(3rd Person POV)

After Weiss, Lazarus, Yang and Cassandra reunited with Team RNJR and Cassie, they were sitting around a table eating dinner while laughing an telling stories of their adventures.

Yang: *laughing* "How did you lose your map at a time like that?"

Jaune: "Believe me, I've asked myself the same thing ever since." He replied as Yang, Weiss, Cassandra, Cassie and Ruby laughed while Lazarus smiled and shook his head. Jaune smiled as well and laughed lightly.

Nora: "Hey, but you made up for it, Mr. Muscles! You shoulda seen this guy take on a giant Grimm head on!"

Jaune: "I wouldn't have done it without Ruby wearing it down."

Ruby: "Uh, me? Did you see Cassie and Ren during that fight!? THEY WERE OUT OF CONTROL!"

Cassie: "Oh stop it... It wasn't much." She blushed looking away.

Ruby: "Wasn't MUCH!? YOU WERE AWESOME! That new power of yours TOTALLY saved our butts!" Cassie just looked at her, giggling nervously while scratching the back of her head.

Cassie: "Stop...! you're embarrassing me..." she unfolded her wings and covered her face with them, causing Cassandra to giggle at her.

Ren: "And, I'm sorry, I... may have lost my temper momentarily."

Ruby: "No, no! Out of control as in 'awesome;!"

Ren: "Ooohhh... Thank you."

Everyone laughed at his response before Yang turned to Cassie.

Yang: "So Cass, what's this 'new power' of yours?"

Cassie: "O-Oh... Um... Well... I don't really know... ehehe" she rubbed the back of her head nervously. "But I think it's the same one I somehow used when I fought against my brother in the tournament?"

Weiss: "What? You managed to activate that power again?"

Cassie: "Y-Yeah..." she said embarrassingly.

Lazarus: "Wow..." she looked at Lazarus. "With that kind of power, I'm starting to re-think who's the leader here." He said smirking at her, causing her eyes to widen and for her to look away, while blushing.

Cassie: "S-Shut up, dork..."

Everyone began laughing at her reaction, causing her tails to wag and for her to blush even more.

Nora: "WAIT!" everyone paused and looked at her. "Lazarus is LAUGHING!?" they all looked at him, as Weiss just began giggling while Lazarus rolled his eyes.

Lazarus: "Am I not allowed to laugh?"

Nora: "I-It's just, I've NEVER seen you laugh in Beacon!"

Lazarus: "Well people change Nora, like this one over here." He said while putting his arm around Weiss's shoulder, causing her to yelp in surprise. "You should have seen her when I got up to Atlas. She nearly made-"

Weiss: "LAZ STOP!!!" she yelled as her face became beet red in embarrassment.

Lazarus: "Oh don't worry dear Snowflake. I'm not telling them." He smiled innocently at her before kissing her cheek, causing steam to puff out of her ears.

Weiss: "Y-You DUNCE!!!" everyone began laughing at her reaction while Weiss pouted and sighed before she hid her face in her Lazarus' chest. "I hate you."

Lazarus: "I love you too."

Later, Weiss began telling everyone how she managed to summon a Boarbatusk in the middle of the fundraiser party her family held.

Ruby: "*gasp* You did NOT!"

Weiss: "Yeah... Right, in the middle of the party." She said, hiding her head in Lazarus' arm as he chuckled

Lazarus: "Yeah, I saw it with my own two eyes."

Weiss: "Wait!" she quickly looked up at him, shocked. "You were there!?"

Lazarus: "Yeah. It was quite an impressive display, thought I didn't think you could get that mad at anyone who isn't me or Ruby." Weiss blushed and looked away, however Lazarus when to whisper in her ear. "Though if you don't mind, later I'd like you to tell me about that... Zeke person."

Weiss: *whispering* "You saw him too?" she asked as she held out her arm for him to bite into when noticing his eyes turning red.

Lazarus: *whispering* "I did... and he's really suspicious..." He responded before gently biting into Weiss' arm to take some of her blood before removing it shortly after.

Weiss: *whispering* "Creepy and weird too... Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that..." she sighed before turning back to everyone to continue the conversation.

Yang: "Please tell me you let that lady have it."

Weiss: "Of course not! Even if I really wanted too..." she said slightly regretfully as Lazarus pets her head, causing her to blush slightly.

