24.

They were amazed at the way this pianist's slender fingers neatly pressed each-every keys of piano for a beautiful melody he intended, that is famed among his shows. The soft, heart fluttering song into the moonlit late scented, evening. They just forgot the world for a time.
Seokjin's eyes were on every small movement of Soobin, The way his shoulders tensed and relieved in every keys he strung, the whole concentration and passion drowning him.

Seokjin melted along with everyone enjoying this equivalent piece of a pure heaven. He still couldn't take his eyes off this man who had his back shown to him, nonetheless holding the attention of Seokjin. A smile of amused, was displayed as he saw him, but his eyes lingered on his husband as well who was quite entertained by it too. His one foot tapping the floor and hands folded.

They all clapped as soon he finished it, turning around to the sound of soft claps and nodded his head, his hands rubbing on his own thighs.
“Oh wonderful!” Jimin exclaimed. His brows raised, “You indeed must be having a housefull shows for a brilliant reason.” he added, but the eyes at his moon, Namjoon. Indeed when he praised somebody then that man must be outstanding. Namjoon holds the taste.

“Wah! that was lovely!” Said Seokjin, his eyes crinkling in an utter respect derived with an eagerness and a heart flick to be able to learn from a famed man.

“Umhm~ I must say, this piano has touched the gold.” Taehyung commented as well, walking close to him, “you are a man of talent, more amazes me for how young you look for the talent you hold and success you achieved.” Though Tae had never even seen glance of any tickets of this man's shows yet he spoke highly for this guy was in touch with Namjoon. If Joon stated then it's it.

Seokjin nodded, totally agreeing the words of his Taehyung.

Namjoon listening to them from behind, took steps to them, saying, “Recommending him, getting him here was the best thing I must did. A  very tight schedule he is yet having him was easy task for me for he is good friend of mine. I knew he had to run for here. Isn't it Choi Soobin?” Namjoon said, to what Soobin smiled, his lips dropping swiftly after, his shoulders curling into small a man-child form.

“He's here for Seokjin sure, but for me as well.” Namjoon sly smirked, staring at the piano teacher who gave him a glance but then turning away his eyes back to look at his long fingers sliding through the piano keys.

“For you, hyung?” Taehyung asked, his tongue gliding into corner of inside cheek, feeling a bit odd later to ask it in a sudden for it might be Namjoon and Soobin's some personal matter.

“Umhm~ for he would provide us free shows! I could enjoy his show only for mere few times, he's tickets sell like hot cakes, hard to put hands.” He chuckled with everyone tittered. “He is so busy and always out of my reach, but I got my hands on him, finally.”
They were just watching a tall man talking with taller one who barely gave answers, neither words nor nods.

Soobin gulped and fixed his shirt after standing from the stool. “Our classes shall start from tomorrow at nine in the morning, Seokjin-ssi. Good night everyone.” He didn't had a particular style or an act of gratitude to accept the compliment—quite stone he was. Seokjin nodded his head, getting a feeling of nervousness already as his own skills of piano rung in his head, sounding horrible!

He paused. “I shall walk to my room for some sleep. And thank you to all for your praises, I must say.” Finally something he got to say. And there he walk past everyone, left. They gathered into one watched him trudging away, as if they were scattered alone and this man took away all crowd with him.

“The way he took our words, so cold.”  Jimin inhumorly chuckled, speaking it softly. “No fluster, no humble. If Seokjin in his shoes, by now he would melt to floor.” Taehyung chuckled.

Older looked at Seokjin, the one who couldn't say a word for the way he felt for this new man here. He never met a man with such a small vocabulary and icy attitude. Though he would say this to Taehyung as well who was once callous man in the beginning himself, but not in such a way that it brings a cyborg feeling rather than a human standing in front of him.
A man all the time surrounded with crowds holding their admiration, should have some warmth to attract this many. So how did he when he's  just like a wind passing by.

What is he?

Seokjin

Seokjin

“Seokjin.” Said name flinched as his husband called him. “What are you thinking? I called you so many times.” He asked, as he saw how younger was lost, staring at the doorway.

“Nothing” He toyed with his fingers. “Just nervous for the class tomorrow. He looks strict and very professional. I don't want to upset him in any way.”

“You're cute.” Taehyung adored. “He won't be upset with you for any reason. Just follow his lessons, okay.” Seokjin nodded, his eyes again drawing to the door from where that man just exited. He sighed.

