Unlike Miyu, Umeko is extremely silent and serenely composed when she meets strangers. She can feel extremely anxious when she has hard times deciding on things too much, though she hides it very well behind her calm smile. Rainbow Breathing was derived from Water Breathing, which mimics the colors of an actual rainbow and the flowing movements. It also helps utilize and improve the user's enhanced eyesight. Sorairo's mother originally created the technique for herself since she failed to use Water Breathing when she was being trained by her former master, Sakonji Urokodaki.

The user propels forward and delivers a fast and accurate thrust used for offense and defense.

Second Form
Orange Whirl
The user flips backwards and swings their sword with their body movement to create a wheel that is used to deflect incoming attacks.

Third Form
Yellow Flower Dance
The user swings their sword at the target from all over the place to stun them before unleashing a flurry of nine consecutive attacks that flow and weave in on themselves that mimics a graceful yet deadly dance.

Fourth Form
Green Rebirthing Rain
The user changes the grip onto their sword and delivers a graceful slash that decapitates the target in a gentle yet singular strike, causing little no pain. This form is only used if the target willingly surrenders.

This form is the most strongest yet dangerous one! The user propels forward and releases a singular slash of multiples colors, forming them into a huge green Japanese dragon and unleashing a number of consecutive slashes in a flowing and graceful motion. This technique is capable of making the world for the user all the better. Now, their eyesight is far better. In addition, every chance for a move is revealed, bright rainbow butterflies showing which move to use to it's best extent. During the form, it raises the user's kinetic vision to its maximum, while using this specific technique the user perceives the world as if it were slow motion.
Usage of the technique, however, is highly dangerous, as the tremendous strain of the eyes could cause blood vessels to rupture and lead to partial or complete blindness. This technique is still usable if the user only has one fully functional eye.

Backstory
Umeko hasn't remembered much of her past. She was only a newborn baby when her biological mother, Koyo, was killed. It was just her and her older sister, Miyu. The only thing that Umeko remembered was living in a large orphanage, which was owned by a woman named Yoake Hiruma. Other kids her age grew a bit scared from her blank stares, which had worried Yoake since the woman wasn't paying much attention.

Fast forward to where the two sisters had to run away. Umeko was having some trouble sleeping, so Miyu decided to play a music box since Yoake told her that music helps other children relax. However, before she can fully be in deep slumber, Yoake barged into the room and told Miyu something about running before urgently grabbed a nearest weapon and rushed out of the orphanage to do something.

Umeko was about to ask what was that all about, but Miyu just picked her up and ran out of the back door, making the younger girl confused yet still trying to understand what was happening. Unfortunately, Yoake was killed by Muzan. Overtime, the girls ended up traveling in hope to find at least someone to raise them. When they were walking through the small local town, they bumped into another stranger.

The stranger introduced herself as the Rainbow Hashira, Sorairo Etsuko. Miyu grew a little skeptical at first, but shared her introductions while Umeko stood very silent, just staring at the brown haired woman with curiosity. After a few words exchanged, Sorairo then took the girls back to the Rainbow Estate and made sure they had food to eat and a warm bath.

After dinner, Miyu began explaining about everything that happened back in the orphanage and how she and Umeko weren't given any last names. Sorairo grew sympathetic for them, but then smiled and decided that their last names will officially be revealed as Fujinoki. However, when Miyu pointed out that her sister was also never given a name, which is quickly confirmed by Sorairo that it'll be Umeko!

Some time later, Miyu was then taken under Sorairo's wing of training into becoming a demon slayer alongside learning a technique named Rainbow Breathing. Umeko, on the other hand, would sit on the porch and stare at them, observing their fighting style. She wanted to try and ask Sorairo for permission, but she didn't seem to have the urge to do so.

What she didn't know next was that the final battle of war against Muzan was just around the corner now that three Upper Moons were already slain. Since Umeko was currently visiting the Butterfly Mansion to help Aoi, she wasn't aware of what Sorairo and Miyu were discussing that involved having to fight the demon king.

Fast forward to when Muzan was finally defeated, but unfortunately, Umeko won't be seeing Sorairo anymore because she'd made a huge sacrifice. Miyu had to come back home with fatal wounds and was already having tears streaming down her face, which was something Umeko hasn't seen before. During Sorairo's funeral, the sudden urge of wanting to cry became overwhelming for Umeko, but she was trying her hardest not to let her emotions get the best of her while Miyu mourned for the fallen Rainbow Hashira/adopted mother.

Years later, Miyu eventually ranked up as the new Rainbow Hashira. She then thought that it was time for Umeko to finally learn about becoming a demon slayer, but seeing that her sister was very indecisive, Miyu only smiled in amusement before grabbing a gold coin and handing it to her, saying that it should help make decisions. Flipping the coin, Umeko saw that it landed on heads, meaning she's allowed to become her own sister's first Tsuguko.

Umeko was having a little trouble with mastering Rainbow Breathing, but then remembered how she was observing Sorairo and her fighting style. Miyu would watch from the porch as she observed her sister's training sessions, which made her have doubts that she'd be able to have great potential in master this technique. A few months later, Umeko eventually completed all of her training and was sent off to Final Selection.

Umeko was having difficulty with using Rainbow Breathing against some demons, but managed to make it through the test and got the hang of it. She then flipped her coin to see what motivations she'd planned, a little intrigued about what she wanted to do. When she got the coin, it landed on tails, which means that she's gonna have to help with Miyu cope with the loss of their fallen mother and former master.
