Calem asked with an evil smirk across his face.

"Excuse me?!" Serena shouted.

A few people turn towards the couple. Calem then pulls her off the bench and into an empty restaurant.

"I asked if you were a virgin," Calem asked his question to an already offended Serena.

"And why do you possibly think that's any of your business, Calem!" Serena stated with an angry expression.

"Well, I am your boyfriend. So I deserve to know." Calem stated with an authoritative tone in his voice.

"Well, I don't think so!" Serena said.

Just then, another girl comes in. She walks over to Calem and pinches him.

"Calem? Who's that?" She asked Calem.

"Oh....well you see..."

"Calem.....you better not be..." Serena whimper.

"This is my actual.....girlfriend...." Calem said.

At that point, her heart was shattered like a glass window breaking after a baseball crashes into it. She felt like nothing existed where her heart was. Nothing, but a black hole of pain and sorrow.

Her eyes began to fill with a few tears. He looks at Serena, with an evil glare in his eyes.

"I said, she's my girlfriend...." Calem repeated his words, which only made Serena more upset.

"And?! Why am I not!? You cheated on me Calem!!! I thought...." Serena shouted at Calem, with anger and frustration being expressed through her voice.

"Serena....you're just not pretty enough for me...I only did this just to make you feel good about yourself!" Calem responded while causing Serena to become angrier and more upset towards him.

"I-I'm not pretty enough for you?!?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M NOT PRETTY ENOUGH FOR YOU?!?!?!?!" Serena exclaimed at the top of her lungs.

"Well because..." Calem was about to answer before he was interrupted by Serena.

"Why would you even think about dating me, if all you were going to say is that I'm not pretty enough for you?!?!"

He glares at Serena with interest and started to look up and down at her body.

"I mean that body, Serena... It's pretty good." Calem answered with a sinister look on his face.

"Excuse me? Wh....." Serena replied, but getting interrupted by her creepy backstabbing boyfriend.

"I mean, I thought about dating you because of your body... However, that has changed." Calem said with a creepy tone of voice.

"What do you mean?" Serena asked with a worried expression on her face.

"You see, the only thing I really wanted to do.... was to make you my own personal slave. To only have sex with you." Calem answered with a menacing voice.

"Wh-what.... no... you lied to everyone..." Serena shuttered and tears began rolling down from her eyes.

Calem quickly reached down and grabbed her wrist. Serena attempted to get loose, but he wouldn't let her go.

"And if you refuse...." Calem started to threaten Serena, but she quickly got up and pulled her wrist away. This time, he let go. Serena started walking backward slowly. Calem follows her pace. She knew there was a wall behind me.

I couldn't believe what I just heard. Literally, all he wanted to do with me was to have sex! I couldn't believe it! I fell for his trick!

"Serena....if you refuse, then I'll have to hurt you, darling...." Calem threatened the scared blonde girl.

"You're a monster, Calem..." Serena responded with resentment in her voice.

"I'm the monster? Ok got it!" Calem responded as he started to run at Serena.

She quickly turned and ran past tables. He followed her. Serena almost ran out the door; however, Calem grabbed hold of her skirt.

He stopped her from moving and grabbed her wrist, while forcefully pulling Serena towards him.

"Calem! Let me go!!" She shouted, but she knew Calem wouldn't listen. There was no one around to hear her cry for help.

Serena was scared.... afraid that she will be forced to do the thing with Calem...She didn't want to.

Serena forcefully broke away from him and ran like her life depended on it, which it did. She kept on running. Serena was hoping to get out of the park. Luckily, she made it and the man, running behind her, stopped.

However, she didn't stop. Serena continues running away from Calem. Thoughts of what she might've had to do played through her head. She knew exactly what it needs to be done the next day at school.

She ran inside her home. Before her parents, Grace and Sycamore could ask how her date went, Serena had already gone up to her room and slammed the door.

It was time for school. Serena wasn't about to let other girls fall for Calem trap. She was lucky to escape last night.

Serena was walking down the hall with a few of her friends to the cafeteria, for the morning news and breakfast. In her group of friends, there was Ash, her best friend. When Serena first arrived at the school, Ash was the first friend she made at her new school. Serena trusted Ash for everything and knew that he would support her decisions. She had told him what happened last night and he was furious.

Serena walked into the cafeteria and noticed Calem. He immediately smiled evilly and walked up towards her.

He put his mouth to her ear and whispered, "Remember Serena, I will hurt you."

Those words sent shivers down her spine, but she couldn't show that she was scared, even though she was so deathly scared.

Calem tried grabbing my hand, but she pulled away and tripped him.

"Serena... I'm warning you..." he whispered, in a threatening tone in his voice.

"I'm tired of this nice guy act, Calem!! I'm done with you!"

The entire cafeteria went silent. She turned towards Calem and let's just say that she left a big red handprint on his cheek.

"I didn't do anything, you bastard! We are through! I didn't get to break up with you last night because I was running from you! But now, I have my friends!"

"Serena..."

"Don't say anything, Calem! We are through!! Now leave me alone!!"

Some people in the cafeteria started laughing at Calem. Soon, the entire cafeteria erupted in laughter.

Serena went out of the cafeteria and started crying. Although she managed to stand up to Calem, she was still very upset. She began to wonder if she was truly alone in this cruel and dark world. However, there was one person, who has always been supportive and looking out for her...That person was Ash...

It was at that moment she realized... She had feelings for him...and they were not friendly feelings either...

Something which she never felt with Calem. Something magical... Serena had to get them out eventually, but she was afraid that Ash was secretly like Calem.
