Cassie: I already don't like you...

Blake: You're the guy from the boat...

The blonde haired, monkey tailed Faunus, hopped down from the light pole and walked towards the two girls with a bit of a smirk.

Money: Name's Sun and yes I am, kit cat.

He winked at Blake, causing her to groan but Cassie just glared at him.

Cassie: Back off, Monkey.

Sun raised her hands up in a defensive matter.

Sun: Relax! I'm kidding.

Cassie: Right...

Blake: Let's go somewhere else to rest up for the night, shall we?

Cassie: I know a place. Come on. I'm paying by the way.

Sun: Wow. Rich girl.

Cassie: Shut up or accept the offer.

CHAPTER 9: BLACK, WHITE AND GOLD

(3rd Person POV)

Blake, Cassie and Sun ended up in a rather nice looking hotel that Cassie ended up paying for. She paid for two rooms, one for Sun and one for both her and Blake.

Sun: Night Girls!

Blake and Cassie: Night Sun!

Blake and Cassie entered their room, only to be surprised of its rather grand, penthouse-like feel.

Blake: Wow...

Cassie: Wow indeed... Welp, since there's only one bed, you can have it. I'll take the couch.

Cassie began to remove her hooded cloak but Blake called out to her.

Blake: You don't have to. The bed's big enough for two people. *blushes* W-We'll just share it... Besides, we used to back then...

Cassie blushed remembering all the fun and cute times she had with Blake in her past before shaking her head and sighing.

Cassie: Fine...

Blake removed her bow, freeing her cat ears and removed her boots while Cassie removed her boots. After which, they both sat on the bed, away from each other in an awkward silence... Before Blake broke it...

Blake: Why...?

Cassie: Hmm?

Blake: Why did you follow me?

Cassie: Two reasons. 1. Knowing you, you're gonna do something reckless. I made that promise to Ghira all those years ago that I'd take care of you, and I'm still holding onto it.

Blake blushed at that comment, looping her index finger in her raven locks of hair in an embarrassed manor.

Cassie: And 2. I don't think I can look at the others in the eyes after what I did tonight...

Blake raised an eyebrow out of confusion.

Blake: What... did you do?

Cassie scoffed with a slight chuckle.

Cassie: I nearly electrocuted Weiss to death.

Blake: Oh...

They entered another awkward silence before Cassie suddenly got up.

Blake: Cassie?

Cassie: I'm... just going to use the restroom. You can go to bed.

And with that, she entered the room's bathroom. Blake watched her go before sighing sadly and lying down in the bed...

It hasn't even been 30 minutes until Blake woke up again with a sinking feeling. When she fluttered her eyes open, she looked around the dark bedroom, only to see that Cassie wasn't in the bed next to her. In fact, she was sitting in the couch, her head buried in her knees...

Blake: Cassie...?

She slowly approached the twin tailed girl, but she remained motionless... Though, what caught her attention, was the sound of sniffling...

Blake: Cassie are you okay?

She cautiously shook the "Faunus" girl, only for her to lift up her head, revealing her crimson eyes to be filled with tears...

Cassie: B-Blake... W-What are you...?

Blake: Cassie! Why are you crying???

Cassie: I... I'm not... Don't say stupid things like that...

Blake: You are! Stop lying to yourself!

Cassie fell silent as she looked down... Blake gently reached out for her, but the moment her hand made contact with her shoulder, Cassie flinched... almost as if she was afraid...

Cassie: *voice cracking* I'm sorry... Please... Please don't hate me...

Blake: What...? Why would I hate you Cassie?

There was a short silence before Cassie choked up a sentence...

Cassie: T-That night... The night I left... It haunts me to this day... I-If things had escalated further... t-then we... I'm sorry Blake... for everything I said on that night...

Blake immediately pulled Cassie into a tight embrace, causing her to flinch...

Blake: You don't have to be sorry, Cassie...

Cassie: B-But I...-

Blake: You did nothing wrong! You were right... I just saw Adam as this knight in shining armor... I thought you were just a coward... But I was wrong... I was so, so wrong... I was the coward... And I'm sorry...

