I saw the pain in your eyes,
I even heard your cries,
I saw through your lies,
But I didn't know you wanted to die.
I see you, in the mirror,
Your eyes are full of fear.
I watched you shed those tears.
But none of this is clear.
I should've saved you,
I should've helped you through,
All that pain and suffering,
That the world has thrown at you.
I should've saved you,
I should've held you in my arms,
And tell you that it was going to be okay,
And that you were going to make it out of that hell.
I should've saved me,
From all the damage I've caused to myself,
But I couldn't do anything because I was scared to leave the shell,
Of which I created to protect myself from getting hurt,
But in the process, I got hurt.
I should've done something,
I should've screamed for help.
I should've saved myself.
