(Lazarus' POV)

We had our plan set, so now it was time to set it in motion. Right now, both mine and Ruby's teams were back in Professor Port's class. I looked at the rest of my teammates, who were... all pretty much asleep; heck even Cassie was dozing off... Usually she just read a book but I guess even she was that bored that she fell asleep. I then noticed Jaune, who sat next to Weiss tried flirting and hitting on her. I sighed...

Jaune: So Weiss. You know uh, I was thinking that after this, maybe we could go grab a bite to eat.

Weiss: ...

Jaune: And uh, you know well, I-I've got two tickets to that new Spruce Willis Movie if you want to make a trip to Vale, I hear it's awesome.

Weiss: ...

Jaune: And... then maybe after that we could study together? I mean, you're smart and I'm a, you know...

Finally, the bell rang and everyone began to leave the class. I shook my  teammates awake, who all groaned in response.

Olympia: Please chief... let me sleep...

Me: Class is over and we have a mission to do.

Cassie who managed to stir awake got up and helped Cassandra up. Olympia still wasn't budging so I sighed and picked her up, bridal style.

Jaune: Weiss? Did you hear me?

Weiss: No, no, no, yes.

Weiss walked past him with the rest of us following.

Yang: Maybe next time.

CHAPTER 3: SECRET MISSION

(3rd Person POV)

After dumping buckets of cold water on Olympia and Cassandra's heads to wake them up, Team LCOC got ready for the mission and made our way over to Team RWBY's room. Lazarus knocked on their door, only for Ruby to be the one to answer, wearing a new outfit that had one extra color in it, silver.

Ruby: Ah! You guys are just in time!

Lazarus: Good to hear. So, the other girls still getting ready or...?

Ruby: We're all done here! Come in!

She opened the door, revealing the rest of Team RWBY in their "Special-Ops" outfits.

INTRUDER

HUNTER

They weren't the only ones wearing something new however. Ruby insisted that all of them wore something different, so Team LCOC decided to wear different outfits for the night as well.

Yang: *whistles* Looking good guys!

Olympia: Ehehe! Thanks! You girls too!

Ruby: Aww, thanks!

Cassandra glance at Yang in her Hunter outfit, before seeing the... window in her top and blushing. Yang seemed to noticed and smirked.

Yang: Like what you see, baby demon~?

Cassandra's face turn bright red as she fell over and fainted. Lazarus shook his head as Yang and Olympia laughed at the love-struck Cassandra. Cassie smiled at the comedic display before looking at Blake in her Intruder outfit, blushing but she walked up to her.

Cassie: You... Uh, look amazing Kitty!

Blake looked at her and blushed, looking away before replying.

Blake: T-Thanks... You too, Cassie...

Blake continued to blush before she gasped in surprised and blushed heavier when Cassie went behind her and wrapped her arms around her, touching her now exposed belly.

Blake: *blushes* C-Cassie W-What are you-

Cassie: Wow... I never realized how smooth your belly is... It's almost mesmerizing...

Blake: *blushes* C-Cassie...! S-Stop, p-please!

Cassie: Ooh, and these tight leggings really shows how big this Bellabooty of yours is~

Cassie teased, causing Blake's face to turn completely red and spun around to glare at Cassie.

Blake: NO! NO! STOP! WAIT TILL WE GET BACK!

Cassie: Ooohhh~

As Cassie continued to tease the flustered Blake, Olympia walked up to them.

Olympia: What are you two going to do???

She gave an innocent tilt of the head, causing both Blake and Cassie to sweat drop.

Blake: U-Um... We're... W-We're going to tickle each other until the other one gives up! R-Right Cassie??

Cassie: Y-Yeah! T-Tickles!

Olympia's eyes wide with sparkles in her eyes.

Olympia: Ooohhh! That sounds fun! We should do that later, Ruby!

Ruby sped up to her, equally as ecstatic.

Ruby: Totally!

Cassie and Blake sighed...

Cassie: Bless their souls their so innocent...

Blake: You could say that again...

Lazarus shook my head, before taking a look at Weiss in her new outfit.

Lazarus: You look nice Snowflake.

She looked at him, her face turning red before she playfully punched his shoulder.

Weiss: H-Huh!? S-Snowflake!???. Y-You can't just call me that out of the blue!

Lazarus: Well... I just did. So what are you going to do, Snowflake?

Lazarus deadpan at her, only to see her pouting and landing multiple light punches onto his chest.

Lazarus: Trying to beat me up won't make you feel any better...

Weiss: S-Shut up you good for nothing, blood sucking dingus!

Blake: I thought class would never end.

Ruby: Alright, guys. Today's the day. The investigation begins!

Olympia: YES! Finally some action!