Nora: "No way, I don't believe it!" she said crossing her arms, however Weiss immediately summoned a Boarbatusk next to Nora. It growled at her before she freaked the hell out "AHHH!"

Everyone erupted in laughter from the comedic display.

Next thing, Yang was showing off her robotic arm.

Yang: "It's not a replacement for the real thing, but I'll make sure to make good use of it."

Jaune: "That's amazing..."

Ren: "Incredible."

Cassie: "Wow... if you weren't cool enough Goldilocks, you're definitely cool now."

Yang: "Hehehe, why thank you Cass."

Ruby: "And it's just as strong?" she asked as she sped over to her sister and touched her robotic arm

Yang: "Hmm, sure is. Just ask Cherry Top over here." She winked at Cassandra who giggled and blew a kiss at her. Suddenly, a bang on the table caught everyone's attention.

Nora: "Wanna bet?" she asked grinning with her arm out on the table ready to wrestle.

Weiss: "Nora, please, now's not the-" Completely ignoring Weiss, Yang and Nora began to arm wrestle while Jaune and Ren cheered for Nora and Ruby, Cassandra and Cassie cheered for Yang.

Lazarus: "And... seems like they don't care." He said sliding over to his girlfriend who sigh.

Weiss: "How have we've been friends for this long?"

Ren: "Come on! You can do this!"

Jaune: "Don't let him beat you! You can do this!"

Cassie: "You can do it Yang!"

Cassandra telepathically: "Show her who's boss Sunshine!!"

Ruby: "Come on Yang! You can't lose to a girl in a skirt!"

Weiss: "You wear a skirt Ruby."

Lazarus: "I thought it was called a 'Combat Skirt', Ms. Ex-Heiress?" he smirked at her, causing her to blush and look away while smiling.

Weiss: "Dolt."

Ruby: "Weiss, Laz, you're not cheering loud enough!!!" she sped over to them and shook them both, causing Weiss to frown and Lazarus to shake his head.

Lazarus: "You've got the touch Yang!"

(A/N: "Transformers Reference???")

Nora: "It definitely feels like the original, I'll give you that!"

Yang: "Yep. But, it does have some new features!"

Nora: "Heh, oh yeah?" Just as she said that, a sound came from Yang's arm before suddenly, Nora was flung back into the wall while holding Yang's now detached arm. Nora groaned in pain as everyone looked at her in concern, except for Yang and Cassandra who were smiling smugly.

Jaune: "Did she... win?"

Immediately as Nora came to, she looked at the hand that was holding Yang's arm, before she yelled, terrified, while throwing it away. Yang and Cassandra burst out in laughter, the former catching her arm before they two gave each other a high five.

Cassie: "Wait, what are those on your arms Cassandra?" she asked as everyone looked at Cassandra, more specifically her weapons which were in their compact form on her arms.

Cassandra telepathically: "Oh. My new weapons!" she smiled happily as she activated Sonne and Mond, putting them in their blade forms while everyone besides Yang, Weiss and Lazarus looked at them in awe.

Nora: "Ooohhh!"

Ren: "Those came from Atlas as well?" he asked, causing Cassandra to nod in response.

Jaune: "Wow..." however, Ruby immediately sped up to her.

Ruby: *GASP* "Oh my Oum! Those are so cool!!!" she began to weapon geek-out over Sonne and Mond, causing Cassandra to giggle.

Lazarus: "I guess on the topic of new things, I'm liking that new hair style, Cassie." He complimented her.

Yang: "Yeah. Long hair actually suits you a lot."

Cassie: "Hehehe..." she blushed and played with her hair nervously. "Thanks guys..."

Ruby: "But besides that, Cassandra's outfit looks AWESOME!!!" everyone looked at Cassandra in her new outfit.

Yang: "Awesome is not the only thing she looks like." She said, smirking at Cassandra while winking, causing her to blush and look away.

Ren: "An interesting choice, but it suits you."

Nora: "Yeah! You look just like your sister!" Immediately as Nora said this, Cassandra frowned and looked down, remembering how she created this outfit to remember Pyrrha. Nora immediately noticed this and her smile faded away. "Oh... too soon?"

Cassie: "I... think so..."

Cassandra sighed and shook her head before she looked at Jaune, who seemed to have realized who she looked like.

