Beauty of Colors #1: tea in a violet night sky.

It's already 5:30 in the afternoon when I decided to go to a milk tea shop, bringing my personalized violet tea tumbler.

It is my routine every Saturday, I ordered large Okinawa milk tea, and then I gave my tumbler so they could put the tea there. When I left the shop, I was very happy to see that the clouds gradually turning violet.

I stood near the seaside so I could observe how it became purple. I looked at my violet tumbler, and I just smiled. Sobrang stressful nang nangyari sa buong isang linggo ko, kaya every time na naabutan ko 'yung violet night sky it makes me feel so happy, plus with my favorite milk tea. Nakaka-chill lang, pampawala ng stress.

Suddenly, someone sits beside me. "Lagi kitang nakikita dito." He said.

I was shocked nang makita ko siya sa tabi ko ngayon, I didn't expect it. Masyadong matagal siyang nawala.. but deep inside there's something in me na gustong mag-stay lang siya.

"Pa..." mahinang sambit ko.

"Violet, isn't beautiful?" He looked at me smiling.

That's the first time, wow. Eversince na nawala siya, never ko pa siyang nakikitang ngumiti sa akin.

Bakit biglaan? Why here? Why now?

I sip at my milk tea, and smile, "It is."

Nagkaroon ng katahimikan sa pagitan naming dalawa, I wanted him to know my feelings. Hindi ko alam kung paano sisimulan, bigla-bigla nalang kasi siyang darating nang walang pasabi. But, I don't know. Hindi ko magawang magalit, masakit, oo. But, still. He's my father.

I cleared my throat to break the silence.

"Pa, alam mo ba kung bakit violet ang favorite color ko?" I asked him.

He just looked at me, mukhang hinihintay niya akong magsalita ulit. I looked in the sky, nagiging violet na siya. I smiled.

"Violet seems so close to my heart. Maybe people can say that violet is a sad color that symbolizes, sorrow, sadness, or any negativity. But when I looked at the color violet... I see faith and true love," I stopped and look at him.

"Even there's a touch of darkness in it, it shines uniquely. It gives me chill despite the struggle that we are facing. Every time I go here, it releases my stress. Alam mo ba Pa, nung araw na nawala ka? Lagi kong iniisip na kahit masakit ngayon, darating 'yung araw na magiging masaya ulit. Kahit na nasaktan mo kami, darating 'yung araw na babalik ka at mananatili na muli. Mahal mo kami 'di ba?" I looked at him and smile.

Nilalaro-laro ko 'yung milk tea ko ngayon, hindi ko na alam. Hindi naman siya nagsasalita, ako lang ba talaga 'yung naga-assume na magiging okay pa? Is it wrong to desire to have a complete family?

I sigh, "Anyways, for me, you're my own violet. You will always have a special place in my heart—"

"Can you... stay with me already?" My voice cracked.

He hugged me, kaya 'yung luha na pinipigilan ko kanina tuluyan nang bumagsak.

He wiped my tears and say, "I will, Anak. I'm sorry."

He smiled at me while raising his tea.

"Tea in a violet night sky?"

I smiled. "Yes, please!"
