heat flashes

2:59 almost 3:00 AM,
My throat is dry,
And it feels like my body is trying to gasp for air,
I toss and turn,
Hoping to try and sleep,
It doesn't work though,
My body was screaming,
Heat radiated off of me,
Even though,
I was covered by a thin blanket and sheets,
My body was in pure agonizing heat.
I get up,
Walk to the bathroom,
I use the restroom,
After that,
I stand in front of the sink,
I turn on the cold water,
And put both of my hands under it,
I then douse myself in cold water.
In hopes to cool down.
After that,
I go back to bed.
Facing the defying night,
As I try to get some more sleep.
