Shit, shit, shit! I can't believe I screwed up!

Your internal thoughts are interrupted by a flashback of you coming across a team from the Hidden Rain village. You came upon their campsite, carefully watching them mark out a plan in the dirt. Later on, you realized that the team did not have the scroll you and your team needed, so you attempted to run off once again. However, you ended up setting off a trip wire, having numerous senbon head in your direction. Due to being caught off guard, you quickly activate your fists of water that you have mastered within the extra year Might Guy provided your team with. Once your fists of water were activated, you clamp them together and quickly pull apart the water as if it was slime. Because of this, you are able to catch some of the senbon to protect your vitals. However, some senbon graze your legs, causing streams of blood to slowly trickly down your legs. 

By now, you are running from the team of men chasing you down.

"I'm telling you morons! You're wasting your energy as I do not have the scroll you need, nor do I even have a scroll in the first place!" you yell, attempted to dodge attacks from the opposing Hidden Rain team. 

"Even so, you pose a threat to our victory, and we must eliminate you!" yells back one of the Hidden Rain members.

Fuck, I don't know where my team is at, and these idiots genuinely have the intent to kill. What the hell do I do?

As you attempt to think of how you can outrun them, you begin to panic as you come into a clearing that only leads to a giant wall of rock. If cornered into the rock, then you would surely be killed. You come up with an idea and create two other water clones of yourself, having one run to the left and one attempt to run up the wall of rock. You decide to take a right in hopes of the team splitting up. Fortunately, you are able to shake off two guys, only having one chase you. And, to your surprise, you are in distance of a river that could definitely help you in your fight as you know that this guy will not stop chasing you until you are finished.

You make it to the river and quickly jump in, allowing yourself to soak to really feel the water, as if you could understand its feelings and eventually become one with it. Before you knew it, you were finally a part of the water. This is another ability you have gained within the year, mastering the power to conceal yourself within water and further feeling the other presences that are within the water. It was not before long until the rain ninja jumped into the water as well. You watched as he slowly sank, also concealing himself in the water with you. You were aware of the risks of jumping in as it did not surprise you that a hidden rain ninja could also have the same tricks up his sleeve. 

It was a matter of who could find who first at this point. You were waiting for his presence to appear for minutes; however, you were starting to lose air and quickly begin to swim up. Before you could reach the top, you feel another presence and realize the other ninja has already detected you. In fact, you realize that he could detect you the whole time and was waiting for you to run out of air before attacking. 

This fucking coward! Waiting for me to run out of breath, damn it!

You quickly swim to the top, feeling your hand break through the top of the water, your elbow following behind. Your face was even closer now, seconds within air. You were almost relieved; however, the rain ninja finally catches up with you and grabs one of your legs. He begins to drag you even closer to him. You attempt to kick him away, but he is adamant and continues to pull you even closer until finally he wraps his arms around you and begins to sink even farther into the river. You pull out a kunai and stab him in the hip. His grip loosens at the pain, and you are able to punch his face hard enough for him to fall back a little as he holds his nose. With the last bit of strength you have, you push off the bottom of the river and swim to the top again. 

Despite being even closer to passing out due to the lack of oxygen, you swim even faster and eventually make it to the top. You take many deep breaths as you swim closer to shore, feeling yourself gain back your strength. Although, the rain ninja comes back and pulls you under again, this time slicing your hip with the kunai you used to stab him with. You fight back by kicking him in the face, attempting to create space. However, he does not fall back and stabs you in the thigh, causing you to scream out bubbles of air. This was an awful choice as you were now losing your breath once again. The rain ninja pulls you closer to him, taking this opportunity to wrap his hands around your neck to strangle you. 

You felt yourself losing sight of the light, about to fall into darkness. As a final act of desperation, you kick the guy in his crotch. He heels over in the water, holding his damaged groin. You knee him in the stomach, causing him to gasp and lose some breath in the water. Because of this, he tries to swim towards the top. However, you grab his arm and pull him down as hard as you can, causing him to sink closer the bottom. You step on his face and push off, causing him to sink even farther while you quickly swim up to the top. 

The hidden rain ninja smacks into the bottom, losing even more air. He attempts to quickly swim to the top. At this point, he stops caring about trying to kill you as he knows he will be able to finish you off once he obtains some oxygen. He gets ready to push off the bottom of river until he realizes what you stuck onto his sleeve when you first pulled him down. He did not realize that you stuck explosive paper onto his arm as you quickly kicked his face afterwards. Before he could destroy the paper, it explodes. 

You feel the explosion underneath you as you struggle to swim towards the top. The explosion sends a wave of water at you, causing it to push you out of the water. Due to exhaustion, you are unable to land and simply fall into the ground, landing several feet away from the river. You cough up water and take many deep breaths. You watch as blood rises to the top, assuming that you killed the man. You watch as his corpse floats to the surface and is slowly pulled away by the soft current of the river. 

Before you can recover, another team member of the hidden rain jumps in front of you and kicks you into a tree. You groan in agony as the other team member grabs you by the neck and slams you into the tree. You spit blood into the man's face, causing him to slam you into the tree once more. He lets go of you, letting you slide to the ground. He pulls out a kunai and holds it up to your neck.

"Any last words, bitch?" he asks, seconds away from slicing your neck.

You cough up a bit of blood, weakly answering yes to his surprise. As you manage to cough up words, you distract the ninja in front of you. This allows more time for you to think of how you can get out of this situation. The other hidden rain ninja shoves his team member out of the way.

"I'll fucking kill her myself as I do not care about what she has to say!" yells the aggravated ninja as he pulls out his own kunai, going in for the kill. 

Before the ninja is able to slice through your neck, a kunai pierces his shoulder. The impact causes him to fall back a bit. Before he can recover, another kunai is thrown his way. Despite this, he uses the kunai he was going to kill you with to deflect the kunai being thrown at him. The deflected kunai poofs, showing Deidara as he flies through the air in your direction. Deidara quickly throws another kunai at the man he injured previously. The man catches the kunai, but it explodes in his hand and kills him due to the kunai actually being wrapped in explosive paper. Deidara lands next to you, quickly grabbing you as he runs in the opposite direction. 

"D-Deidara?" you manage to stutter as you watch his serious expression contort into a smile.

"Don't worry (y/n), you're safe now. You can relax," kindly states Deidara with his familiar smile. 

It was not long before you pass out because of the exhaustion and loss of blood, allowing yourself to fully trust Deidara.
