It was time for Ash and Serena's first date! Ash had planned it; however, he had a bit of a hard time figuring it out.

The plan was to head to a park, then go off to Chili's to eat, which was Serena's favorite restaurant, and finally, go see a movie that Serena really wanted to see for a while.

Unfortunately, the weather had been on and off rain, so the park was canceled from the date. However, they still knew that they were going to have fun on their date.

Ash was currently waiting outside for Serena. It was around 75 degrees out and it was supposed to get down to around 72 degrees.

Ash was wearing a blue shirt with a black sweatshirt and some jeans.

He was reading a book on his phone. while he was waiting. He was reading it from a website called Wattpad, where users can read other people's stories and write their own. Ash likes to write Pokémon fan fiction on there.

The book, that he was reading from his phone, was called Destiny Rebirth, which was a remake of another Pokémon fanfiction, on FanFiction.net, called Battles of the Past. Although he only read a few chapters of it, he found the remake to be more interesting than the original.

As he waits for Serena, Ash was feeling both extremely excited and nervous. He was afraid that he would mess up something. After all, this is Ash's first relationship. He doesn't want the first date to go wrong. He really loves Serena and hopes that he'll be able to pull off this date, without something going wrong.

After a few minutes, Serena finally came out of her house. She was wearing a pink shirt with a white denim jacket and a long black skirt.

Asa put his phone down and was gazing upon Serena's appearance and beauty, as she walked towards him. However, her beauty caused Ash to be deep in his thoughts.

Serena was waving her hand in front of Ash's face, while also slightly laughing.

"Ash? You there?" Serena asked as Ash finally breaks out of his thoughts.

He looked at a giggling Serena. He was extremely embarrassed.

"So. How do I look, Ash?" Serena asked while spinning around, showing off her outfit to her new boyfriend, who had a smile across his face.

"Oh. You.....you look beautiful!" Ash responded with happiness in his voice.

"Aw. Thanks so much, Ash!" Serena said.

"Now you better take good care of my daughter, Ash!" Serena's dad, Sycamore, said, as he exited out of the house with his wife, Grace, following him.

"Dad!!" Serena shouted as a slight blush appeared on her face. "Don't embarrass me!!"

"It's one of your father's jobs to do that to you," Grace responded

"Besides, I have to drive you two to the restaurant," Sycamore added to his wife's words.

Serena sighed at her parents' remarks. Then, she grabs a hold of Ash's hand with her own, as she drags Ash towards her father's car.

"Have fun, Serena! And Ash, take care of my daughter!" Grace shouted.

"We will!" Serena answered back while shouting.

"Don't worry, Mrs. Yvonne, I will take good care of her!" Ash shouted to Grace, promising her that he'll take care of her daughter on this date.

With that, Ash, Serena, and Sycamore all got into the car and drove off to the restaurant.

On the way to the restaurant, Sycamore started talking to Ash.

"Are you going to take care of Serena for me, Ash?" Sycamore asked.

"Of course I will," Ash responded without any hesitation.

"Oh. Could you tell me how long you've had a crush on my daughter exactly?" Sycamore questioned his daughter's new boyfriend, with curiosity ringing in his voice.

"Well, I started having a crush on her a month after she arrived here. So two years ago" Ash answered without stuttering his words.

"That's quite a long time. Why didn't you tell her sooner?" Sycamore asked, which caused a slight blush to appear on Ash's face.

Ash already knew the reason why he didn't tell Serena sooner. He was extremely nervous and scared about confessing his feelings to her at the time. Ash and Serena became instant friends the moment they met. When he developed a crush on her, he felt afraid and anxious about what her reaction might be. He didn't want to risk ruining his friendship with her. When Serena started a relationship with Calem, Ash felt happy for her but was really disappointed in himself. When Calem turned out to be a big jackass, who wanted Serena's body for sex, Ash was really frustrated with himself for not confessing sooner than later, as he could have prevented Serena from going out with that jerk. When Serena broke up with Calem, Ash immediately realized that he has to tell her how he felt about her really soon. Otherwise, another boy might steal her away from him. When Ash confessed his feelings and Serena accepted them, he felt like he finally got the girl of his dreams. Tonight, he hopes that he'll be able to give Serena the best night of her life. But right now, he has to deal with her father's embarrassing, yet serious, questions.

"Dad!" Serena shouted.

"It's a serious question, Serena," Sycamore responded with a mixed tone of authority and playfulness in his voice.