“Hey, Seokjin.” This time Namjoon called. “Don't be nervous. I've seen him tutoring someone before, he might be stern but not harsh strict. He would praise you and take your doubts and slow speed very patiently.” Seokjin could feel comfort and so he smiled.

“Hey.” Seokjin greeted timidly to his teacher, sitting near window in the piano room. Seokjin's smile dropped and he nodded when he was given a cold reply.

“Good morning.” Soobin said and looked around. "Did you came early, or I am late?”
“I came early.” answered Seokjin. His eyes lightened up as Soobin sat beside him, opening the lid of piano and ran his fingers over it, trying to play random tune. He loved the way how keys were buttery smooth and echoed in soft morning air. Seokjin could see his own excitement as it was his first day.
“Seems like beside you nobody played this piano before?” He asked on which Seokjin nodded. “Yes, nobody knows to play, except me. But occasionally, professionals are called if any event held.” Jin said.

“Well then you've raised your own hand for it, then play it for me.” he  folded his hands. Seokjin gulped, nervously brushing his off his fringes. “Okay.” He tapped his fingers on keys, trying to memorize all key's track line, before playing it. As he was a bit by bit confident that he won't mess up. He started playing.

Well, the melody was short.

“I still have to add more in it, unsure of it before.” things got awkward for himself, as he got no atmosphere in return. “This melody is loved by my husband and Jimin as well.” Seokjin peppered.

Soobin inhaled. "Your husband or Jimin, both don't know to play it. Do they?” Jin shook his head. “They both don't know to even press a single key.”  Seokjin gave a bit detailed answer.

“Indeed among the blind, one eyed is a king.” Choi Soobin bluntly said. Seokjin's lips puckered, his eyebrows hanging down.

Soobin looked at long face of Seokjin “Did my words upset you, student?” he asked not in any different tone to add.

“No, not that much. Just I didn't expected such reply.” He was little upset and now was more held back as he was spending time with his new teacher; he saw him becoming more cold with sharp replies. A fear of making mistakes rose in him as he is scared of upsetting, harsh remarks.

I'll try my best.

“Let's start with basic beginning, shall we?”

“Yes.”

“Hm, before we begin. I tend to encroach some rules which as a student you need to have to follow.”

“Okay.”

“You shouldn't speak of anything but our lessons. Don't fool around or try to be irrelevant. Must practice the lessons even on the rare day when I'm not able to teach you for any reason. I don't like loud people, if you are one then learn to seal mouth. Have any doubts then ask me only when we are in class, not at the any other times. Got it?” Seokjin's large eyes puckered at him.

“They are so many!” Jin murmured.

“I didn't hear you.”

“Yes, I got it.”
.
.
.

“Ugh, he was so strict. I didn't see this coming. I know he is reserved but criticising a beginner, is a discouragement. Scolding me for just pressing a wrong key once was too harsh!” Seokjin's pout grew bigger with all words he threw. As soon his classes were done, he dashed into Jimin's room because his lips were sealed tight for whole two hours as if he was in a sort of boarding school.

“What were you expecting from him?” Jimin asked.
“Well I wasn't expecting anything. I just wanted to feel less pressured and more fun with learning.”

Jimin chuckled as he gave this cute man a hot milk tea. “You had found your dear things way too easy, honey so something had to go south.” Jimin said.

“You're right.” Younger nodded.

“Just be obedient, follow him.”

“But there are rules beyond hundreds! As I would do something, he would bring a rule against it.” he huffed.
“If I say my way then rules are to break.” Jimin winked. “If me, I won't take so many of his rules to follow.” He scoffed as he added.

Few days later.

“Can I ask you something?” Seokjin broke the silence. His feet tapping in a small hindrance in his concentration.
“Press the F1 key for I said and don't speak nonsense.” Soobin's lips didn't exercised much more to the words he speak, They open in small with completely ignoring question of Jin.

“From where did you learn piano?” Seokjin was about to use Jimin's idea that was given few days ago to break some rules to get things friendly, besides this discomfort of unfriendly  was heavy.

Taehyung is been be busy these days. He shows home late, more after the midnight, leaves in early faint first sunlight. Seokjin can't even kiss him in the mornings for a lovely start of his day for Taehyung rushes out for work and when he arrives, Seokjin is fast asleep.

Taehyung had informed him beforehand that he'd be a busy bee the coming days and he shouldn't expect any kind of sulk from Seokjin. He promised he'll make up the days as soon his business are done.

