Prologue

This was what real dreams were made of. Adoring fans, large arenas, flashing lights and award shows - touring the world and performing show after show was the high point in all the boys' lives. Bangtan Sonyeondan, also known everywhere as BTS were at the peak of their stardom, burning brighter than any star in the sky and only getting bigger, burning brighter with each new song they put out, each new music video release, each interview they did.

Bangtan were unstoppable. After another heart stopping performance in their Wings Tour 2017, they were feeling greater than ever before.

"Tonight was amazing guys! We were awesome out there!" Jhope shouted as he ran with his band members to the backstage. Tonight's show energized them all in a way that they couldn't describe. They could still hear the crowd cheering as they retreated backstage.

"Yeah! We were incredible!" agreed Rapmon. "I think that was our best show."

"I always put on a good show, every show is my best," declared Suga with an air of confidence. The group laughed.

"That's very like you to say Yoongi Hyung. You are so full of confidence. You have the most confidence out of everyone," Jungkook said in high spirits. He was like a floating cloud of happiness right now. He felt great.

"As well as he should be. All of us should be confident in ourselves. We're achieving everything we've worked so hard for," said Rapmon.

The boys continued to chat conversationally in Korean all the way to the backstage. They entered back stage and started preparing themselves to leave. They were sad to go, New Jersey had been awesome, but they had more shows ahead of them and they were keen on delivering their very best in the future.

Backstage was a study in activity. Hair dressers and wardrobe busily packed cases of equipment and props. The boys all changed from their stage outfits into normal clothes for the road. Their next destination was quite some distance away - food and rest were calling them like a overbearing mother.

"Really I'm starving, we should eat," Jin said, absent mindedly rubbing his middle.

"The manager wants us to meet up with him," Jin said, looking at his Iphone screen.

"Right now?" pouted V, managing to look sad and annoyed at the same time.

"Tell him to meet us at the restaurant," Suga helpfully suggested. He wasn't going anywhere unless it was to some place that would give him lots of food.

Jin tapped a few times on his screen. "Okay he said he'll see us there."

"What does he want to talk about?" Jungkook wondered out loud to V as the seven of them made their way to the van. It was dark out, but cars sped by them every couple of seconds. Newark's night life was in full swing.

"I don't know...I just want to eat. Then Sejin Hyung can talk to us after we're not dying anymore."

Jungkook nodded and piled in the van with the rest of his Hyungs. The show was officially over and they were off to eat...hopefully something good.

Slurp. Gulp. Belch.

The sounds of male hunger being assuaged was a symphony of scrapping plates and smacking jaws. The restaurant was a quaint little space with a few patrons dotted around rectangular tables. The overall energy of the place was soothing, not quite intimate but not so busy as to be uncomfortable. The environment was suitable to the groups current mood. Jin especially was enjoying the delicious cuisine of pizza and fries laid out before him, eating away at his plate with zealous fervor that only a hungry Idol could manage. American food wasn't like their beloved Korean style dishes, but the boys of Bangtan enjoyed it just as well.

Their manager, the one and only Kim Sejin of BTS's record company "Bighit" sat at the table watching everyone with humorous interest. Watching Rapmon, Jhope, V, Jimin, Jungkook, Jin and Suga - all sitting in that order - attack a pie of pizza like they've been starving their entire lives was just honestly so funny. And the boys weren't neat about it...pizza sauce was finding its way in some very interesting places.

No words were spoken but Sejin could see the same thought on all of their faces as they practically inhaled their food...

Mhmmm...pizza.

A few more belches were made, then one of the seven broke the silence.

"I feel like a human again finally," Suga said, leaning back in his chair. His shirt was mildly stained with pizza sauce but that mattered nothing compared to the fact that he was now satisfied and feeling like himself again.

"Oh, this pizza is so perfect. So smushy and squishy and cute for my stomach," V sighed, lovingly embracing his half eaten slice. Suga fixed his sleepy gaze on V.

