(Lazarus' POV)

"You're a monster. A FREAK!"

That was the last words of the last victim that I drained the blood of... He was one of the S.D.C mine operators... I particularly remembered him... because of the hell he put me through... But he wasn't the only life I took on that day... The cheerful squealing of someone I definitely couldn't forget, no matter how hard I tried, brought be out of my trance. Currently, I was standing in the airship that was taking me and my two "sisters", Ruby and Yang, the former of which was two years younger than me and Yang, to the Huntsman Academy, Beacon Academy.

Yang: Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!

Yang proceeded to bear hug Ruby, causing her to try and break out to prevent her suffocation

Ruby: Please... Stop...

Yang finally decided to not kill our sister before her first day even began and let her go.

Yang: But I'm so proud of you!

Ruby: Really sis, it was nothing.

Yang: What do you mean!? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the "bee's knees"

Ruby: I don't want to be the "bee's knees" okay? I don't want to be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees...

Yang: What's with you? Aren't you excided??

Ruby: Of course I'm excited, I just got moved ahead two years. I don't want anyone to think I'm special or anything...

Yang: But you are special. Right, Laz?

I looked at Yang before turning to Ruby.

Me: Being enrolled into a Huntsman Academy two years ahead is not a common feat. I say be proud of yourself, Ruby. You earned this.

Yang smirked as Ruby smiled sweetly at me before lunging into my arms and embracing me.

Ruby: Thanks Laz. That means a lot.

Ruby and Yang... Those two are pretty much all I live for now. They accepted me in their family, even though they knew I was a Vampire... They happily accepted me as one of their own... and I honestly couldn't be more grateful...

Our attention was soon grabbed by the projector presenting the news about a Ginger guy with the Bowler hat, named Roman Torchwick and his evasion of the authorities. Then it changed to a Faunus Civil Right Protest that was crashed by members of the White Fang... Seeing humans treat the Faunus in an unfair way... It reminded me of that those guys up in the floating rock known as Atlas... the Schnees... The same ones who enslaved me after... I was pulled out of my thoughts when the broadcast was interrupted by a hologram of a blonde woman with glasses showing up

Woman: Hello and welcome to Beacon.

Yang: Who's that?

Glynda: My name is Glynda Goodwitch.

Yang: Oh.

Glynda: You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world.

The hologram disappeared as Ruby looked out of the window, me following her

Ruby: Oh wow! Look, you can see Signal from up here! I guess home isn't too far after all!

Yang: Beacon's our home now.

Me: ...Home...

The moment was interrupted, this time by groaning. We looked behind us to see a blonde boy, running towards the back of the ship, holding his mouth. I sighed while looking at him.

Me: Airsickness...

Yang: Well... I guess the view isn't for everyone.

Ruby: It was a nice moment while it lasted. I wonder who we're gonna meet! I just hope they're better than Vomit Boy. Oh, Yang, gross! You have puke on your shoe!

Yang: Gross gross gross gross gross gross gross!

Ruby: G-Get away! Get away from me! Get away from me! Get away from me! Get away from me!

I watched helplessly as Yang chased Ruby around the ship. After we landed, I quietly broke off from Ruby and Yang and began to walk around the school grounds. I had to hand it to whoever designed it, it was quite grand... More like a castle than an actual school... If I was to pass the Initiation, then this would be my home for the next four years... And eventually, I'd have to be put on a team...

Me: *sigh*......

"You're a monster. A FREAK!"

Monster... Freak... These horns, pointed ears and fangs of mine classify me as one...? As I was in deep thought, I didn't even realized that I accidently bumped into someone. A thud, followed by a slight yelp brought me out of my thoughts.

???: Ow!

I looked down, only to see a girl with light blonde hair and massive colorful moth wings, rubbing her head.

Me: Um... Are you okay?

???: I-I am. Sorry, I shouldn't have been running.

Me: No, it's alright. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going.

She looked up at me, revealing her eyes to be a pure oceanic blue. I offered her a hand, which she accepted; she was, significantly shorter than me, like Ruby's size. Suddenly, she bowed politely in front of me.

???: Again, I'm so, so sorry!

Me: I said it was alright.

???: O-Okay.

She said, nervously tapping her fingers together with a blush on her face and while in a nervous girly posture.

???: U-Um... What's your name?

Me: Lazarus Rose.

???: Oh, that's a nice name. I'm Princess Olympia Mosura of the Guardian Beast, Mothra. Y-You can just call me Olympia.