Cassandra telepathically: "Sorry I remind you of her..."

Jaune: "Don't be." Cassandra looked at him, confused. "I'm just happy that you went out of your way to keep her in your memories." He smiled at her, causing Cassandra to smile back and nod.

Jaune was taking the some of the dishes to the kitchen as everyone continued to talk.

Jaune: "Gyah... We ate it all... ugh, I think I'm going to be sick..."

Yang: "Easy there Vomit Boy, I believe in you."

Jaune: "Ooh, we're doing nickname throwbacks now. Wonderful..."

Weiss began giggling.

Nora: "I mean, the Ice Queen seems to like it." Weiss immediately looked at her as Ruby and Cassandra burst out in laughter. Weiss just smiled and rolled her eyes.

Weiss: "I so did not miss you people."

Nora: "Oh my gosh, she really DOES like it! What went and warmed your heart while you were gone?"

Weiss: "Hey! You make it sound like I used to be terrible!"

Lazarus: "Eh... I wouldn't say terrible."

Yang: "Yeah. Just a lot to deal with at once."

Weiss pouted at Yang who stuck her tongue out in response.

Ren: "It's been a long time. We've all grown in our own ways."

Ruby: "You really think so?"

Ren: "Well, think back to when we were all at Beacon, would you say you ever did anything foolish or embarrassing? Or do you think you were perfect?"

Lazarus just eyed Weiss as she buried her face into her hands.

Weiss: "Oh gosh..."

Lazarus: "Yup..."

Yang: "I... may have been a little too gung ho from time to time."

Cassandra just giggles nervously while scratching the back of her head, remembering how overly aggressive she was back then.

Ruby: "Heh, you? I tried to 1v1 a Nevermore on the second day of school."

Jaune: "Yeah, well... don't even get me started."

Cassie: "Yeah, but you nailed that dress though."

Jaune: "We DO NOT talk about that!" he yelled, causing her to giggle.

Ren: "Well, that embarrassment, that desire to go back and tell yourself not to be so stupid, that just proves you're not the same person you used to be. You're smarter, or kinder, stronger, and you're not done growing yet. None of us are."

There was a brief silence...

Ruby: "...Yeah, turns out Ren gets real deep when he feels like talking."

Everyone chuckled until Nora piped up.

Nora: "Well hold on! I thought I was pretty great in school!"

Cassie: "Oh no... here we go again..." she sighed

Yang: "Even at the dance? When you spilled punch all over yourself in front of-"

Nora: "YES, ESPECIALLY THE DANCE! THANK YOU YANG!" she yelled as she zipped over to Yang, her scroll playing the song 'Shine'.

Qrow: "How can nine kids possibly make so much noise eating dinner!?" they looked over to see Qrow and Oscar standing in the doorway. Nora just stopped the music from her scroll as Oscar chuckled a bit.

CHAPTER 9: DEFLOWERING

(3rd Person POV)

After everyone had caught up, they all met in the living room, where Ozpin had informed Yang, Lazarus, Cassandra and Weiss in on everything that was happening.

Weiss: "So, the Maidens. Magic. Salem. The Guardian Beasts. It's all true?" she was sitting next to Lazarus, had his thumbs pressed up against the inner areas of his nose as he hung his head, trying to process the information. She looked at him concerned and rubbed his back.

Ozpin: "Yes. Ms. Xiao Long, is this more or less what your mother told you?"

Yang stayed quiet with her arms crossed, as Cassandra silently growled before sighing and hanging her head.

Weiss: "For the most part."

Yang: "You forgot something. You forgot to tell everyone what you did to Qrow and my mother."

Ruby gasped as Cassie raised an eyebrow.

Jaune: "What is she talking about?"

Qrow: "Oh, great..."

Ozpin: "Hmm, that's not a secret I thought she would give up so easily... Your mother must trust you a great deal." Yang just scowled at him. Ozpin sighed. "My ability to reincarnate, though a curse, isn't without a few key benefits. Much like the Maidens, and Guardian Beasts, I too possess a certain... magical power. Using this power, I was able to gift the Branwen twins the ability to see more, to move more freely and be unburdened by their natural bodies. I... well... gave them the ability to turn into birds. Rather ridiculous sounding out loud, isn't it?"

