Neil.....his name escaped my mouth in a voice that I didn't even recognize nor cared about at the moment.

He must have called my name too because I saw his lips move but couldn't hear anything because of the suddenly loud music.

My teeth start to nibble my lip, a nervous habit of mine, when his eyes shifted from my face to my lips and they darkened even more with an emotion that I recognized but didn't want to name in a losing effort to maintain some semblance of control over my irrational feelings.

Anu, I whisper to myself, wake up idiot! What are you doing, standing here like a nincompoop, staring at Dr.Neil Khanna like he is a scrumptious buffet and you have been starving from centuries!

My breath hitched in my throat when I saw that he has started moving in my direction, slowly but surely.