So she was a princess... Well, her clothing did seemed to hold some royalty... Vacuan Royalty.

(Her Outfit)

Me: Well, it's nice to meet you and all Olympia, but I think we should get to the auditorium. If we could find it...

Olympia: Ah! R-Right I forgot! Don't worry, I know where it is!

Me: Oh, if that's the case, lead the way.

She smiled at me with a blush before taking my hand and leading me towards the auditorium. First impressions on Olympia, she seemed, shy but cheerful, even though she's a princess. But her title is what caught me off guard... Princess of the Guardian Beast, Mothra... If I'm correct, the Guardian Beasts are of a fairy tale...

The God of Light created a duo of massive Guardian Beasts that would protect Humanity and come to their aid when called upon, but the God of Darkness quickly picked up on his brother's plans and created Guardian Beasts of his own, this time, they would bring upon destruction and ruin. In total, there were FOUR Guardian Beasts created, two from each God, but one day, a Fifth Guardian Beast mysteriously appeared and asserted Dominance over the rest of them, becoming their Alpha. After the Gods abandoned Remnant and the Guardian Beasts disappeared down the line, their blood would be found in un-expecting Humans/Faunus, giving them a fragment of the power the original Guardian Beast had.

So that means Olympia's the next child of the Mothra Bloodline...

Olympia: U-Um...

Me: Huh?

I looked at Olympia, only to see her staring at me with a massive blush on her face.

Olympia: Please don't stare at my w-wings... I-It's embarrassing...

Me: Ah... Sorry about that.

So she was self conscious about herself, mainly her wings... I couldn't blame her really...

Olympia: Ah! Here we are!

And indeed we were. It was quite crowded... mainly with shadow figures, which made finding Ruby and Yang extremely easy. But it seemed like they were talking to a girl with white hair... What... Oh no... One of THEM...

Me: There they are... Well, I guess this is where we part ways Olympia.

I was about to walk away, before I felt a tight grip around my arm. I turned around, only to see it was Olympia, desperately holding onto my arm.

Olympia: Please don't leave me all alone!

(3rd Person POV)

After parting ways with the Blonde boy from earlier, Jaune, Ruby went over to where her elder sister was, only to notice that Lazarus wasn't with her either.

Yang: How's your first day going, little sister?

Ruby: You mean since you and Laz ditched me and I exploded?

Yang: Yikes! Meltdown already?

Ruby: No, I literally exploded a hole in front of the school! There was some fire and I think some ice...

Yang: Are you being sarcastic?

Ruby: Ugh, I wish! I tripped over some crabby girl's luggage and she yelled at me and then I sneezed, and then I exploded, and then she yelled at me again and I felt really, really bad and I just wanted her to stop yelling at me!

Said girl she was ranting about, slowly appeared behind her before... Her name was Weiss Schnee, The Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company.

Weiss: YOU!

Startled, Ruby jumped into her sister's arms.

Ruby: Oh god, it's happening again!

Weiss: You're lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff!

Yang: *deadpan* Oh my god, you really exploded...

Ruby got out of her sister's arms and began to apologize to the ice queen.

Ruby: It was an accident!

Weiss then held up a pamphlet titled, "DUST for dummies and other Inadequate Individuals" to Ruby

Ruby: What's this?

Weiss then spoke as her voice got into a higher and higher pitch...

Weiss: The Schnee Dust Company is not responsible for any injuries or damages sustained while operating a Schnee Dust Company product. Although not mandatory, the Schnee Family highly encourages their customers to read and familiarize themselves with this easy to follow guide to Dust applications and practices in the field.

Ruby: Uhhh...

Weiss: You really wanna start making things up to me?

Ruby: Absolutely...?

Weiss handed Ruby the pamphlet.

Weiss: Read this, and don't ever speaking to me again.

Yang: Look, uh it sounds like you two got off the wrong foot. Why don't you start over and try to be friends, okay?

Ruby: Yeah! Great idea sis! Hello Weiss, I'm Ruby! Wanna hang out? We can go shopping for school supplies!

Weiss: Yeah! And we can paint our nails and try on clothes and talk about cute boys, like tall, blonde, scraggly or horns over there!

She pointed to Jaune and Lazarus, the latter of which was walking over to them. Jaune, who was walking past them, looked over at them

Jaune: Hmmm?

Ruby: Wow, Really!?

Weiss:...NO.

Yang noticed Lazarus approaching then and waved to him.

