stage fright

when I stand in front of a class,

I feel my breathing increase,

and my body begins to shake,

in that effect,

I dig my nails into the palms of my hands,

I start to talk faster,

and I can feel myself start to stutter.

that's when I hate myself,

I can feel eyes on me as I slowly fall apart,

as I give a stupid speech on the topic that I was given,

I don't dare look at the people in front of me,

instead, I push every emotion down,

and stare at the wall.

and pray that it will be over soon.