Cassie: ......

Blake: When you left, I couldn't sleep comfortably knowing that you were out there somewhere... I could never stop thinking about you and everything you said... But when I saw you here at Beacon, I was so happy that you were okay... But the first look you gave me... It broke my heart... I thought you hated me...

Cassie eventually embraced Blake back, who at this point had started sobbing as well...

Cassie: I... may have held a small grudge against you Blake... But I never hated you... In all reality... I thought YOU were the one who hated me... hated me for leaving... for abandoning you... I know if I were you, I would hate me too...

Blake: Cassie... I would never hate you... I could never hate you...

Cassie: B-But I-

Blake: CASSIE!

Cassie flinched upon hearing Blake shout at her like that... They slowly broke the hug to meet each other's tearful eyes and pained expressions... Blake gently rested her palm on Cassie's cheek before closing the distance between them, capturing her lips in a sweet embrace. Cassie's eyes shot wide open as her face flushed a massive blush, but slowly she closed her eyes and accepted the kiss...

After a minute, they both pulled away, with bright red faces before Blake led Cassie back over to the bed. Before she could respond, Blake pushed Cassie onto the bed and crawled over her...

Cassie: *blushing* B-Blake...? What are you-

Blake: *blushing* Shut up... If you won't stop thinking like that, then I'll make you...

Ruby: BLAKE! CASSIE!

Yang: BLAKE! CASSIE!

Ruby: BLAKE! CASSIE! WHERE ARE YOU TWO!?

The next day, Ruby, Lazarus, Yang, and Weiss were walking through town, in search for Blake and Cassie. Cassandra suggested that her and Olympia checked another part of town since Olympia wasn't ready to confront Weiss after the previous day.

Lazarus: *sighs* I can't sense neither of their life forces...

Ruby: Weiss you're not helping!

Weiss: Oh! You know who could help? The Police!

Lazarus: Not funny Weiss...

Ruby: *crosses her arms* Ugh Weiss...

Weiss: It was just an idea!

Ruby: Yeah, a bad one.

Yang: Weiss, I think we should hear their side of the story before we jump to any conclusions.

Weiss: I-I think that when we hear it, you'll all realize I was right!

Penny: And I think Weiss' hair looks wonderful today!

Everyone turned around out of shock to see this ginger haired girl with green eyes. Ruby referred to her as...

Ruby: Ah! Penny where did you come from!?

Lazarus: Uh... And who is this Ruby?

Ruby: Oh! She's Penny! We met her yesterday. Penny, this is my big brother, Lazarus!

Penny looked at him with a smile before looking back at Ruby.

Penny: You have a cute brother, Ruby!

Ruby: H-Huh!?

Lazarus: Um... What...?

Penny: Anyways, hey guys! What are you up to?

Ruby: Uhh...

Yang: We're looking for our friends Blake and Cassie.

Penny: Ohhh, you mean the Faunus girls!

Everyone Ruby, Yang and Weiss looked at each other confused and shocked.

Ruby: Wait, how did you know Blake was a Faunus?

Penny: Uhh... the cat ears?

Yang: What cat ears? She wears a... boowoohh...

A brief silence overtook them as a tumbleweed blew past.

Ruby: She does like tuna a lot...

Yang: And Cardboard boxes...

Penny: So, where are they?

Ruby: We don't know. They've been missing since Friday.

Penny gasped in kind of a dramatic fashion before walking uncomfortably close to Ruby

Penny: That's terrible! Well, don't you worry Ruby, my friend! I won't rest until we find your teammate and friend!

Ruby: Uh... that's really nice of you Penny, but we're okay! Really! Right guys?

She looked to the others, only to see that Weiss, Yang and Lazarus was nowhere to be found... Another Tumbleweed blew past them.

Penny: It sure is windy today!

Meanwhile, Blake, Cassie and Sun were walking through another part of downtown together.

Sun: So, what's the plan now?

Blake: I still don't believe the White Fang are behind these robberies. They've never needed this much Dust before...

Cassie: Yeah... For once, I'm completely stumped...