"Why do you say such senseless things Taehyung? That's not some fluffy animal you have in your hand. It's just a pizza."

V scrunched his nose in defense at Suga's words. "Nothing is just a pizza, Hyung. Pizza is more than just Pizza. It's....fluffy," he finished confidently, and took another bite out of his slice.

Suga shook his head at him in annoyed disbelief. Nothing V said ever made sense. Beside Jimin, Jungkook laughed. He silently agreed with V about pizza being more than just pizza. Pizza was amazing...pizza was everything...

Sejin cleared his throat, effectively gaining everyone's attention. There was much to talk about other than pizza this evening. The boys all wiped their mouths and paused their banter to pay attention to what Sejin Hyung had to say.

"Boys I want to start by saying excellent work so far on the Wings Tour. You all are doing an amazing job, giving this all that you have and improving every day. I am optimistic that by the end of the tour BTS's popularity will be majorly increased and our revenue will climb higher than ever before. You all have recently won an award..."

"The 2017 Shorties Award!" V chimed in excitedly.

Jin fixed V with a stern look. "Taehyung, control yourself," he admonished firmly.

"Ah, sorry Sejin Hyung..." he said, looking sheepish. Sejin just smiled.

"Yes V, The Shorties 2017 Award. I'm very proud of your success so far. Let's have a round of applause for this milestone."

The table broke out in excited applause. "Way to go Bangtan!" Rapmon whooped encouragingly. Hearing Sejin Hyung say that he was proud of them made them all feel so accomplished and proud of themselves. Rapmon especially liked making his mentors proud, and they would make them proud, Sejin, Bighit, and most importantly their Armys - their beloved fandom who's believed in and followed their journey since the beginning. Rapmon couldn't wait to show everyone how much more they could do.

Sejin continued on with his dialogue.

"Now even though your popularity is growing by the day, there is still much work to be done. After a lengthy discussion with the company, it's been decided that in order to further expand BTS's reach, every member will be required to learn English."

This news brought an abrupt stillness to the table. All around the table the members exchanged glances with one another. This was unexpected. Their managers never made such a demand on them before. When were they even supposed to find the time to learn English? This was simply not practical.

"No disrespect Sejin Hyung, but we don't exactly have the time to do that. We've already so much to do with our schedules as it stands now. Also we travel a lot. How could the seven of us go to a university or an institute to study English?" Jhope haltingly inquired of Sejin. The rest of the group nodded their agreed sentiment on the subject. They shared Jhope's concerns.

"Not an institute or university..." Sejin patiently explained. "The idea is to hire a private English tutor to tutor you all exclusively over a period of 12 weeks."

The boys murmured among themselves at that prospect. This was sightly more appealing.

"How will we find a teacher? There are a lot of teachers but how will we find the right one?" Rapmon asked, slightly more interested than before.

"We will put an anonymous ad on yourenglishcareer.net. We will offer an attractive salary but will keep our identity confidential. We'll conduct interviews based on the CV and information provided on the potential employee's application and once we sort out the legalities, tutoring will start immediately."

The boys discussed it among themselves quietly, each one voicing his opinion on the prospect. Suga, Rapmon and Jimin all agreed that the plan appeared solid, but Jimin wasn't too sure about the practicality of adding English lessons to their already demanding schedules. Jungkook wasn't happy at all. He just got finished with homework having just graduated high school recently and didn't want to go back to that life in the slightest. Jhope and Jin were also skeptical, but also open to giving it a try. And V...well he was the only one purely excited to finally learn English.

"I can finally watch movies in English without feeling confused!" he observed happily. In the end they all agreed to hire a private English tutor.

"Good. Because we already put the ad out," Sejin smirked, conversationally picking up his soda and taking a sip.

"Get plenty of rest over the next few days. We're bound for Seoul in less than a week. You boys are about to become really busy..."