Weiss: *sarcastically* I'm glad to see that we're all taking this so seriously.

Yang: Hey! We've got a plan. That's... moderately serious!

Ruby: Right, everyone remember their roles?

Weiss: You and me will head for the CCT and check the Schnee records for any other Dust robberies or inconsistencies. Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem.

Blake: The White Fang has regular factions meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members. If Cassie and I can get into said meeting, we can hopefully figure out what their planning.

Yang: I have an old friend on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in Vale. Cassandra and I won't have trouble getting information out of him.

Lazarus: And Olympia and I will provide do overhead scouts around the city, looking out for anything. If we find anything, we'll contact you all immediately.

Olympia: Yup!

Ruby: Great, we'll meet up tonight near Yang and Cassandra to go over what we've found. Let's do this!

???: Yeah!

They all turned to the window to see Sun hanging upside down from it.

Blake: Sun!?

Cassie: Can't I have ONE day without seeing you!?

Sun: Haha! You ain't getting rid of me, Cass.

Yang: How did you even get up there?

Sun: Ah, it's easy. I do it all the time.

Weiss: You do what!?

Sun: I climb trees all the time!

Olympia: *blushes* Sun, p-please don't make that a habit...

Sun: *ignores that and looks at Olympia with a smile* Lookin' good, Princess!

Olympia blushed and tapped her finger tips nervously.

Olympia: T-Thanks...

Cassie glared at Sun

Cassie: You absolute disgusting, smug ass pervert!

Cassandra began to growl at Sun, causing him sweat drop.

Sun: H-Hey! I'm not! Isn't Horns over there the only guy on your team???

Cassie: At least Laz respects our privacy, unlike a certain MONKEY!

Lazarus: *deadpans* Please leave me out of this...

Sun: Anyways, we finally getting back at that Torchwick guy?

Blake: WE are going to investigate the situation, as a team.

Ruby: Sorry Sun, we don't want to get more friends involved if we don't have to.

Sun: Nah, that's dumb. You should always get friends involved! That's why I brought Neptune.

They all slid over to the window and peeked out, seeing Neptune standing on the narrow ledge.

Neptune: Sup?

Cassie: Okay, how did you even get up here?

Neptune: I have my ways... Seriously though, can I come in? We're like... really high up right now...

After pulling Neptune into the room, they all began to go over everything again, now including Sun and Neptune.

Ruby: Alright, I'll go with Weiss; Sun, you can go with Blake and Cassie.

Cassie: *breaths in* ...YOU'VE GOT TO BE FU-

Blake quickly covered her mouth, laughing nervously.

Blake: Don't worry. You'll still have me, Cass.

Ruby: And Neptune, you can go with Yang and Cassandra.

Ruby pushed Neptune past Weiss. He slipped a wink at her, causing Lazarus to cross his arms with a disappointed look.

Ruby: Everyone good?

Weiss: Actually Ruby, why don't you go with Yang? After all, she IS your sister.

After pushing Neptune over in between Yang and Cassandra, Ruby looked at Weiss. Neptune began to rock back and forth while Yang put her hand on his shoulder to stop him before looking at Cassandra, who by the was significantly shorter than her, and touching one of the tentacles on the back of her head, with an intrigued sound. Cassandra on the other hand, began to blush madly from the sensation.

Ruby: But, who would go with you then?

Weiss: Well... I guess Neptune could come with me.

A cartoonish tick of anger popped over Lazarus' head before hatching a small idea.

Lazarus: Actually, I have a proposal. *looks at Olympia* Olympia you can scout overhead much easier on your own right?

Olympia put two fingers to her chin before nodding her head.

Olympia: Yeah! If I don't have to carry anyone, then I'll be the quickest scout of the skies!

She proudly said, putting her hands on her hips with a cheesy smile.

Lazarus: The Olympia with scout from the skies alone and I'll come with Weiss and Ruby.

Ruby: Hmm... Actually I like that a lot!

Weiss: Wha- I did NOT agree to this!

Ruby: Alright! Good luck guys!

Ruby grabbed both Weiss and Lazarus by the back of their color/hood before dragging them out of the room; Weiss desperately holding her hands out.

Weiss: But! But!

As they were dragged away, Lazarus looked at Neptune, who looked annoyed before putting up two middle fingers and expressionlessly, flaunting them at him as he was dragged away.

Cassie, Cassandra, Olympia, Sun and Yang burst out in hysterical laughter as Blake giggled.

Currently, Ruby, Weiss and Lazarus was making their way towards the Beacon CCT tower, the latter with his hands in his pockets, dawning his normal stoic expression.

Ruby: Wow! I forgot how big the transmit tower looks so close!

Weiss: You should see the one in Atlas.

Ruby: That's was the first one right?