Sun: But... what if they did?

Blake and Cassie looked at him confused.

Sun: I mean... the only way to prove that they didn't do it... is to go to the place where they would most likely go to if they were to do it... and not find it there, right?

Cassie: *rubs her chin* Hmm... You have a point there monkey do, but the problem is, we have no idea where to go.

Sun: Well, while I was on the ship, I heard some guys talking about offloading a huge shipment of Dust coming in from Atlas.

Blake: How huge?

Sun: Huge. Big Schnee Company freighter.

Blake: Are you sure?

Sun: Sure I'm sure.

Cassie: Hmm... Welp, I guess there's only one way to find out, right?

Meanwhile in another part of Vale, Weiss and Lazarus stood outside a Book shop as Yang walked out of it.

Yang: Thanks again! *sigh* This is hopeless...

Weiss she seemed to not care at all...

Yang: You really don't care if we find them, do you?

Weiss: Oh don't be stupid, of course I do. I'm just afraid of what they'll say when we find them... The innocent never run Yang

She walked away as Lazarus sighed and shook his head...

Lazarus: If only she knew the pain...

Yang patted his back and  looked at him with a sadden expression.

Yang: Come on.

It was nighttime as Blake and Cassie laid down on their stomachs on a crate, overlooking the Docks of Vale. As they did so in silence, Cassie suddenly felt the need to say something...

Cassie: Blake...

Blake looked at her, raising an eyebrow.

Blake: What is it?

Cassie: Um... About Last night...

Cassie gained a blush on her face as Blake did as well...

Cassie: I'm sorry for leaving you...

Blake: Cassie...

The twin tailed girl looked at her Cat Faunus companion.

Blake: I already told you, that you don't have to apologize. I was the one who was too blind...

Cassie looked back down, before the feeling of a hand being placed on hers made her look back at Blake who was smiling at her with a blush.

Blake: But... I am happy to see you again.

Cassie blushed madly before smiling back and intertwining her fingers with Blake's.

Cassie: Same here.

Unfortunately for the two, their moment was interrupted by Sun, who dropped down on them, holding a couple of green apples.

Sun: Did I miss anything?

Blake and Cassie quickly pulled their hands away from each other with annoyed expressions.

Blake: Not really. They've offloaded all the crates from the boat. Now they're sitting around.

Sun: Cool. I stole us some food.

Blake: Do you always break the law without a second thought?

Sun: Hey, weren't you in a cult or something?

Blake and Cassie glared at him intensely.

Cassie: I will seriously kill you.

Sun: Okay... too soon.

All of a sudden, a large gust of wind hit them as they heard loud turbine engines roaring. When they looked up, they saw Bullheads, landing in the docks. When the ramps opened, White Fang members walked out of it with their weapons.

Cassie: Crap...

Blake: No...

Sun: Is that them?

Cassie: Unfortunately...

Sun: You really didn't think they were behind it, did you?

Blake: No. I think deep down I knew... I just didn't want to be right...

??? Hey! What's the hold up!?

All three looked back down as they heard the voice; it was Roman Torchwick.

Roman: We're not exactly the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves at the moment, sooooo why don't you animals try to pick up the pace.

Cassie: Bigger Crap...

Blake: This isn't right...

Blake and Cassie stood up, the former unsheathing her Gambol Shroud and held it tightly.

Blake: The White Fang would never work with a human... Especially not one like that.

Blake jumped down and began speeding towards Roman.

Sun: H-Hey!

Cassie: *sigh* As reckless as always...

Roman: No you idiot! That's not a leash!

All of a sudden, Blake appeared right behind Roman, holding her blade to his neck in a hostage fashion

Roman: What the-? Oh for Fu-

Blake: Nobody move!

The group of White Fang members began aiming their weapons at her.

Roman: Woah! Take it easy there little lady.

Blake, while holding Roman hostage, took off her bow, revealing her cat ears. The White Fang members lowered their weapons... for a while...

Blake: Brothers of the White Fang, why are you aiding this scum!?

Roman: Heh, oh kid. Didn't you get the memo?

