She may appear as the most angriest person with major trust issues, but once you know her better, then she will eventually warm up to you and will have to ease her anger. When it comes to fighting demons, Kowareta is pretty ruthless and won't stop until she gets the job done. She's someone who follows orders and won't show mercy. Around friends and those who she cares for deeply, Kowareta is such a sweetheart and has a huge soft spot for children, but she doesn't show it often since it's like her personal weakness.

Spring Breathing derives from the combination of Water Breathing and Flower Breathings, which mimics the traditional flowers and rain of spring season, and it also replicates with the user's movements, techniques, and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms are a combination of graceful attacks that focus on agility. It also enhances and utilizes one's vision, albeit at the possibility cost of their eyesight.

New Life
The user does one graceful slash using all their body weight aiming for the neck.

Second Form
Scorching Sunbeam
The user releases several rotating sword slashes that deflects incoming physical attacks.

Third Form
Light Rain
The user changes the grip on their sword and decapitates the opponent in a singular and gentle flowing strike, causing little no pain. Rain seems to immediately fall after the form is performed. This will only be used if the target willingly surrenders.

Fourth Form
Striking Trees
The user leaps highly into the air and charges down, stabbing their sword into the ground and unleashing large and striking tree roots that's used for both offensive and defensive.

Backstory
Kowareta never really lived a good life. Her mother, Yoru, had passed away from blood loss after giving birth to her. During her childhood, the young girl would always watch the father, Ryokucha give all of his love and support to her older sister, Aisuru. She felt like she was just living in her sister's own shadow as time passed by. Aisuru never liked Ryokucha for not being fair to Kowareta, so she took it upon herself to make sure that her younger sister was loved.

Kowareta had to do all chores around the house while Ryokucha had plans for Aisuru, which had that growing rage fueled in her heart and soul as her hatred grew more stronger towards him. During the summer, she would often visit the flower garden at the local park near her home so she can learn how to make flower crowns. That was the day she met her best friend named Tanoshī Seikatsu. They grew inseparable and treated each other like sisters. Aisuru grew proud of her finding a friend, but Ryokucha didn't approve of them, so he ordered Kowareta to leave Tanoshī and never see her again.

Every night, the younger daughter would always argue with him that it was her life and told him that it wasn't fair that she'd never got the same love and attention like the way Aisuru had always received. Kowareta and Ryokucha said some harsh things towards each other, and their relationship had easily fallen apart. Over the years, he'd eventually tried having her become an artist since it has been a family tradition for generations, but she refused and wanted to be someone who helps others.

Kowareta tried her hardest not to lash out when Aisuru began helping her with the sudden anger that was rising, but thanks to all the stuff and words Ryokucha had put her through, she just couldn't cope with it anymore. Life was hard, until one night happened. Tanoshī came by to visit and found Kowareta and Ryokucha having a heated argument while Aisuru tried desperately to break them apart. When he stormed out of the house to cool down, a mysterious man came uninvited and killed him. Kowareta and Tanoshī grew terrified by the sight of blood in front of them, but Aisuru told them to find someone to help and look after them while she stayed behind to protect the younger girls.

Kowareta and Tanoshī managed to escape, but Aisuru didn't make it since the same man had killed her. Day after day, the two girls struggled to find help. Life became more harder, but Urokodaki eventually found and took them in to his home. He took care of the two children, which made Kowareta have this unfamiliar feeling that she'd somehow saw him as a true father. Overtime, he began training them until the day of Final Selection. Kowareta tried to learn Water Breathing, but things didn't really work out. Tanoshī seemed to master the techniques, which made both her and Urokodaki proud.

When Final Selection arrived, Urokodaki gave them each a Kitsune Mask that can guide them through the seven day trials. During the first few days, it grew more difficult with defeating each demon, but Kowareta's life shattered when a demon appeared and brutally attacked Tanoshī. Her best friend's final wish was for Kowareta to find inner peace and protect everyone before giving her haori and the last breath, now dying in the girl's arms. When the trials were over, Kowareta became the new member of the Demon Slayer Corps and kept her promise for Tanoshī. She'll do her best to protect everyone, and make sure to avenge her best friend and Aisuru.
