Chapter Nineteen

*Here's the first look into drama I've been warning everyone about. Are you guys ready? Let's do it!*

Mr Justin Bieber made his way down the street in swift progression, his boots making deep reverberations in his legs as he struck the pavement with long, heavy strides. He was dressed in a plain white t-shirt and dark blue jeans, his Rolex and Fossil watches lined his wrists while an expensive chain swayed from his neck at the center of his chest. His shades hung low on his face, blocking his face from easy scrutiny. No matter where he went, Justin dressed to impress. His physical appearance mattered a great deal to him.

His mind however was currently focused on something else besides his apparel. His mind was a tangle of thoughts, and he instructed himself to not think too hard about what he was doing. Life was about survival and that was all he was doing - trying to survive.

He knew how lucky he was to have the job he had now. He wasn't a fool, he knew his students didn't really care much for him, and if they had it their way they would choose to have their old teacher over him.

His steps took on an irritated stride. He had been so close to getting the job that first time, he just knew he had it in the bag. His interview at Bighit had gone so well and Sejin even went as far as to tell him that he expected to see him soon.

"You have impressive credentials Mr Justin, I believe we'll be seeing you around the company really soon," he had said to him, just to turn around to be skipped over for someone else. The recollection soured his mood, causing him to step harder in his boots than before.

At least he was given a second chance. Ms Emeena getting fired was the best thing to happen for him, and he had been elated when they called him in as a replacement. He wasn't one to settle for 2nd best but in this instance he hadn't minded that much, the paycheck made it all worth it. He went into the job with high hopes but quickly realized that the boys didn't want him for a teacher and had made it clear to him where they stood with him from the start. Seeing a liability, he did what any advancing opportunist would do.

He made a backup plan, which was that he gathered all the information he could about Ms Emeena and her two daughters.

He collected information about BTS as well and with leverage on both fronts he felt more secure knowing he had something to his advantage, which was good because he was about to use his leverage right now.

He had to be sure Ms Emeena would stay out of the picture permanently.

His steps slowed down as he neared his destination. The closer he got to where he was going, the louder his conscience screamed at him to stop what he was doing and to stop it now. He silenced the voice, he'd come too far to walk away now, and stepped into the alley where his person was waiting for him.

"Did you bring what I asked for?" a feminine voice called to him from the back of the alley. Justin's steps faltered at the sound of the disembodied voice. The setup of the whole thing had his stomach twisting itself into knots. His instincts shouted at him to abandon this fool's mission and get out of there while he still could.

"Don't tell me you came all the way out here just to waste my time," the girl warned, stepping from the shadows and into the small ray of sun that filtered into the alley.

Oh, she's just a kid, he thought, relaxing just a fraction upon seeing that who he was dealing with was just a young girl.

"No. No, I have it," he said, producing a folder of carefully arranged documents.

"Everything is there - names, phone numbers, addresses, places of frequent visitation, up coming schedules...everything."

He handed the documents to the girl with only a slight hesitation. The girl didn't seem to notice as she took them and looked at the papers with glinting, satisfied eyes. The way she looked at the documents made Justin second guess his decision to give them to her. There was just something kind of evil about the look in her eyes as she read the information.

"I've kept to my end of the deal. Can I be sure I can count on you to keep yours?"

The girl rolled her eyes, which were a curious gray color, and fixed him with a patronizing look.

"Yes. Believe me when I say you'll never have to worry about that tutor and her kids ever again," she replied with a touch of venom that Justin picked up on, and it made him slightly confused.

There was something about that that didn't sit well with him, and Ms Emeena's children weren't the problem, just her herself. He felt that there was a deeper meaning behind her words, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

His earlier apprehensions returned and he suddenly wanted to be far, far away from here. He said a farewell to the eerie girl and turned to exit the alley, only to discover the way was blocked by 4 other young girls.

"Not so fast Justin. You haven't given me everything I want yet."

Justin looked at the girl, perplexed. "Wh-what do you mean? I gave you the documents you wanted," he blustered in frightened bewilderment. He held to his end of the bargain.

"Well yes, but I want something else besides the documents only," the girl said as she eyed his gold Rolex meaningfully. Understanding dawned in his eyes. The girls at the mouth of the alley closed in on him, each girl brandishing their weapons as they advanced.

Outside the alley, passerbyers ducked their heads and walked on faster as screams for help emitted from the dark alley. No one dared to go see what was happening. They already knew.

There was no help for anyone stupid enough to walk into Sonja's alley.

Jimin swallowed down the nausea that skirted around in his stomach. They were headed to yet another fan event and Jimin was convinced he was going to end up throwing up. He wasn't ready to expose himself to more fans, the last fan event was too fresh in his mind. For the past week he'd drawn in on himself, unwilling to talk about it, or anything else really, but he surely thought about it. He couldn't shake it from his mind. It was too soon to be around screaming fans.

