"Cha!" yells the pink-haired annoyance as she throws a punch in your direction. 

You dodge the attack swiftly, ducking right before Sakura's punch could make contact. Without wasting time, Sakura attempts to kick you from below, causing you to jump in the air. By doing so, Sakura is able to grab a hold of your ankle. This allows her to throw you in a random direction; however, being skilled and all, you land on your feet without any trouble.

"Seriously Sakura, is that really all you got?" you question her with such an arrogant tone.

"Yeah, well I thought you were gonna rock my shit? Or are you too busy oogling Neji to do anything productive?" taunts Sakura back. 

You ignore her attempt to make you lose her cool, watching her pull out several kunai to throw in your direction. You activate your gloves of water, catching each kunai with ease. Due to the year of training, you have been able to strengthen your water-like gloves, allowing you to receive minimal to no damage to minor attacks. Furthermore, such gloves allowed you to play offensively and defensively.

You throw Sakura's kunai back at her, one by one as you run closer and closer to her. You are able to get close enough to her for a ninjutsu attack as she was too busy deflecting her kunai while you ran at her. Before Sakura could have enough time to react, you quickly create several hand signs. Feeling your cheeks fill up with water, you let out a blast of water as if a hose within you turned on. It was not a powerful stream of water from your mouth, at least not yet, but it would definitely piss Sakura off even more.

With disgust, Sakura yelled, "Are you kidding me? That didn't even hurt."

"Obviously moron, I told you that your hair would get wet though," you sheepishly retort back, watching Sakura's pale face become red with anger.

While you and Sakura fought back and forth, neither really gaining any leverage, other shinobi spoke to one another on the second floor.

"Ugh!" grunts Rock Lee. "Why doesn't she just finish her already so that I can get to my battle?"

"Seriously, (y/n)'s strong enough to wipe the floor with her. What's taking her so long?" questions Tenten as she pouts.

"Remember guys, (y/n)'s still recovering from her battle at the stream and her weird vomiting. I'm just glad that she not puking fish right now," Neji reminds the two.

Tenten and Rock Lee nod in agreement as they remembered the incident in the forest. Neji then overhears another ninja talk poorly of your skillset, causing Neji to butt in a little.

"Tch, really? Water gloves? What does she expect will happen if she continues to let silly little gloves do all the work for her?" mumbles a boy with purple face paint and a black outfit covering his whole body. 

"They're not silly, trust me," states Neji as he glares daggers into the boy's direction. 

The sand ninja only laughs, finding it hard to take you or Neji seriously. 

"Just watch moron, she'll rock your shit too," smirks the Hyūga.

"Yeah, whatever," mumbles back the sand ninja.

Your fight with Sakura continues, no one still gaining some sort of leverage. However, that is until you make a mistake. You slip on the puddle of water created from the small stream of water that was once used to wet Sakura's hair. While falling, a chance to punch you into the ground arises for Sakura and she takes it.

You make an attempt to catch yourself, hoping to create enough momentum for you to flip backwards in time to kick her in the face once you make the full 360 spin. However, Sakura throws kunai at you, causing you to catch such kunai out of habit. Because of this, you fall on your back.

As expected, Sakura jumps on top of you and drives a fist into your ribs. Dust is everywhere, gasps filling the room as they wait to see what has happened. Once the dust clears, everyone finds Sakura standing on top of your unconscious body.

"(Y/n), get up! Get up (y/n), get up!" screams Rock Lee with tears streaming down his face.

"Yeah (y/n)! Don't give in yet!" yells Tenten.

Neji was silent as he helplessly watched Sakura drag you to the referee. He overheard Sakura's sensei comment on your performance to Guy-Sensei.

"That's a shame. I expected your pupils to put up more of a fight," commented the grey-haired male.

"You underestimate my pupils, Kakashi. What my team has that no other team does here is comradery. In other words, it's not over yet!" exclaims Guy-Sensei as he gives a thumbs up and a wink.

After hearing this, Neji whips his head around, watching Sakura lift your hand up in attempt to mock you forfeiting, and he screams at the top of his lungs, surprising not only his teammates, but everyone around him.

"(Y/n)! Don't you dare give up! You're better than this! So stop playing games and kick billboard brow's ass!" screams Neji, his words bouncing off the wall.

Sakura whips her head at Neji, anger written all over her face.

"What did you say, you damn rotten, good for nothing Hyūg-"

Before Sakura could finish her sentence, you wake up in an instant, removing yourself from her grip. You grab her arm and slam her into the wall.