Weiss: Correct. Atlas developed the cross continental transmit system to allow the four kingdoms to communicate with one another. It was their gift to the world after The Great War.

Ruby: *mockingly* Oh look at me, my name is Weiss Schnee, I know facts, I'm rich.

Lazarus: That was... surprisingly an accurate impression.

Ruby: Haha! I know!

Weiss turned to look at the two of them, clearly upset.

Weiss: Stop being pests!

Lazarus: Say what you want Ice Queen.

Weiss: WHY YOU- UGH! Besides, the only reason we're here is because YOU *pointing at Ruby* like the tower so much. We could have easily made the call from the library!

Ruby: I know, I just wanted to see the tower! It's so cool!! I'm gonna take a picture!

Ruby took out her scroll but in her excitement, accidently dropped it, causing it to go tumbling over to a familiar pair of black boots...; Penny. She kneeled down and picked it up.

Penny: You dropped this!

Ruby looked and saw Penny with complete shock.

Ruby: Penny!?

Penny: *surprised* Uhh...

Ruby: Where have you been!? We haven't seen you since the night at the docks!

Penny: S-Sorry. I think you've got me confused... *Hiccup*

She quickly tossed the scroll to Ruby before turning to leave.

Penny: Uh, I've got to go! *Hiccup*...

Weiss and Lazarus exchanged confused glances before looking at Ruby.

Weiss: What was that about?

Ruby: I don't know, but I'm going to find out. You go make your call! I'll meet up with you guys later!

Ruby ran off after Penny as Weiss desperately held her hand out to her.

Weiss: W-Wait! Don't leave me with- *sighs defeated*

Lazarus just looked at her.

Lazarus: Welp, I guess it's just us Snowflake.

Weiss glared at him before sighing.

Weiss: You know, something about you saying that in that monotone of yours and with that deadpan face, just makes me want to punch you...

Lazarus: Well, I welcome you to try, though I doubt you could do much more than Ruby can. At least I feel something when she punches me.

Lazarus casually began to walk towards the tower, leaving an annoyed and bewildered Weiss...

Weiss: Ah-... Are you saying I'm weaker than a 15 year old!?

Lazarus: *in the distance* You said it, not me!

Weiss: OH THE NERVE OF-

After that, Weiss and Lazarus made their way into the CCT tower before taking the elevator. In the middle of the ride, Weiss took a deep breath before putting on a smile that quickly changed to a frown. She tried again, only for the same result. Lazarus noticed and raised an eyebrow.

Lazarus: What are you doing?

Weiss scoffed.

Weiss: Wouldn't you like to know.

She looked away from him, only to frown sadly... Lazarus noticed and leaned off the wall before walking over to her.

Lazarus: I know we don't have the... friendliest of "friendships", but you were there for me when I had that nightmare and was shaken up about it. So of you don't mind, I'll like to at least know what's going on with you, Weiss.

Weiss remained quiet before sighing.

Weiss: The moment I left home was the greatest feeling ever. I felt like a free bird, with the ability to do whatever she pleases, so long as it made her happy. However... *looks at Lazarus with a troubled expression* Doing this, feels like I'm almost going back there... after all the trouble I went through to leave...

She looked down, holding her hands. Lazarus sighed and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, causing her to look up at him.

Lazarus: I'm not going to say I fully know what you mean, because in reality, I don't... But, I do know that feeling in a sense... After the trouble I went through to leave Atlas, it feels like I'm going back there.

Weiss: You told me... that my father enslaved you... Is this true?

Lazarus: ...Yes...

Lazarus lifted up the back of his hoodie and shirt to show off a few scars, causing Weiss to gasp with a look of horror.

Lazarus: I told you that I lost my mother, remember?

Weiss slowly and somberly nodded.

Lazarus: She used to be a Vampire Horned Faunus like me... We're not really sure what kind of Faunus... It could be a bull or buffalo... But the moment my mother died, I was all alone.

Weiss: ...What about your father...?

Lazarus: I've been told storied about him by my mother... but I never really saw him as he went missing when I was young... All I know is that he was a Human and a Huntsman like my mom... When my mom died, I was all alone... Until your father picked me up... I thought I was going to finally have some form of home... family... Heh, you could only imagine how disappointed I was...

Weiss reached out to Lazarus and slid one of her hands up his left sleeve, where she found more scars making her heart drop further...

Lazarus: The moment I was put into those mines, I knew... Knew that this was no place I'd want to be... Especially as a Vampire...

Weiss: I... I can't believe it... Why would the operators allow this to happen...?

Lazarus: Most Humans naturally look down on the Faunus or anyone that looks remotely different to them. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about it. No matter how much we protest. That's what the old White Fang was trying to do, before it fell into corruption. Before I escaped those mines, I had no one, nothing left to live for... until I met Ruby and Yang, who gave me a purpose again... and until I met all of you, including you Weiss.

