(3rd Person POV)

Lazarus: Mom...?

Azealia: *smiles* Hello, my son.

Lazarus stared in shock, seeing his mother, Azealia kneeling in front of him...

Lazarus: B-But how...? Y-You died... right in front of me...!

Azealia: Well... I did... Kinda....

Lazarus: Kinda...?

Azealia: I'll explain in further detail soon, but right now, I need to help you put your soul back together.

Lazarus raised an eyebrow in confusion.

Lazarus: Do what now?

Azealia sighed sadly...

Azealia: When you encountered that Minotaur in downtown Vale, you were put under so much stress, that your soul completely shattered and you temporarily became a soulless monster... And because of that, you currently are in a... dormant state. You're alive and awake, but internally you're completely unconscious, though you can feel it when someone close to you is nearby, just like that Schnee Girl and your two "sisters". So right now, I'm in the process of repairing your soul. For now, you'll have to remain here.

Lazarus: I see...

Lazarus downcasts as he thought of all of his friends, especially his two sisters and... Weiss...

Lazarus: Weiss...

Azealia: You found yourself quite the girlfriend I'll say.

Lazarus: I've... never felt this way about anyone... ever... It'll take getting used to.

Azealia: Well, once you get used to it, trust me when I say, you'll love it, A LOT. Ah! Here we go.

Lazarus looked at her, confused.

Lazarus: What did you do?

Azealia: I got one segment of your soul. Let's brighten up this place up, huh?

Her hands glowed a bright blue before engulfing the entire void area in the bright light, causing Lazarus to shield his eyes. When the light died down, Lazarus opened his eyes, only to see that he was in a snowy field. But what was freaky, was that the sky above him had major cracks in it...

Lazarus: What the...

Azealia: There we go. *looks up* Those cracks show that your soul is still in shambles. But don't worry, I'll get ya all fixed up soon.

Her hands began to glow blue again as she began to work her magic...

Lazarus: Mom...?

She stopped and looked at her son, who looked at her with a smile.

Lazarus: I missed you.

She smiled brightly.

Azealia: I missed you too, my dear.

"LET'S GIVE THEM HELL, GIRLS!"
CHAPTER 2: TEAM BATTLE

(3rd Person POV)

(Flashback)

Cassie: Please Professor, let us fight in the tournament!

Cassie pleaded as she slammed her hand on the desk of Ozpin. Her, Olympia and Cassandra were all in Ozpin's office.

Ozpin: I hope you do understand that the Vytal Festival Tournament requires a team of four to participate.

Olympia: We do, but we can't just sit back and do nothing while our chief is hospital-ridden. We want to fight too, to honor him!

Ozpin put his hand to his chin, crossing his arms, pondering.

Cassandra telepathically: He... may be a dimwit at times... But he's our leader...Our friend... Our... Our Big Brother... Sitting the Tournament out while he's like this, would be betraying all the good he's done for us.

Cassie: Exactly. We won't back down! We'll fight on, and we'll keep fighting, no matter how badly the odds are stacked against us. Either way, we're GOING to fight, whether you like it or not, because it's what Laz would have done for any of us.

All Hybrid girls dawned serious and determined expressions as Ozpin continued to ponder, before coming to a decision...

Ozpin: Well, alright.

(End of Flashback)

Oobleck: It's time for the next match for today!

The crowd within Amity Colosseum cheered in excitement as Cassie, Cassandra and Olympia waited in the waiting room. The girl with the twin tails, turned to her teammates.

Cassie: This is it, girls. Let's show them what we can do when we're serious.

Olympia: Right!

Cassandra: *nods*

Port: Now, just for this year's tournament, there will be a special exception. Most of you know the tragic situation concerning Team LCOC and their leader, Lazarus Rose, leaving him in a dormant state in the Hospital. Normally, the team wouldn't be allowed to participated, due to being one sort of a team member, but we have recently received a notice, that the remaining members of Team LCOC, Cassie Ghidra, Princess Olympia Mosura and Cassandra Ryuseicho will be participating in the tournament, battling against Team BRNZ from Haven!

As Port announced their named, the three girls walked out into the stage, Olympia and Cassandra with their weapons in hand. Team BRNZ, consisting of Brawnz Ni, Roy Stallion, Nolan Porfirio and May Zedong, soon joined in the centre of the arena. The crowd had a mixture of cheers and confused mumbles as it was going to be a 3v4. But of course, the cheers of Team RWBY and JNPR overpowered them.

Ruby: YEAH!!! BEAT THEIR BUTTS GIRLS! DO IT FOR LAZ!!!

Blake: Do your best Cassie!