"Sorry, I was taking a nap. It takes a lot of energy to be humble, but it's not like you would know, Sakura," you cockily retort as you begin to concentrate all the chakra inside you into your lungs.

Sakura picks herself up and begins running at you with anger.

"Says the moron who has been talking crap non-stop and almost got beaten!" yells back Sakura as she throws kunai your way.

You let them pierce your skin, flinching a little from the pain. However, it was nothing compared to the injuries you have suffered before. Besides, it was important that you built up the chakra within you as much as possible, even if it used every last drop of it. You also needed to bring Sakura closer to you, so you continued to let her throw kunai and hit you each time.

"Look who's the idiot now? Maybe next time you'll learn to stay in your pla-" Sakura's sentence is interrupted as a powerful jet-stream of water bursts out of your mouth, directly hitting Sakura's whole body.

The immense water pressure slams Sakura into another wall, causing her to hit her head and become unconscious. You continue to stand, not letting up until the referee confirmed that Sakura was unconscious for longer than ten seconds. He walks over to you, your frail body struggling to stand still. He grabs your wrist and holds your arm high in the air.

"Sakura Haruno is unconscious and unable to continue fighting. The victor is (y/n) (l/n)!" he yells, letting go of your arm to cover his mouth as he coughs.

You look up at your teammates as they cheer for you. You give them a huge smile and begin to walk their way. However, all of a sudden, they pan out of view and everything becomes black.

Neji watches as you fall to the ground unconscious. Without another thought he jumps down and runs up to you. He activates his Byakugan and notices your chakra levels are dangerously low, your lungs are extremely dry, and one of your ribs seems to be fractured. You have several other injuries still healing from your last battle by the river too.

"Where are the medics? We need the medics!" yells Neji, worried sick of your condition.

He so badly wanted to pick you up and hold you close in his arms, but he knew better then to mess with someone with injuries. To ensure you healed proficiently, he did not move your body around. He sat by your side and gently patted your head as he waited for the medical team to come.

Soon after, they did come and gently placed you onto a stretcher. They analyzed your wounds as Neji explains the damages he can see with his Byakugan, confirming all his worries.

"Go back to the top floor, kid," mumbles one of the medics.

"Is she going to be okay?" asks Neji, worry pervading through his whole body.

"She should be," mumbles one of the other medics.

Without another comment, the medical team carries you out of the room, along with Sakura. Neji returns to the rest of your team, pacing back and forth as soon as he can.

It was abnormal for the leaf ninjas to watch the young prodigy become such a nervous wreck, especially since he was a nervous wreck over a girl he once thought was a nuisance.

Before he could pace back and forth for the tenth time, Neji feels someone's touch on his shoulder. Expecting it to be one of his teammates or even Guy-Sensei, he is surprised to find Naruto behind him.

"She'll be okay, Neji. I'm worried too, because (y/n)'s one of the best friends I've got. She treated me with respect despite what I am, and not many do that to begin with- even now. She's a special friend to me, so I can only imagine how you feel right now since she's your girlfriend," states Naruto with a serious look.

"Thank you, Naruto, I appreciate your wor- Girlfriend? Girlfriend! What do you mean? It's not like that! I'm just concerned for my teammate!" yells Neji, his voice echoing through the room.

Dumbfounded, Naruto responds, "Well, you two were definitely kissing last night. I mean, it was dark and I was half-asleep looking for some water because that 3am water hits different, but I could have sworn you guys made out last night."

Before Neji could deny everything, Rock Lee speaks up.

"Wait! So that wasn't a dream? I guess I was half-asleep too when I opened my eyes for a second. I just couldn't believe what I saw so I just ignored you guys kissing and rolled over since Neji would never make the first move like that."

"Wait! What? You kissed (y/n) and Rock Lee wasn't delusional?" gasps Tenten with excitement.

Flustered, Neji yells back, "No! All of you are delusional! We're just friends! F. R. I. E. N. D. S. Get that inside your heads!"

"Jeez Neji, we were just teasing!" laughs Rock Lee.

"Yeah, we know you'd never have the balls to actually make the first move anyways. We don't know why you're getting so defensive about it," giggles Tenten.

"Well, I just don't want everyone to get the wrong impression of (y/n)! We shouldn't be spreading rumors like that!" states Neji, his face flushed like a tomato.

"Wait, we were just teasing? I meant it when I saw them kissing," mumbles Naruto as he tries to remember what happened last night.

Before he could, Sasuke grabs his collar and begins to drag Naruto away as he screams and kicks. Neji is relieved that the Uchiha butted in much like how you did earlier when Sakura was arguing with Sasuke about his condition. Before he could thank the raven-like boy, it was time for another match-up.