Oscar telepathically: "Wait... what?"

Ruby: "Uncle?"

Ren: "You turned them... into birds."

Nora: "Alright, now you're just messing with us."

Jaune: "What else is new?" he said in a passive-aggressive tone.

Lazarus: "But he's not..." he said quietly, as everyone looked at Lazarus. "We saw my Aunt... change right in front of us." Weiss just kept rubbing his back before she whispered into his ear.

Weiss: *whispering* "Are you okay...?"

Lazarus: *whispering*"It's just a lot to take in... I'll be fine later on."

Yang: "Why would you do something like that? I mean, what's wrong with you??" she asked, slightly angered

Qrow: "Yang, that's enough. We made choice. We wanted this."

Ozpin: *to Qrow* "May I?" Qrow nodded at him, causing Ozpin to turn to Yang. "Granting this power to them was no trivial task and I can assure you it was not done frivolously. I required assistance in gathering information on Salem's plans, as well as searching for Maidens when their hosts became unclear and when searching for the Hybrids."

Ruby: "Okay, so, have you done this with others? Like General Ironwood? Or Professor Goodwitch?"

Ozpin: "As helpful as that might be, unfortunately, it is not that simple. My power is finite, and if I'm being honest, dwindling. The amount that I gifted to Qrow and Raven was, all things considered, rather miniscule. You see, centuries ago, I sacrificed a great deal of magic to four young women, who I hoped would use my gift for good. Then later on, I'd sacrifice more of my magic to four young people while the Original Guardian Beasts contributed their remaining magic so these four people may use their powers for protecting each Maiden and all of Remnant, as the New Guardians."

Cassie: They were the first Maidens and Hybrids... right?"

Ozpin: "Correct Ms. Ghidra. And as I said before, four of the Guardian Beasts correspond to the four maidens; Iris-Fall. Battra-Winter. Mothra-Spring and King Ghidorah-Summer. And each of them share some of the magic the Maidens have."

(DISCLAIMER: I know Godzilla used to be the Winter Maiden's Guardian But For the Story, I changed for Battra to be the Winter Maiden Guardian instead. In he previous chapters, I changed that as well. So yeah.)

Weiss: "Well, what about Godzilla?"

Ozpin: "Godzilla is a special case. Since he wasn't a part of the original four, he wasn't assigned to any of the Maidens, however, there is a special 'Void Type' resonates with him.

Cassie: "Void... Type?"

Ozpin: "Yes, however, I am not too sure about it. All I know is Godzilla's spirit holds some unknown power." He said looking at Lazarus before looking at Yang. "Ms. Xiao Long, it was never my intention to lie to you, to any of you. There are just some matters that I prefer to... play close to the chest. I believe that's how you phrased it?"

Qrow: "Heh, yeah."

Ozpin: "Everyone has a choice. The Branwens chose to accept their powers and the responsibilities that came with them. And later, one of them chose to abandon her duties in favor of her own self interest. Now, all of you have a choice. If anyone wishes to leave, now is the time. There's no shame or disgrace in abstaining, only in retreat."

Everyone went silent as they looked at each other.

Lazarus: "I... feel disappointed to have this kept from us from the instant we enrolled into Beacon..." he started off with as he looked at Ozpin. "But I understand the feeling of wanting to keep something to yourself and yourself only. So I will give you another chance, Ozpin, so long as Weiss does so." He said as he looked at her.

Weiss: "I will give him another chance." She said, looking at him. Lazarus nodded.

Lazarus: "Then I'm staying. Not for you, but for those dear to me." He said as he looked at his teammates, Ruby and Weiss, who all smiled. He was about to look at Yang as well, before she suddenly stood up.

Ruby: "Yang?"

Yang: "If Ruby, Cassandra and Laz stick around, then I will too. If there's one thing I know about them, it's that they somehow always knows the right thing to do." She smiled at Ruby, Cassandra and Lazarus, who all returned it" "But, if we're going to help, if we're going to keep risking our lives, no more lies, no more half truths."

Ozpin pondered on Yang's words before smiling

Ozpin: "Understood."

Yang nodded before sitting back down.

Jaune: "So... what now? I mean, what can we do?"

Ozpin: "Mm, that is a difficult question; one that I believe is best answered tomorrow."

Jaune: "What do you mean?"