Yang: Laz, there you are!

Ruby too noticed him and got really excited for a moment.

Ruby: Yay!!! Wait a minute, *looks at Weiss* Did you just call my brother cute?

Weiss: W-Wha!? No you dunce!

Yang: She totally did.

Lazarus: What is going on here, *looks at Weiss* and why are you attacking my sister?

Lazarus asked as he stepped in between Ruby and Yang, the former clinging onto him.

Weiss: Attacking? You're "sister" nearly blew me off the side of the cliff!

Lazarus: Compared to all the torture your family put the Faunus through in your Mines, it seems rather tame, wouldn't you say, Schnee?

Weiss glared at him, offended as Yang and Ruby did their best not to laugh.

Weiss: Why you-! Ugh!

???: Umm...

From behind Lazarus, Olympia emerged, as shy as ever.

Lazarus: Oh and before I forget, this is Olympia.

Olympia: U-Um, Hi!

Yang: Hey there!

Ruby: Ooohhh Hi! I love your wings! Their so big and colorful!

Ruby said with stars in her eyes as Weiss sighed and shook her head. Olympia to blush from embarrassment before giggling nervously.

Olympia: T-Thank you, Ehehehe.

Before anything else could be said, their attention was brought to the stage, where the Headmaster of Beacon Academy, Ozpin was, about to make his "brief" speech.

Ozpin: I'll... keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step.

After his speech, Oz left the stage, allowing Glynda to take over

Glynda: You will gather in the ballroom tonight; tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed.

Everyone in the Auditorium began to talk and make their way to the ballroom while we just stood there.

Yang: He seemed kind of... off.

Ruby: It's almost like he wasn't even there.

Suddenly, Jaune came into the scene out of nowhere, eyeing Weiss.

Jaune: I'm a natural blonde you know!

As the girls facepalmed at his attempt at Weiss, Lazarus noticed two people, specifically two girls that stood out from the crowd but they had hoods on their heads. One has red eyes and the other was significantly shorter and had orange eyes. But what caught his eye, was that the girl with the red eyes, had twin golden scaly tails...

Lazarus' Thoughts: Is she a Faunus? Or maybe like Olympia...?

(Lazarus' POV)

I sat on the ground outside of the Ballroom, meditating as I normally do, especially at nighttime. It usually helps me stay calm, especially since we'll most likely be fighting Grimm the next day. I'm not afraid of the Grimm... Just of one specific one... Thankfully, the type is rarer than a Beowolf or Nevermore... I sensed something or someone in a close vicinity to me.

Me: You can reveal yourself now.

???: E-Eh?? How did you...?

I turned around to see, the same girl with the twin golden tails but she didn't have her hood, so it revealed her hair to be short and a dark purple color.

(Her nightgown)

Me: These horns are like a sixth sense.

???:A-Ah... I see... Sorry...

Me: It's alright.

???: So... Why are you out here? Can't sleep?

Me: Not necessarily... It's just I meditate every night before I sleep.

???: It's to help prevent nightmares, right?

I was slightly caught off guard but, also impressed.

???: S-Sorry. I shouldn't...

Me: No it's alright. Yes, it does. So, the reason you're up is because you can't sleep?

???: More or less... It's not because of nightmares. I'm just nervous for tomorrow...

Me: Well, that's nothing to be ashamed of, really. Speaking of... It's getting quite late. I think it's about time we go to bed, don't you think?

???: Ah, yes.

As I got up, the girl began to walk away, before pausing and looking back at me.

???: By the way, My name is Cassie Ghidra. It's nice to meet you.

I looked at her.

Me: Likewise. I'm Lazarus Rose.

Cassie: Lazarus... Well, I'll see you at the initiation, friend!

She waved at me with a smile before walking back into the ballroom. I looked at her, slightly bewildered at what she called me, before looking up at the broken moon, that hovered above the school...

"Friend... Huh..."

This is the beginning of Beauty and The Beast or in shorter terms, The long awaited Weiss Fanfic. I would like to take this opportunity to thank ReaderGodzilla for allowing me the privilege of using two of his characters, one of which is Cassie. If not for them, I wouldn't be starting this now. So yea, Lazarus, Cassie, Olympia and our fourth character, who if u saw the character trailers and bios, will know who it is, will be our main characters along side Team RWBY for this book. Just a heads up, swearing, sexual themes and possibly some gore may be present in this book so if u don't like that, u can turn back now. Anyways, see u guys in the next chapter.