Blake: What are you talking about?

Roman: The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together.

Blake: Tell me what it is or I'll put an end to your little operation.

Just then, more Bullheads flew in and hovered over the docks.

Roman: I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation.

As Blake looked up at the Bullheads distracted, Roman pulled the trigger on his cane, shooting off an explosive shot right underneath them that sent Blake flying back. From the distance, Cassie and Sun watched.

Cassie: Okay, that's enough.

Blake began dodging and rolling out of the way of Roman's shots but as one was about to hit her, two roars could be heard as Ni and San swooped in and blocked the attack before attempting to bite at Roman, who blocked with his cane before sending the two dragon whips back. As he did, Cassie dropped kicked Roman in his back, causing him to stumble forwards as she landed in front of Blake, with Ni and San coming into her hands.

Cassie: You've had your fun. Time for it to come to an end.

Roman glared at her but before he could do anything, a banana peel made contact with his face as Sun jumped down and landed next to Cassie.

Sun: Leave her alone.

Roman: You two aren't the brightest bananas in the bunch, aren't ya?

The White Fang members behind him began charging forwards. As Sun moved in to take on some, Cassie did as well, twirling and swinging Ni and San around as the whips made contact with her enemies, electrocuting and knocking them back at the same time, all the while doing flips to dodge the gunfire. As her eyes glowed a dominant golden color, she threw San, who grew slightly in size before proceeding viciously biting at the White Fang Members. While that was happening, some more White Fang Members began to fire their weapons in the direction of Cassie, who twirled Ni to block all the bullets before leaping into the air, and firing off a Gravity Beam from Ni, which knocked back a few of them. Immediately after, Cassie used her Semblance, Ghidorah's Spark to transform into a golden lightning bolt and speed into the middle of a small group before unleashing a burst of electrical energy, electrocuting them all. Afterwards, Blake jumped over her and ran towards Roman.

Blake: HE'S MINE!

Cassie: Blake!

Blake didn't listen and began to release endless and ruthless slashes at Roman, while using her Semblance of Shadows to swiftly maneuver around him but he was keeping up with her with no problem. Roman eventually kicked her back causing Sun and Cassie to step in.

Sun began going head to head with Roman, using his Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang, first fighting with its staff mode before swapping to its Gunchuck mode and firing off shots while swinging the Gunchucks; Roman surprisingly keeping up. Roman kicked him away before Cassie quickly stepped, bolting all around Roman while whipping him with Ni and San but just like before, he was able to keep up with her but not as easily due to her sheer speed. Roman swung his can at Cassie, who quickly bolted out of the way before launching Ni and San at him, the two Dragon whips biting down on his Cane before lifting him up and slamming him into a crate before returning to their owner. As Roman got back up, the voice of Ruby could be heard.

Ruby: Hey!

They looked to the top of a crate to see Ruby twirl Crescent Rose before stabbing it into the crate's roof.

Roman: Oh, hello Red! Isn't it past your bedtime?

Penny who was behind her, walked up to her, confused.

Penny: Ruby, are these guys your friends?

Ruby: Stay back Penny!

As Ruby was distracted, Roman shot at her, which made contact, causing her to go flying back with a cry.

Cassie: RUBY!

Roman laughed at her pain as Cassie glared at him, her eyes flickering between red and gold.

Cassie: Damn you... You'll pay for that!

Roman only laughed as Cassie rushed at him before leaping into the air and twirling in midair, sending out multiple streaks of lightning towards Roman, who dodged each strike. Then as she came down on him, she sent an overhead kick at him, which he blocked with his cane. Cassie boosted herself off of Roman's cane, landing back on the ground before Ni and San fired off Gravity Beams from their mouths at Roman, who rolled out of the way before firing off two explosive shots at her. Seeing them, Cassie quickly backed away, causing the shots to hit the ground before her, causing her a slight smokescreen. Before she could react, Roman appeared out of nowhere and slammed his cane into her side, sending her through two crates.

Blake: CASSIE!

Roman, with a smug look, turned his attention back to Blake.