Ozpin: "The road ahead is undoubtedly filled with hardships and peril." He said putting a hand on Yang's shoulder. "However, it's been far too long since you have all been together. Please, take tonight, enjoy the moment."

His eyes began glowing as he handed the controls back to Oscar.

Oscar: "GEH!" he yelled as he quickly took his hand off of Yang's shoulder, causing her, Weiss and Cassandra to giggle.

Nora: "Ooohhh." Everyone looked at her. "Raven!? Qrow!? THEIR BIRDS!! Cracked it!"

Cassie: "Nora... sometimes I just want to slap you..."

Ruby: "WAIT!" everyone looked at her "Can we just address the Goliath in the room!?" she yelled, causing everyone to look at Lazarus. "How ARE you alive!?"

Lazarus: "Only now you ask me that...?" He deadpans

Cassie: "Yeah! When I looked for you, all I found was your destroyed Mephiles and your left horn..." Lazarus sighed as the ring pattern on his remaining horn glowed slightly.

Lazarus: "Well... it's a long story, so here's the short version."

(Flashback-Fall of Beacon)

Adam: "You should have pulled the trigger when you had the chance. Fortunately, I'm not as soft."

Lazarus: "*grunts* ...Y-You..."

He couldn't even finish the sentence as he gagged and blood flew out of his mouth from Adam's Wilt stabbing itself through his stomach... Adam leaned in close to his ear...

Adam: "Don't worry. You're darling will soon join you in the afterlife."

He removed his blade, causing Lazarus to start stumbling forwards... Azealia was crying her heart out for her son, but Lazarus couldn't hear her... Adam wiped the blood from his blade before he began to walk away...

. . .

Lazarus: "Not yet......"Lazarus gripped Iblis tightly as blue flames suddenly erupted from its blade... Engulfing the entire thing... "I... I..."

He firmly stood his ground... before...

Lazarus: "I WON'T LET YOU HURT THEM!!!!!"

He roared as he spun around and slashed at Adam, who turned around in shock. But he didn't have time to react, as Lazarus strike made contact with him, more specifically his left arm, severing it.

Adam growled in pain as he glared daggers at Lazarus, who fell face first into a pool of his own blood... Seeing that there was no point, Adam quickly fled the area, clutching his severed left arm as blood trickled out of it.

Lazarus just laid there on the floor of the burning cafeteria within his pool of blood, as his vision slowly and slowly got worse...

Lazarus: "I... I... won't give up... until... they're safe... Until Weiss... is... safe...... That necklace... will protect her... until the end of time......"

As Lazarus laid there in a puddle of his own blood, he remembered all of the fun times he had with his friends... especially all of his times with Weiss. Suddenly Lazarus' body began to glow bright blue before discintegrating into powder, leaving his weapons and severed horn behind... He had accepted his fate... and was ready to join those in the afterlife...... before...

*ROAR!*

His eyes shot open, widened as he realized he was suddenly in a forest of some sort... It looked like a forest of Argus, judging by the snow around the place.

Lazarus: "What the...?"

Azealia telepathically: "Son!! Thank goodness you're okay!!!"

Lazarus: "Mom? How... Didn't I... die?"

Azealia telepathically: "Technically, yes... But I managed to rescue you just in time. Me and Godzilla actually."

Lazarus: "What?"

Azealia telepathically: "Yes, though it was very difficult, but we managed to transport you here so we could patch you up."Lazarus looked around the forest, before noticing two Kamas next to him, one of the was Iblis, but the other looked completely different. "I also managed to bring your weapons here. Too back, Mephiles was destroyed but in place of it, I gave you one of my scythes."

Lazarus: "I see... what happened?"Azealia proceeded to tell Lazarus the events of the Fall of Beacon, telling him what happened after he died and where all of his friends were. In the meantime, Lazarus was walking through the snowy forest. "I see... So those images were correct... Penny... Pyrrha... Olympia..."

He looked down, clenching his fists as a tear ran down his face and fell into the snow below.

Lazarus: "Mom... Where's Weiss right now?"

Azealia telepathically: "Jacques took her back to Atlas. She should be there in the Schnee manor."

Lazarus: "Then that's where we're going. I'm getting my Snowflake back." He said determined as he continued walking through the forest.