"Maybe he felt extremely nervous, dad," Serena said, as she hoped that was really the reason why Ash didn't tell her sooner than later.

"She's right," Ash stated, which caused an expression of shock and awe to form on Serena's face.

"Wow. I can't believe I got that right." Serena said.

"Alright, we are here!" Sycamore stated, before continuing his teasing on his daughter and her boyfriend. "Now Serena, please contact me if Ash is also not the right guy for you."

"DAD!!!!" Serena shouts.

"Ok. Ok. I'm sorry! I guess I'm just a lot more cautious now."

"It's fine dad..... I get it." Serena stated as she understands the reason why her father is now more cautious with her.

After Serena told her parents what happened with Calem, they've become more cautious and worried about their daughter now. Since Serena is their only child, they're really protective over her, as if she was their special treasure to them. Although they knew Ash has been a great friend to her for two years, they are still cautious as they worried that Ash might be like Calem. Parents have to protect their children from anything that could possibly ruin their lives. That's their job.

"So we'll get going now?" Serena continued her statement.

"Alright. You kids have fun now!" Sycamore said to the you

"We will!" Ash and Serena both shouted back at the same time.

And with that, Sycamore drove away and the two love birds head inside the restaurant, as they start the first part of their date night.

After ordering their food, Serena and Ash started to have a conversation.

"Ash? Could you tell me what made you fall in love with me?" Serena asked curiously.

"Well, I personally enjoy your wonderful personality. May I also add that you are beautiful?"

"Oh, Ash," Serena said with a smile and blush forming across her face.

"What can I say? I try." Ash said nervously.

"Ash? You sound nervous. What's wrong?" Serena asked, concerned for her boyfriend, who's sitting across from her, at their table.

"Well..." Ash begins to say, before pausing, as he thinks carefully about what's he going to say.

"Come on, Ash. You can tell me." Serena assures her anxious boyfriend while placing her hand on top of his, which brought a bit of comfort to the young man.

"Ok. I'm nervous about messing this up." Ash answered. "I mean, this is my very first date and I really don't want to mess it up!"

"Well then, you don't have to worry about it, Ash. Just be yourself and you'll be perfectly fine!" Serena said with enthusiasm ringing in her voice.

"Ok. Thanks, Serena." Ash stated as the look in his eyes went from worried and calm and content, as he stares at his blonde girlfriend.

"What for? I didn't do much." Serena asked, despite already knowing the answer.

"Well, you got me to be less nervous now," Ash said with a small laugh.

"Oh. Well, in that case," Serena stated, with a giggle, "you're welcome!"

6:00 PM

Ash and Serena had eaten their dinner. Serena had called her father, for him to come and pick both of them up. The next stop was the movie.

The movie that Serena had wanted to see was an animated one. It was called The Secret Life of Pets.

Serena thought it looked adorable and wanted to go see it, so Ash planned to take her to see that movie.

Eventually, Sycamore arrived to take them to the theater.

"So how was dinner you two?" Sycamore asked.

"It was great!" Serena responded happily.

"Let me guess. It was great because you were with a boy that actually loves you! Am I right?" Sycamore said with joy in his voice.

"Of course that's the reason!" Serena responded very happily.

"Well, that's great to hear honey" Sycamore stated with a smile across his face.

For the rest of the ride, it was silent. Serena was appreciating the fact that this date wasn't a disaster. As for Ash, he was enjoying the fact that his first-ever date was going extremely well.

When they reached the theater, Ash and Serena got their tickets and sat down.

While the movie was playing, Serena put her head on Ash's shoulder and they enjoyed the animated movie.

After the movie, Ash and Serena were waiting for each of their fathers to take them home.

Before they went their separate ways for the night, Serena pulled Ash to the side. She could feel her face heating up a little. She had something important to tell Ash. Serena started to let her heart out.

"Ash, this has been the best date I could ever ask for. I can honestly say that you are amazing and way better than my ex. I can now also say...that I love you back." Serena said with a bit of shyness in her voice.

Ash was slightly shocked at what just came out of Serena's mouth. The girl of his dreams just told him that she loves him back! His heart began beating faster than a racing Rhyhorn. Happiness, joy, excitement, and love are the emotions that Ash is feeling right now.

Ash was completely surprised. He had his eyes wide open. Shortly, he closed his eyes and enjoyed his first kiss with Serena, the girl of his dreams. Their first date was truly successful for both of them. This night, this moment, this feeling, will be something that neither of them will ever forget in their lifetime.
