Sakura is a very quiet and independent person. With fighting demons, Sakura has a mixture of determination and fear, since she had a worse experience when she'd first met a demon in her past. If someone mentions her family's deaths, then Sakura can be either silent or emotional because she hates talking about her past. With her friends or those who need to be protected from demons, then Sakura won't hesitate to become loyal and very overprotective.

What was it derived from?
Cherry Blossom Breathing derives from the combination of Water Breathing and Flower Breathing, mimicking cherry blossom flowers and improves the user's dance-like movements and agility. It also helps utilize and enhance one's hearing, albeit at the possibility cost of their ears. When utilized properly, the user visualizes themselves manipulating and generating flowers in a variety of beautiful pink colors, causing cherry blossom flowers to seemingly emanate from their weapon, surroundings or themselves. Sakura's father originally created it when he was still a demon slayer, so he took the opportunity to teach her some techniques before his death.

Backstory
Sakura is the youngest of the Nohana Family.
Since her family was poor, she was known for delivering homemade mochi and tricolored dango to earn money since she's insisted to help them live a better life without struggles. She'd even wanted to help earn money so she can buy some medicine because her older sister, Lucifia, had grown terribly ill. Sakura's father, Takeda, was one of the strongest Demon Slayers who risked his life to protect others from demons that he was almost close to being ranked as the Cherry Blossom Hashira, but he retired to become the teacher and help train Sakura and her two older brothers, Silver and Zane.

Sakura lived a pretty good childhood. She was best friends with Tanjiro and Nezuko since they've grew up at the mountains together, and their parents were also great friends.
Unfortunately, it was very heartbreaking that they had to go separate ways after Sakura's father retired from the Demon Slayer Corps.Who knows? They can see each other again, someday! During her childhood, Sakura would always sit underneath the cherry trees with Lucifia and would listen to her gentle lullaby that always helped her sleep. Lucifia had also gave her the cherry blossom patterned haori as a gift before she grew terrible sick from the illness.

That wasn't the case, though. Everything suddenly changed when she came back to her home the next morning. Ever since Sakura's father retired, demons has been lurking through the small village that they lived in, and everything was just overwhelming. When Sakura left to deliver some mochi, her mother, Miku, reminded the girl to return back home before sunset and to buy the medicine for Lucifia. Unfortunately, the neighbors in the village had stopped her from going home and insisted that she would stay at their house until the morning.

After Sakura had returned home the next morning, her house was damaged and... there was blood everywhere. She was absolutely horrified when she saw her family laying lifeless on the floor, slowly realizing that a demon had brutally murdered them, but never knew that it was an Uppermoon's work. Sakura heard Lucifia's faint coughs and immediately ran towards her, begging her dying sister to stay alive. The last thing Lucifia told her was to keep the positive smile and always wear her cherry blossomed haori before releasing her last breath. That was until Sakura gave her a promise to avenge their family and hunt down whoever did this.

After burying her family's bodies at the cherry blossom trees, Sakura soon packed some stuff to leave her hometown and find someone to help her. During her journey, a demon attacked her when she was walking through the woods to find shelter, which resulted her cutting her own long hair when it tried pulling her away. Though before she could get killed, Urokodaki saved Sakura and took her back to his place, where he looked after and helped her train for Final Selection. She couldn't thank him enough for doing so much that she wanted to repay him. After Final Selection, Sakura soon became a demon slayer and vowed to herself that she'll hunt down the demon who murdered her family, no matter what stood in her way!