Roman: Now that she's out of the way, let's have a little dance, shall we?

Blake gritted her teeth as Roman slowly approached her but then... an angered yell caught their attention. They both looked back to where Cassie was knocked into, only to see a golden beam of energy rising from the crates... Then before anyone could say anything...

"GHIDORAH!"

Cassie's voice boomed throughout the entire docks as a demonic roar-like cackle echoed. A Golden Three headed winged dragon erupted from the crates, roaring into the night before disappearing into golden particles as a streak of golden energy shot up from the crates.

Roman: What the...?

The golden light died down to reveal a gorgeous golden figure, holding twin Dragon Whips; Cassie Ghidra... Her short hair was a golden color while golden horns popped out of her head. Her eyes remained their crimson color, but they had a bit of a sparkle in them. From her lower back, the same golden dragon/bat-like wings sprouted  as her twin golden tails flailed about. Her outfit was a mixture of gold and a darker gold, with clawed-like golden gloves and dark golden thigh-high boots.

Ruby: Woah... Is that Cassie!?

Blake: Cassie... She hasn't used this form because she hated the attention she'd get because of it... If she's transformed now, that means she's lost any care in the world...

Sun: Damn...

As Blake said this, Cassie glared at Roman who sweat dropped.

Roman: Ah shit...

In an instant, Cassie appeared in front of Roman before spin kicking him way from her.

Roman: Okay that does it. Kill her!

Many White Fang soldiers surrounded her, ready to attack. Cassie just glared at them as her wings raised to their maximum wingspan.

Cassie: Come at me!

Immediately, the White Fang surrounding her began to fire and rush at her. Cassie however began twirling Ni and San around, electrocuting and whipping each member, all the while dodging the bullets and swings that came her way. Two members tried to sneak up behind her but Cassie's twin tails blocked the attacks before she sent a surge of electricity through them, electrocuting the two members. Just then, two Bullheads swooped in and began to fire down at Cassie, but she just glared at them.

Cassie: Tear them to shreds, Ni, San!

She threw them at the Bullheads, causing the two dragon whips to grow to the giant size from the Initiation before biting down on the Bullheads. As they were occupied the Bullheads, the rest of the White Fang Members on the ground began to rush at Cassie; seeing as she didn't have her weapons, they thought she was vulnerable... THEY. WERE. SO. WRONG.

Cassie jumped over a swing from a White Fang member, before kicking him in the face. Two more tried to attack her from both sides, but Cassie dropped to the floor, doing a split before grabbing both of the weapons and throwing their weapons away before sliding back up onto her feet and quickly knocking out the two members. Then just then, Cassie's right wing blocked an incoming shot from Roman. She growled at him as he began to whistle innocently. Cassie immediately used her Semblance to bolt towards Roman. Once up close, the thief with the bowler hat swung his cane vertically at Cassie who sidestepped to the left before grabbing his arm and lunging herself onto Roman, wrapping her legs around his neck before spinning around, causing him to lose balance.

Roman: Gah! What the-!?

Cassie: Stop looking you pervert!

With that final line, she flipped both her and Roman over, slamming him into the ground. Cassie immediately got back up and sent a electro-charged kick at Roman, knocking him back.

Roman: Damn it.

Just then, Ni and San took out the Bullheads before returning to their owner, roaring ferociously at Roman. Just then, Roman noticed Penny, who was wielding her Floating Array, dragging down a Bullhead that was carrying the S.D.C crate before crashing it into the ground in an explosion of a fiery glory. Seeing an opportunity, Roman fired a shot at Cassie. Ni and San blocked the attack but as Cassie looked around, she saw Roman entering a Bullhead.

Roman: These kids just getting weirder and weirder.

Roman got into a Bullhead before it took off and flew off into the distance. Cassie sighed as she reverted back to her normal form and Ni and San returned to their resting place.

After the battle, police cars arrived at the docks and Ruby, Cassie, Blake, Penny and Sun sat on some crates, with Cassie and Blake leaning against each other. They turned their heads when they heard footsteps; they saw Weiss, Yang, Lazarus, Cassandra and Olympia walking up to them. Ruby immediately got up and began walking towards Weiss.

