| Beauty & The Beast | Chapter 10 |

The new life you had in the castle you finally decided to accept. There was no point in arguing over the case of your stay. However, it didn't feel like a prison anymore. The beast has began to change since of that accident that  occurred awhile back. This caused you to become more at ease and act like you are at home.

You wored new clothes from Eighteen, adorning a elegant and simple [f/c] dress with [f/c] footwear.

While you were strolling around with Oolong outside and playing with the footrest, which apparently was a puppy, Vegeta was watching you from his balcony with Kakarot and Bardock besides him.

As much as he tried, he couldn't keep his eyes away from you. It was almost like you were some kind of delicious bacon. "I've... never felt this way about anyone before..." The beast wasn't the kind to feel such strong emotions. It was unheard of and oddly rare to him. He contained no idea that he had those kind of feelings. They confuse him, but he seems to enjoy them.

"I want to do something for her... But what exactly?" Vegeta frowned, turning his attention to his two advisors, seeing if they can give him any ideas.

"Well, there are the usual things; flowers, chocolate, promises that are rarely kept..." spoke Bardock before Kakarot interrupted.

"Oh no, no, no!" He shook his head in disagreement. "It has to be something very special... Something that will spark her interest... Something... something... Aha!" A light bulb popped on top of his head, as he told them of his idea.

It wasn't long before Vegeta called you to come back inside. You were curious of what was going on by the way he was acting. He seemed quite excited in the most part, but tried to keep his excitement hidden from you. It was a surprise for you, yet you couldn't help but to slightly smile. The beast was truly becoming a bit content, not in his usual grumping side.

You remained walking behind him as he led you through the hallway. After a few minutes, you both came to a complete stop in front of a large door. However, as Vegeta was about to open the door, he turned around towards you with a sly smirk on his lips.

"There's something I want to show you, wom -" He paused, realizing what he was about to say. "[F-F/n]..." His voice came out softly. "But first you have to close your eyes..."

A skeptical look you gave him, causing Vegeta to grin nervously. "It's... a surprise."

'A surprise? I wonder what could it be?' You thought with instant curiosity coming in once more. You never thought of the beast trying to make a surprise for you before, it felt unreal, but special in a way.

Without wasting more time, you closed your eyes. Seeing as you did so, Vegeta waved his hand in front of you to make sure you weren't peeking and couldn't possibly see anything. He opens the door once he notices that you had no intention of seeing and leads you inside.

You couldn't resist any longer so your lips parted as you were being led further into the room, "Can I open them now?"

"No... Not yet." Vegeta answered, taking you to the middle. "Wait a minute, and don't you dare look."

Unable to identify the sound Vegeta was making, you were more consumed by your curiosity. For certain though, he had parten aside the curtains. You bit your bottom lip, deeming to take a small peek, but restrained yourself from doing so. You didn't want to angry the beast despite of how content he seems, and especially didn't want to ruin whatever he had planned for you. It must be the first time he had ever done something like that and especially someone like you.

"Okay, now you can open them."

Upon his command, you eagerly open your eyes. Blinking a bit, you finally adjusted to the sunlight and your surroundings. Your heart beated with surprise and happiness as you looked around in full amazement.

Bookshelves here and there, up there and down there, having millions and trillons of books that need to be discovered and read. It was unbelievable. The room was a gigantic library that you have never imagined could exist.

You stumbled back from the awestruck you were in, luckily, Vegeta's arm helped you to lean upon. If he wasn't there you would have fallen on the floor. Your [e/c] beauties roamed around and drifted up at the ceiling where the bookshelves reached.

Besides you, Vegeta had a small smile, enjoying the way you were in shock of the room. Kakarot may be an idiot at times, but surely this time he made up this idea.

"I can't believe it! I have never seen so many books in all of my life!" You spun around to look everywhere.

"Y-you like it?"

"Of course! I love it!" You exclaimed as you paced around with excitement.

"Then it's all yours." Vegeta said and once your ears catched that, you up at him with a wide smile. You couldn't believe it. A huge library just for you? It's like a dream come true!

"Thank you! Thank you so much!" Your fingers wrapped around his hands before giving him a hug.

Vegeta's eyes were wide upon the embrace. He wasn't fond of hugs, but it felt quite comfortable with you giving it to him. If it wasn't for the fur, you would have caught a slight blush forming on his cheeks. He wasn't quite sure what to do, so he stood there allowing the embrace. A soft smile came across his face.

ChiChi, Gohan, Kakarot, and Bardock all watched the scene that unfolded before their eyes.

"Would you look at that!" ChiChi whispered happliy as Kakarot laughed.

"I knew this would work!" Kakarot placed his candle arm around Bardock.

"What? What worked exactly?" Gohan asked, wondering what the grown-ups were talking about. He was still a small child unable to understand completely of what occurred.

"Very encouraging..." Bardock chuckled as he walked away with Kakarot.

"But," His small brows decreased together. "I didn't see anything." Gohan hopped to his mother who sighed.

"Hop along, Gohan. There are chores to be done..." She smiled, hopping as well before Gohan followed suit.

"But mom, what are they talking about?"