(End of Flashback)

Lazarus: "And after that, I managed to sneak onto an Atlas airship and ride it to Atlas, where I found my Snowflake over here." He said, smiling at Weiss, causing her to smile back with a blush. Everyone else however, was beyond shocked, especially Qrow.

Jaune: "You're... mom saved you??"

Cassie: "And Godzilla too..??"

Yang: "But I thought that your mom was... you know."

Lazarus: "Well... she is physically but isn't spiritually. I met her when I was in that coma after the breech in Vale. She said, because Godzilla's blood is so powerful, she's able to be with me in spirit... Speaking of..." he looked at Qrow who was still shocked. He got up and walked over to his father. "Dad... I believe there is someone who would like to speak with you."

Everyone looked at Lazarus as he closed his eyes and the ring pattern on his right horn began glowing brightly before blue particles flew from it and in front of him. The particles slowly arranged into a humanoid type shape before all of a sudden... a young woman with long white hair, bright golden eyes and two onyx color horns stood in front of everyone...

Yang: "Wait... is that..."

This... was Azealia...

(Azealia Gojira)

Azealia: "Hello... Qrow." She said, smiling sadly and sweetly at her husband, who stood in front of her in complete shock.

Qrow: "A-Azealia..."

Seeing the situation, Lazarus addressed everyone else.

Lazarus: "Let's let them have some privacy." He said as he began walking back into the other room. The others soon followed equally shocked, leaving Qrow and Azealia alone.

Cassie: "That... was your mom?"

Lazarus: "Yup... Well it's her spirit, but she can materialize herself in physical form now."

Ruby: "That's awesome..."

Weiss: "Wait, so that's why at sometimes you seemed like you were in deep thought? Because you were talking to your mom?"

Lazarus: "Yup. And boy... she told me some things that changed me back when I was in the coma... Like the fact that Qrow's my father and that I'm a triplet."

Ren: "You're a triplet??"

Lazarus: "Yes... my baby brother died shortly after birth from a heart failure... But my sister, disappeared when we were both four." Suddenly, all of Team RNJR looked nervously... "What is it?" he asked, noticing this.

Nora: "Well... Is she by chance named...... Seraphim Branwen?" this caught Lazarus, Yang, Weiss and Cassandra by surprise.

Lazarus: "Yes...? How did you-"

Cassie: "Because she attacked us!" everyone looked at Cassie. "She attacked us with that scorpion man named Tyrian, and she was the one who KILLED Olympia!" she yelled, angered and hurt.

Weiss, Yang and Cassandra's eyes widened from the shocking news.

Yang: "What!?"

Weiss looked at Lazarus, who didn't display much emotion and looked down.

Weiss: "Laz...?"

Lazarus: "..."

He remained silent before he got up and walked swiftly upstairs.

Ruby: "Laz!!" she called out to him but he was gone.

Cassie: "S-Sorry..." she looked down saddened. "I couldn't stop myself..."

Yang: "I'm sure he'll be fine..."

Weiss: "I'll go talk to him." She said as she walked up to find Lazarus.

Weiss entered the room her and Lazarus were going to stay in, only to find him sitting on the bed, his face in his hands. She frowned and closed the door behind her, before slowly approaching him.

Weiss: "Laz?" he remained quiet but looked up at her. She went over to him and sat next to him, entering a brief moment of silence, before.......

Lazarus: "So it's true..." Weiss looked at him concerned and saddened. "Seraphim... she's alive... But... she killed Olympia...? Why would she do such a thing...?"

Weiss: "Laz..." she said as she brought him into a hug. He just accepted her embrace and leaned into it, as she caressed his long pearl white hair. "Cassie's sorry... She didn't mean to say what she did."

Lazarus: "I know... Which is why I'm not upset with her... It was just... shocking I guess... To find you that your sister is with the enemy and killed one of your teammates..." he sighed and lifted up his head to look at her in the eyes. "I feel like I should know why she did it."

Weiss: "You know we'll have to fight against her if she truly is on the Salem's side..."

Lazarus: "I know... But I don't want to give up on her yet. She's family after all..." his answer cupped Weiss to smile before she cupped his cheeks.

Weiss: "That's what I expected from you, My King." Lazarus chuckled at her.

Lazarus: "Anything to make my Queen happy."

Weiss: "You dolt." She giggled