Ruby: Look Weiss it's not what you think they explained the whole thing you see Blake doesn't actually wear a bow she has kitty cat ears and their actually really cute.

Weiss pushed past her and confronted Blake and Cassie who both got up and faced Weiss. Ruby wanted to say something but was stopped by her brother.

Lazarus: Just let it play out, Ruby.

She nodded and looked back at Weiss, Blake and Cassie

Blake: Weiss. We want you to know that we're no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when we were with-

Weiss cut her off.

Weiss: Stop! Do you have any idea how long we've been searching for you two?

Blake just shook her head, slightly dumbfounded.

Cassie: Umm... Uhh...

Weiss: 12 hours. That means I've had 12 hours to think about this. And in that 12 hours, I've decided...

Everyone looked at Weiss, kind of anxious of what she would say

Weiss: I don't care!

Blake and Cassie seemed dumbfounded and glanced at each other before looking back at Weiss.

Blake and Cassie: Y-You don't care?

Weiss: You both said you're not one of them anymore, right?

Cassie: Uhh no, w-we haven't been since-

Weiss: Upupupupupupupup! I don't want to hear it! All I want to know is that the next time something this big comes up, you'll  BOTH come to your teammates  and friends and not some...

She looked at Sun

Weiss: Someone else.

Cassie began giggling as Blake wiped a tear from her eye.

Blake: Of course.

Cassie: Right. We'll be sure to remember that. But we're not the only one's you should be apologizing to...

Cassie gestured towards her teammates. Weiss nodded with a sigh and turned to face Olympia, Lazarus and Cassandra.

Weiss: Lazarus, Olympia, Cassandra... I know I wasn't being fair yesterday, categorizing every Faunus with the White Fang... And even though I wasn't being specific and didn't call any names, and though we're not... completely sure if your also Faunus, those traits classify you as one, according to society. So it's only fair that any negative talk about the Faunus would affect you three as well... So... I'm... I-I'm... *sigh and bows head*  I'M SORRY!

Team RWBY and Cassie looked at her shocked. Cassandra began to giggle as Olympia wiped a tear from her eye before running up to Weiss and embracing her tightly...

Olympia: I just wanted to hear that from you, Weiss. You're forgiven.

Weiss seemed hesitant but sighed happily and embraced her back. Lazarus then walked up to Weiss as she and Olympia ended the embrace and patted her head, while smiling at her.

Lazarus: I'm proud of you Weiss. Keep this up and you can give the Schnee name a good reputation.

Weiss blushed from the gesture before smiling back.

Weiss: Right, Laz.

The sweet moment was soon ended by Ruby.

Ruby: Yeah! Team RWBY and Team LCOC are back together!

As they all gathered around each other, Weiss pointed accusingly at Sun.

Weiss: I'm still not quite sure about how I feel about you!

Sun laughed nervously. Afterwards, Cassie suddenly got nervous...

Cassie: Blake...? *Blake looks at her* Can we talk? Alone?

Seeing the situation, Blake blushed and nodded her head. The two went a slight ways away from their teams before facing each other...

Blake: W-What did you want to talk about, Cassie?

Cassie began to play with her hair.

Cassie: W-Well... Umm... Uh... What... are we?

Blake seemed slightly surprised by the question but understood it to the fullest. She took a deep breath before...

Blake: Honestly, I'm not sure...

Cassie looked down, before Blake took both of her hands, causing the twin tailed Faunus to look up at her, seeing Blake smiling sweetly at her.

Blake: But... What I do know, is... that I love you, Cassie.

Cassie's eyes widen as her tails raised up into the air, wagging in a happy way. Tears of happiness formed in Cassie's eyes as she smiled back at Blake.

Cassie: I love you too, Blake.

And with that, the two closed the distance and pressed their lips against each other, engaging in a passionate kiss. From the distance, the remaining members of Team RWBY and LCOC watched with smiles as the two old friends finally get on good terms with one another and confess their feelings for one another...
