Jae Yeon's POV
"Ms. Lee!" An enraged outburst echoes throughout the whole classroom from my History teacher. This caused me to jolt awake in surprise.

"Huh?! Wha?!" I frantically looked around the classroom in panic. Laughter from my classmates fill the room while my teacher rubs her temples in disbelief.

"For the fifth time, Ms. Lee. Please refrain from dozing off during class. This will be your last warning." She says in a stern voice. I stood up with my head hung low in embarrassment.

"I apologize, ma'am. It will never happen again."

"Good, you may now take your seat. So as to continue our lesson..." I didn't bother to listen to the rest of her lecture and only stared out of the window. The sky was clear and bright today and the sunlight brought out the greenness of the grassy fields. I sighed. The weather's in such a good vibe today meanwhile here I am, being all somber and gloomy.

"God, you're kidding right?" My besk
t friend since middle school, Eun Ji says skeptically, taking a bite of her macaroni. I frowned at her.

"I'm serious Eun Ji-ssi, I even got embarrassed in front of the whole class!"

"Well that's what you get for playing LOLOL the whole night." She says nonchalantly.

"Such a nice best friend you are. Besides, it's not my fault that LOLOL is so goddamn addicting and fun!"

"It's your fault for getting addicted to it, not the game. Period." She says, pointing her fork at me in a threatening manner. I huffed.

"Whatever."

"Anyway, got any ideas what club to join? The seniors are gonna start recruiting members by friday."

"Oh yeah, I haven't even thought about that." I say and face palmed when realization hits me.

"Me neither. I was thinking about joining the volleyball club, unfortunately the registration slot is already full. Man, I wanted to join so badly!" Eun Ji whines.

"The same thing happened to me. I was supposed to join the soccer club but most of the sophomores have already signed up!"

"Dang those sophomores. They're not even being nice enough to us freshmen. They actually joined in most of the sport clubs!"

"Unbelievable." I say.

"Yep, it totally is."

The bell chimed, cutting our conversation short. Eun Ji sighs as she rose up from her seat.

"Well see you later, Jae Yeon-ah. Hope school ends soon 'cause it sucks like hell." I chuckled at her sarcastic remark.

"Sure thing."

*****
"Man, today sure was a long day." Eun Ji says with a yawn.

"Ugh, I wanna play LOLOL but there are so much projects to finish." I groaned, ruffling my hair in frustration. An irk mark appeared in Eun Ji's forehead.

"Can't believe you still have the nerve to bring up that stupid game instead of thinking about the sticky situation we're in right now." She says then made an eye-roll.

"Stop being such a killjoy Eun Ji-ssi, it's not like you did good in your studies either so we're even."

"Hey! I prioritize my studies too, you know!" She protested before whacking me in the head. Damn, that freakin' hurts. If only she wasn't a volleyball player, ugh.

"Owwiee, that hurt! Eun Ji-ssi!" I whined, rubbing the aching spot.

"Ha! Your fault!" She smirked. I huffed in annoyance. I was about to make a comeback when I stepped on something. I looked down. A.. Phone? Wait.. There's another one too. What the hell?

"Jae Yeon-ah?" Eun Ji says when she noticed I stopped my pace.

"Weird. Why are there smartphones on the ground?" I asked particularly to myself. Eun Ji takes a closer look at it.

When I picked it up, I suddenly felt a strange feeling of being stared by someone. I whipped my head around and saw a mysterious figure peeking from the alley, its turquoise eyes feels like their piercing through my soul. Waves of fear and panic washed over me. Before I knew it, he disappeared from my sight. Who...the hell was that?

"These phones seem new, like it hasn't been used which I find really weird." Eun Ji's voice snapped me back to reality and I looked back at her.

"Yeah..Anyway, I'm gonna check this phone out."

"Are you serious?! You're gonna invade the owner of the phone's privacy!"

"I know. But it's better to at least recognize the owner right?" I say, she sighed.

"Do whatever you want."

However, as soon as I turned it on, a weird message came up from a person whose username is 'Unknown'.
What a classic way of thinking of a nickname. I remarked sarcastically in my head.