Weiss' hand slowly drifted off of Lazarus' arm and back to her side...

Lazarus: Your father was the main reason I never liked the Schnees... I had a grudge against them for a long time now... But, I let my grudge extend further to you at first.

Lazarus took his hand off Weiss' shoulder and looked down in shame.

Lazarus: The moment I first saw you, I wanted nothing to do with you just because you were a Schnee... But, deep down I knew, that you had nothing to do with your father's actions... The moment you helped me save Ruby in the forest, I decided to give you a chance, and you passed. Then the situation with Blake and Cassie... I just overreacted about saying that you were just like your father...

He looked back at her, this time smiling.

Lazarus: But now I know that you have no ill intent like your father, and you'll take the Schnee name to new heights and change the look of it in the world, as a true Huntress.

He was taken by surprise when Weiss suddenly lunged forwards and brought him into a tight embrace. He hesitated for a bit but upon feeling the rapid beating of his heart, he let out a calmed sigh and hugged her back, resting his chin on the top of her head. He could feel his under shirt began to get slightly wet, and heard the quiet sniffling of Weiss...

Lazarus: Weiss...?

Weiss just continued to cry before finally speaking...

Weiss: L-Laz... I'm so sorry...

Lazarus: It's alright... I already said I don't-

Weiss: And thank you...

Lazarus: For what...?

She lifted her head to meet his golden eyes with her pale sapphire ones.

Weiss: For not judging me based off the crumbling reputation of my Surname.

Lazarus just smiled at her again. He gently extended his right hand and rested it on her left cheek, causing her to smile with a bit of rose in her cheeks.

(Both POVS)
"This feeling again... My heart rate had increased and there's this feeling like butterflies in my stomach... No one has made me feel this way before... What is this called...?"

Soon enough, Lazarus and Weiss found themselves gliding closer and closer to each other, without breaking eye contact with one another... As they neared closer and closer, they eventually slowly closed their eyes while their lips neared closer, just about to make contact...

*DING!*

The sound of the elevator made upon arrived at the top floor, caused both teens to gasped slightly surprised, realizing how close they were before quickly pulling away from each other. Neither exchanged any words, not even a cheeky insult. Just... Very... Awkward... Silence... The elevator doors opened, revealing the top of the CCT tower. Weiss and Lazarus made their way in before making contact with a Holographic Secretary.

Secretary: Welcome to the Beacon Cross Continental Center. How may I help you?

Weiss: W-We need to make a call to the Schnee Company World Headquarters in Atlas.

Secretary: Of course. If you could head over to Terminal 3, I'll patch you through.

Weiss: Thank you.

The Holographic Secretary smiled before disappearing as the duo made their way towards the terminal. When they arrived at it, Weiss sat down in front of it while Lazarus stood behind, crossing his arms. Weiss sighed as the terminal activated and the Secretary of the SDC was displayed.

SDC Secretary: Thank you for calling the Atlas-oh, Ms. Schnee! Good Afternoon. Would you like me to patch you through to your father? I think your sister Winter might be there as well.

Weiss: No thank you, I actually was wondering if you could find some files for me. I've complied a short list.

Weiss connected her scroll to the Terminal, transmitting the list to the secretary.

SDC Secretary: I see... If you don't mind, may I ask what is this for?

Weiss: ...School Project.

SDC Secretary: Right... Very well. The data is being transferred to your scroll now.

Weiss: Wonderful. That will be all then.

SDC Secretary: Are you sure you wouldn't like me to patch you through to your father before you go?

Weiss: ...Yes, I'm sure.

SDC Secretary: Well then, have a nice day.

The call ended as Weiss sighed and looked down, but a hand on her shoulder, caused her to look behind her, only to see Lazarus smiling at her.

Lazarus: You'll be able to show the world that you're more than just a name. I know it.

Weiss smiled back at him, resting her hand on his.

Weiss: Thanks.

After that, the two made their way back to the elevator and began going down. Though, half way through the ride, Weiss looked at Lazarus. Lazarus was leaning against the wall, his hands in his pockets before suddenly, Weiss walked up to him.

Lazarus: Hmm? What is it?

Weiss said nothing, smiling before going on her toes and giving Lazarus a kiss on his cheek, causing his face to turn red.

Lazarus: W-Weiss...!

Weiss stopped him by putting her index finger on his mouth, smiling slyly at him while blushing.

Weiss: Don't get any funny ideas Horns. Think of it as a thank you.

With that, she turned around with a proud grin while Lazarus just stared in awe.

Lazarus' thoughts: Well damn...
