(Y/n)'s POV
"Father I'm home!" I screamed as I entered my little cottage.

"Ah welcome home my daughter." My father entered the room and gave me a hug.

"Let me guess. You went to visit Mr. Fred's library again." He said with 'as a matter of factly' look.

"Of course! My book was almost overdue!" I said.

My father chuckled as he walked to his work table.

"Where is JJ? Asleep?" I asked as I sat down on one of our couches.

"Yep. The girl tired herself out." Father answered, smiling as he closed one of his suitcases.

"How long will you be away?" I asked sadly.

Father smiled as he came up to me and gave me a hug. "I'll only be gone for a week (Y/n). Take care of yourself and little JJ. Alright?" He said.

"Alright father." I responded as I returned the hug.

"Hi sister!" A little girl's voice called. I turned around and was embraced in a hug from my little sister, JJ.

She wore her usual outfit which consists of a dress with light blue and lilac stripes with two white buttons for the top and a light blue bottom of the dress with blue and lilac colored balloons. She wore a light blue and lilac striped colored propeller hat over her long brunette hair.

"Hey there squirt!" I said, ruffling her hair.

"Hi daddy!" She said as she let go of me and ran to father.

"Hey there my little JJ!" He said as the seven year old jumped into his arms an he spun her around, JJ giggling all the while. "Wow my baby girl is getting big now!" Father said as he set JJ back on the ground.

"I'm a big girl now daddy! I'm not a baby anymore!" JJ said happily as she smiled.

JJ's smile faded as she saw all of father's luggage on his work table. She then hugged father as tears started to build up on her face. My father hugged back, stroking JJ's hair.

"Hey come on now don't cry." Father said as he looked at JJ in the eye. "Maybe when I come home I could bring you and your sister a little something. Okay?" He said.

"Okay." JJ said, slightly smiling.

"Take care father!" I shouted as I waved my father goodbye with JJ ridding on my shoulders.

"Bye bye daddy!" JJ screamed as she waved as well.

"Take care my daughters! I'll be home before you know it!" He shouted back as he rode our horse, Ben, into the forest.

We watch as father's figure grew smaller and smaller until his figure had disappeared into the distance.