Unknown: Hello...?

I stared at the message blankly, not knowing what proper response I should give. Should I give this a reply? But this person might be texting the owner. Although, it might worry the person, so maybe I should just let 'Unknown' know that the owner lost it. That would be the most logical way. I hesitantly pressed my fingers against the keyboard and began typing.

Jae Yeon: Hi, um.. The owner lost the phone so I happened to pick it up and search for that person. Do you happen to be close with him?

I finished typing and pressed the button 'send'. Unfortunately, realization hits me. Why is the owner's contact number set into my name? What the hell is going on?! I felt chills through my spine as I thought about someone getting information about me. Okay, this is getting really creepy.

"J-Jae Yeon-ah...?"I looked over to see Eun-Ji trembling in fear as she held the other phone. She might've witnessed the same thing.

"This 'Unknown' person texted you too?" She only nodded in response, still freaked out.

"T-This is insane... We should call the police." She says in a frightened tone.

"Wait.. We have to see what happens first. We can't just jump to conclusions."

"But this person knows our names, Jae Yeon-ah! What if he wants something with us?! If we don't do anything right now, we might regret what happens next!" She argued, her hands shaking, dropping the phone in process. I glanced at the screen and saw that 'Unknown' had responded. I shifted my sight to the phone in my hands.

Unknown: Actually, I just have a favor to ask. Do you mind handing those phones over to the owners at the abandoned clubroom at SKY University? That's the school where they study.

SKY University?! That's where we study too! Besides, nothing bad will happen since we'll be handing the phones over in a public place. That shouldn't be a problem. I agreed to myself and decided to tell Eun Ji, who's still trembling with hands over her mouth.

"Hey Eun Ji-ssi, there's nothing to worry about. This 'Unknown' person just gave us a favor to give back the phones to the owners at our school. Which means the owners are most possibly to be students of SKY University." I reassured her. Eun Ji immediately calms down.

"Thank God. But we can't let our guard down yet. Jae Yeon-ah, if you have a bad feeling about doing this, just tell me right away. We need to be aware because there's still a tiny possibility this 'Unkown' person is setting us up in a trap." Eun Ji stated. I nodded in agreement.

"Alright then. But it's still strange that this 'Unknown' person knows our names. It's like he expected us to claim the phones to give it back to the owners."

"Agreed. But we'll worry about that after we hand over the phones back. For now, we should worry about the owners first."

"Roger that."

Jae Yeon: Alright, sure thing. But, I'll be leaving right away along with my friend because it seems sketchy.

Unknown: You trust me... Thank you.

Unknown: And by the way, do you happen to know SKY University? I can send you the address if you need it.

Jae Yeon: Oh no, it's fine. My friend and I study there so we got that one covered.

Unknown: Oh, I see! What a coincidence! By the way here are the directions to the abandoned clubroom and the password.

Unknown sends two links, I raised an eyebrow in confusion.

Jae Yeon: There's a password?

Unknown: Yes, I'm not sure why but I'm guessing it's for security safety. Well then, I must get going.

Jae Yeon: Wait!

Jae Yeon: First, who are you?

Unknown: Ah, how rude of me to not introduce myself.

Unknown: Knowing my name doesn't really matter. I'm just a Korean student studying abroad.

I stared at the screen wearing a perplexed expression. Why would knowing his name doesn't matter? Is he part of some secret agency or something that's why he keeps his name hidden? God, this guy is so hard to understand. This got me really curious but didn't dare to ask him.

Jae Yeon: I see.. Well then, I should get going. We'll bring the phones back tomorrow at school.

Unknown: Th

Unknown: ank

Unknown: you

- Unknown has left the chatroom -

"Weird. Can't believe he just left the chatroom like that." Eun Ji says irritatedly.

"Never mind him, let's just do what he says. Besides, we should keep our word or else something bad might happen." Eun Ji nods. I looked up at the sky.

"Holy crap, it's already dark! I'm past my curfew hour! Ugh, my mom's gonna kill me for sure." I groaned.

"Same here. We should get going."

"Yeah.."

Little did I know, the mysterious turquoise-eyed boy had been stalking and following us all along.