V looked over at Jimin with a scrutinizing gaze, noting the glassiness of his eyes. Jimin looked sick, or miserable - probably both sick and miserable. V felt a twinge of sadness for his friend. He absolutely hated seeing Chimchim this way. He hated that he couldn't do anything to fix what was bothering him equally as much. He wished he could help him somehow.

On the other side of Jimin, Jungkook laid his head on Jimin's shoulder in an attempt to comfort him. V followed Jungkook's example and Jimin couldn't help the small smile that broke through.

"It'll be okay Chimchim. Me and Taehyung will protect you," Jungkook said innocently, rubbing a hand through Jimin's fluffy hair.

"No one is going to hurt our Chimchim, not ever again. I'll bash his brains out," V said evenly, earning a surprised chuckle from Rapmon.

"Have you ever even fought someone before?" he asked with amusement, but he was genuinely curious.

"Whatever Hyung, I can fight for Jimin."

"That means no, he's too pretty to have been in a fight," Suga concluded, picking at imaginary lint from his jacket. V frowned darkly at him and Rapmon.

"Just wait and see if I don't beat up the person who dares to touch Chimchim!" he exclaimed. Beside him Jimin smiled a full smile. Look at Tae trying to be savage. It was funny but comforting.

Jungkook touched a reassuring hand to V's arm. Tae let their mocking go. He would fight for Jimin even if they didn't think he could.

"Well hopefully you won't have to do that. We've got better security now," Rapmon amended.

They all since the last incident had been appointed a team of body guards, and the security detail for today was beefed up by two times in comparison to their last fan event. They should be safe this time.

Jimin knew all of this, but he wasn't convinced. He felt deep inside that something was coming, something terrible. He couldn't shake his feeling of foreboding. He kept his concerns to himself however.

They finally arrived to the event. They were going to do a small performance as a promotion for their upcoming music video. As a special treat they were going to do a brand new dance routine that was to be featured in their video at the end of the concert that the fans hadn't seen before that point. It was simple stuff, a wham bam thank you ma'am and they'd be done.

The boys breezed through hair and make up and were headed to stage before Jimin could fully collect his emotions. He did his best to shake the anxiety that gripped his stomach and put a broad smile on his face. Fake it until you make was how the saying went, so he was trying that now.

The fans cheered loudly as Bangtan walked out onto the stage, which was a decent size for all seven of them - nothing too grand but nothing tiny, and they spread out across the stage as cheers followed them. The boys waved back, causing more cheers to erupt, then they started the performance.

They performed some of their biggest hits, Not Today, Spring Day, Run, as well as some more throwback songs - Dope, and Fire. They sang snippets of each song, and danced their perspective dances. Soon it was time to end the performance, and they closed out with the new dance routine, throwing the crowd into another round of wild cheering. The fans really loved it it seemed. After an hour of performing, the event was done and few more waves and bows later, it was over, with the boys waving goodbye to the still cheering fans.

Jin collapsed on the floor at backstage, dramatically spreading out like a starfish and extending his limbs to their full length. "So tired. Must....sleep," he groaned.

"Not on the floor Hyung. You'll make the Noonas mad," Jhope advised from the Sofa. He practically fainted onto the couch. They were all wiped out from the performance.

"Just tell me we don't have another performance," Rapmon muttered from the chair he was slouched in.

"Actually, we have one tomorrow," Jin said from the floor. Everyone groaned.

"We aren't even on tour. This industry is going to kill us..." Jungkook murmured, struggling to stay upright.

"Don't say that Kookie. No one's dying," Rapmon scolded him for his morbid sentiments. Jungkook gave a sheepish look.

They lounged around backstage for a while longer, waiting until the last possible minute before they roused themselves to go.

So far nothing crazy had happened, and Jimin wondered if he hadn't just been paranoid at the end of it all. But his gut was still telling him something loomed just on the horizon. But what was it? What could it be?

Bangtan made their way to the van, their personally assigned security detail making a tight circle around them as they moved swiftly. Taehyung yelped at the sharp sting that he felt suddenly in his foot, his progression with the other members experiencing a hiccup. He bent down to fish out whatever it was that made its way into his shoe, unaware that the others kept moving. One of the body guards did notice his sudden lag behind everyone else, and stopped the group from going any further without him.

Out of nowhere, the sound of screeching tires sounded through the the open space between the boys and V, bringing his spine upright in sudden alarm. A beat up car revved in front of him, and two hooded figures jumped out of the car, catching V over the head with a black cloth bag and pulling him into the vehicle before he or anyone else could react. His shout was muffled by the dark cloth.

"TAEHYUNG!! SOMEBODY SAVE HIM!" Jimin screamed at the top of his capacity. The rest of the boys shouted V's name as they watched their friend be pulled into the car in horror. The security detail reacted immediately, taking out their pistols and firing shots at the tires of the car. None of them managed to make a hit, and everyone watched in disbelieving shock as the car sped away, a billow of exhaust floating in it wake.

Jimin threw up. He hadn't been paranoid after all.
