Chapter 22 Final

"When are you guys going to kill me and feed on my intestines?" Blossom breathed in a joking matter to break the ice. Except on the inside she was consumed by fear. Their was a chance that this joke wasn't really just a joke, she was already bitten once.

Brick growled, slamming his hand down on the counter top, "I already told you, I wouldn't let anyone hurt you!"

"Yeah because I'm going to believe the guy who tried to rip my neck open!" Blossom snapped, trying to stand but lost balance a few times and ended up just sitting back down.

Brick sighed while everyone else awkwardly stood around, not knowing how to approach the situation. The beeping from the oven was the blade that cut the tension in the room.

Sudusa was the first to move, as she went to go pull out the food. She dished it and let it cool, as everyone avoided the others eyes. Blossom was growing past her boiling point but screaming would get her no where. She sighed, "Alright baby steps.." She whispered with a smile, remembering when Aaron had told her those same words, "How long have I been asleep?"

"Two weeks..." Brick muttered, jealousy sparking through him, knowing full well who Blossom was thinking about.

Blossom gaped trying to make some sense of the whole situation, "So just because you tried to take a chunk of my neck, I fell into a coma...?"

Sudusa placed the plate of food in front of Blossom, her hand resting on her shoulder, "More like a transformation, your body was getting prepared..."

"Prepared?! Prepared for what?! Is that what these initials mean?"

"Look Red, before we explain anything to you, you have to eat and get your strength back. If we put any more pressure on you, you'll probably fall back into a coma like state. You woke up earlier than you were supposed to." Butch demanded.

I rolled my eyes but ate the food anyways, it was pretty good but they could've slipped something into it. I finished as quick as I could, "Now, it's time for some explaining!" I snapped, facing them all.

"Alright, but we aren't going to hurt you, you have to understand that." Brick whispered.

I huffed but nodded, "Go ahead, it's not like I can go anywhere."

"Their's no easy way to say this, so I'm just-" Sudusa started but was interrupted by Butch.

"We're vampires, creatures of the night, bloodsuckers, you know the whole Blah, blah, blah!"

She gaped at him, "Butch! Really?!"

He just smirked, "You were beating around the bush, it's really annoying."

Blossom glared at them, "Real funny, I'm laughing my butt off," She deadpanned, "Seriously, what's going on here?"

The others just rolled their eyes, "We aren't lying, Blossom. We all know you've made this connection a long time ago but the logical side of your brain will not allow you to believe it." Brick snapped.

She just huffed and glared at the ground, they were insane, they had to be insane! Vampires don't exsist, their just the hot guy in books and sometimes in movies, if you were that lucky. They were probably some crazy ass twilight fans, stuck in a fantasy.

Bricks frown deepened, "Did you seriously just compare us to twilight?"

"I said all that out loud didn't I?" She winced, saying things like that out loud to these psychos won't help her.

He sighed while the others glared at her, "No, I heard you think it."

Blossom raised an eye brow at him, he thinks he some Edward Cullen, now she was positive this was some crazy twilight shit.

He glared, marching up to her, "No, I'm not some deranged twilight fan, Boomer hell yeah but me, definitely not. I can hear your thoughts because we're connected," His hand slid up to her neck, pressing onto the bite, leaving chills along the way, "by this. I didn't bite you because I was trying to eat you. I was marking you, mates can only go for so long without marking eachother. I didn't get to finish because of them," He glared at the others occupying the room, "That's why it's only my initials and not my full name. We also believe that's why you woke up sooner than you were supposed too."

"Back it up their, marking? Mate's? Also, shouldn't this have some sort of consent to it?" Blossom breathed out, her head pounding as she tried to understand everything.

Brick glanced at Sudusa, seeing as she was also female, she'd be better at explaining this part. She smiled lightly before sitting next to the redhead, "You've heard of soul mates before, haven't you?"

"Maybe this would be an easier question to answer if fang boy here, didn't keep me prisoner in my own home." Blossom snapped, she was sick of all of this, she just wanted to go home, to when her mother was still alive and her father actually loved her and she was allowed to leave the house and play with her sisters...

Sudusa sighed, grabbing Blossoms hand and holding it in her own, "Please Blossom, don't make this harder than it already is."

Blossom glared at her, it was hard on her?! Blossom was the one who was basically kidnapped! She sighed, "Alright, yeah I know what soul mates are; I thought my last boyfriend and I were supposed to be soul mates."

Brick growled but he didn't move, just sulked in the corner, "Well you and Brick are actually soul mates. Almost every supernatural creature has a mate and when they turn a certain age they can sense their partners. Also it is consensual, either mate has the power to reject their individual partner. The reason why Brick was allowed to even bite you was because even though your mind didn't really want this to happen because you were confused your heart already knew what it wanted." As Sudusa finished her speech while Brick was practically seething in the corner. He did not want her to tell Blossom about the whole, being able to reject your mate.

Blossom was still getting use to being here, being with him. They also hadn't finished the marking so she could still reject him. He had to hold back from taking Blossom upstairs and chaining her to their bedroom forever.

While Blossom was still trying to process this whole thing, "I'm really tired, and this whole thing isn't helping, mind if I just go back to bed?" She was tired of fighting and arguing all the time, she just wanted things to be normal again, she just wanted to be happy...

Brick smiled, happy that she wasn't thinking about rejecting him. He walked over and picked her up bridal style forcing a yelp from the pink eyed, redhead. Yet she was still to tired to fight him and he was so warm and inviting that she sank back into his arms and closed her eyes.

It took Blossom the rest of the day to accept the fact that monsters existed and even then she was still to weak to even get out of bed. The next time she woke up, Brick was gone and she was free to have her thoughts to herself. She was smart, she'd always been smart. It was both a blessing and a curse. But she pushed through like she always had, she knew what she had to do now. It was the only available option and she was going to follow through, thick and thin. She stepped out of bed, pacing the room, she had to think this whole thing out more or it would never work...

TWO WEEKS LATER

Everything had cooled down and the others were slightly on edge but soon thought that Blossom understood how it had to be. They started to trust her with each passing day which worked perfectly for her.

She was currently sitting outside in the garden, the same spot she sat with Aaron. She was alone, Brick and the others were having some dumb meeting with people she didn't know, inside. This was going to be her only chance and she sure as hell was going to take it.

She leather jacket she slipped on was to big for her and the dagger hidden on the side of her hip was kind of heavy. Still she took off, running straight into the forest. Her heart pounded but she didn't let that stop her, nothing was going to stop her. Her destination was less than a mile away and the sun had already gone down. She needed to run faster if she was going to make it.

She frozen when she heard the rustle of leaves and crunch of twigs, they were already here. She gritted her teeth together and started running once again.

"BLOSSOM, STOP!" Brick yelled as he stopped a few feet behind her.

Blossom did stop but not for him bit because she had reached her destination, the edge of a cliff. She smirked to herself before turning around, facing Brick.

"Please, Blossom, don't do this, we can talk about this, please..." the desperation was evident in his voice but she was to far gone.

"I reject you, Brick Jojo." Just as the words escaped past her lips, she pushed herself off the edge, falling backwards with a sinister smile on her face...