Seokjin was bored, he wanted to get some fanciness in paintings but his all imagination, art ideas already on the papers. He couldn't find something new to tingle his interest. Piano is the only a good road, but this driver was more dryer than winter leaves. Soobin's face and attitude seemed as it can be a reason if ever seokjin starts to feel off from this hobby of learning this dearly instrument.

So, he is befriending this man who he has to see for three months by using the rule breaker method like a naughty student does, but after letting days go of this classes smoothly, contemplating whether this was good idea or not.

They can't pass them by this awkward atmosphere, this frustrating strictness. So, instead Seokjin would try to get some sunshine out of this man. He'll follow the mischievous idea from Jimin.

“English man taught me.” Soobin answered. Seokjin nodded it brought some mood to him.

“Was he strict like you?” Younger was little blunt here, which soon he regretted—
“He would beat me on knuckles if I made any mistake.” Soobin glared at Seokjin who suddenly played a wrong key.

“You'd be the same?” Seokjin blinked his eyes.

“Depends on how silly you are to be.” Teacher shrugged his shoulders. “Like now, you are asking me some questions that aren't from the lessons. Breaking the rule.”

“How did you meet Namjoon sir?” Seokjin was just a curious little boy. “He praises you alot! Often talks about how good it is to be able to know you. Do you feel the same with him?” he went as if they became friends who share cake with same fork.

Soobin dropped his hand that was writing some notes regarding the piano lessons and looked at Seokjin blankly. Those eyes were round and good shaped but no shimmer of natural light.

Seokjin puckered his lips at how long he kept talking. He let his brows kneet as no words came from teacher.  “Soobin-ssi, why can't we be friends?” Seokjin dropped his timid attitude and asked straight forward. “Aren't you tired of being so cold? Why it should be like this?” Seokjin raised his brows when a long unexpected stare was given.

“I am happen to be this way, spouse of Mr Kim. I am no friends of anybody. Want to learn piano? Stick to the rules, need to buzz for fun? Get out of my sight!” Seokjin wide-eyed, it stung him.

Seokjin's mouth sunk into small. “I  just want to be friends with you.” He still had to state himself.

Soobin took a big sigh. “Get back to your room. The class is over.” His lips for some reason twitched.

Seokjin's eyes widened. “Wait, don't be angry!” he jolted. “My apologies, I won't talk anymore. Don't cancel me.”  He couldn't see his classes getting over.

“I'm not in mood right now. Go back and come tomorrow. When you're out of your dilly-dally attitude and serious to learn from me.”

Seokjin sighed in relief and with guilt too. He felt relieved that class was canceled just for today and guilt for having his teacher angry. ‘Bad idea to use follow Jimin.’ He shook his head and vanished out of room towards his brother-in-law's room but halt as he realized that Jimin is in his university, busy these days for coming exams. Seokjin groaned in this loneliness.

“Seokjin-ssi.” he turned around to see Namjoon downstairs, looking at him.

“Yes, Namjoon sir?” he walked down.

“My apologies, for being a big ears, I just came to see if things are doing good.” he chuckled. “I happened to hear Soobin getting upset by you?”

“Ah,” Seokjin scratched his chin in embarrassment, “I was being childish.” he truthfully said.

“Hmm, he is that way. Soobin. He can't make friends.” Seokjin stared at him, who always shows that he is one step forward in knowing a secluded, frosty Soobin.

“Then how he became friend with you?” Younger asked directly. Namjoon's lips twitched the same way of Soobin's. His brows raised a bit.

“Curious man you are, aren't you?” Seokjin winced as he realized himself being one what Namjoon addressed, “Well, I came to him the time when he needed someone. Feeling to he went against his principal and relied on me. Then we got comfortable.” Old Kim nodded. “Don't try to hard to befriend him. He can't if don't want to and nobody can change him. To add he's a very good teacher, take use of him, before you make him upset and get him running away. He has done that before.” Seokjin nodded like he was taught a good lesson. It just worried  him as he understood that his behavior earlier might make him lose a remarkable teacher.
“I'll remember that, thank you.” Jin smiled and brisked to his own room.

We got comfortable...

this words revolved around him, for no important reason.

‘I feel there is something between Soobin-ssi and Namjoon sir.’ he talked to himself. ‘The man who is unexceptionally cold, melted himself to be with humble natured Namjoon sir. This can be because they felt comfortable in some way.’ he nodded.

‘But, if they share something, then why Soobin have this trivial yet visible shake of discomfort when they happen to make any contact?—and to begin with, is this all even happening or I am making things to entertain my doldrum.’