Yang: Knock em' dead Cassandra!

Ren: Fight well!

Pyrrha: Good luck!

Jaune: You girls can do it!

Nora: BREAK THEIR LEGS MY APPRENTICE!!!

Weiss was the only one to not cheer, seeing that Lazarus wasn't with them...

Weiss: Laz... I wish you could be here with them...

Oobleck: The randomization process with begin now!

As the holographic randomizer appeared around the arena, the crowd waited in anticipation.

Roy: 4v3? Are you girls sure you wanna do this? You could save yourself the embarrassment and forfeit now.

Cassie crossed her arms.

Cassie: Admit it, you're afraid of losing to three beauties like us, huh?

Roy: Wha!? You...!

Cassie: Who's You? My name is Cassie. Are you, You?

As Cassie taunted him all the while retaining her serious expression, the randomization process was over; the Forest and Mountain Biomes.

Port: 3... 2... 1... BEGIN!

Immediately as the bell dinged, Ni and San appeared out of nowhere and rushed at the team, specifically May, who held a sniper rifle before biting down on her and throwing her directly out of the arena, knocking her out and shocking everyone.

Port: Immediate knockout! Team LCOC is not messing around!

Oobleck: It's a 3 against 3 now!

Brawnz: May!

The three remaining members of Team BRNZ looked at Cassie, Cassandra and Olympia with fear. Ni and San returned to Cassie, who grabbed the end on them before smiling evilly.

Cassie: There. Now that's better, wouldn't you say?*to her teammates* Let's give them hell, girls!

Olympia: Right!

Cassandra: *grunts in agreement*

In the stands, Teams RWBY and JNPR looked on with beyond shocked expressions as Cassie immediately knocked out one of Team BRNZ's members.

Ruby: Woah! What just happened!?

Jaune: She took her out so quickly...

Pyrrha: She's definitely not messing around.

Yang: *playfully elbow's Blake* Your girlfriend is scary, you know that?

Blake blushed before giggling.

Blake: That's the Cassie I know and love.

The three Hybrid girls of Team LCOC charged at the remaining members of Team BRNZ, who after recovering from their shocked state, began to charge as well. Cassie leaped into the air, swinging and twirling Ni and San around as she came crashing down on Nolan, who managed to block the attack with his weapon which was a Cattle Prod with Lightning Dust in it. Cassandra charged head on with her Evil God's Spikes, before entering a brawl of strength and precisions with the leader, Brawnz. Olympia was charging directly at Roy, with her twin swords, Goddess Stingers in hand but Roy immediately launched his buzz saw blades at her. Seeing this, Olympia flapped her wings and took to the skies to dodge out of the way of the blades, but when Roy caught them, he continued to throw them at her.

Cassie and Nolan traded strikes with one another, with the former having the advantage of range. Nolan dodged a strike from Ni before attempting a vertical strike on the Ghidorah Girl, but she used her Semblance, Ghidorah's Spark to blitz backwards away from the attack before Ni and San fired off >Gravity Beams< at Nolan, who managed to roll out of the way. He quickly charged the Hybrid girl with a thrust of his weapon, which managed to make contact with Cassie, causing her to scream seemingly in pain as the electricity surged through her. She got pushed back as she began to pant.

Ruby: Cassie!

Blake: Don't worry. That was a part of her plan.

Ruby looked confused until she saw Cassie, who had golden electricity sparking around her. Cassie slowly rose her head, showing her normally crimson eyes glowing a bright gold. She snarled before she appeared right in front of Nolan in a blink of an eye, leaving a trail of golden lightning causing Nolan to gain a shocked expression. Immediately, he was met with a electrified kick to the gut, knocking him back into a tree from the forest biome.

Cassie: Hmph.

Port: Ooohhh! That's gotta hurt!

Olympia rolled out of the way of both of Roy's buzz saw blades before divining down to him and slamming her Goddess Stingers down on him but he dashed backwards to dodge them before catching his buzz saws. He spun around, swinging his buzz saws at Olympia, who blocked with her swords but the force pushed her back slightly.

Maina and Miana were in the stands, watching the match, the former holding a large container of popcorn.

Maina: Come on, Princess! Beat his sorry ass!

Miana: Maina! She's still too young! Mentally.

Ruby: GOOOOOO OLYMPIA!!!

Olympia used her wings to block the buzz saws that came flying at her again as she began to glow a bright blue before Mothra's cry sounded through her mind.

Olympia: I... I... I won't go down that easily!!!

She spread open her wings before unleashing her >Sparkling Payload< upon Roy, knocking him back with the blue beams that ejected from her wings.

Brawnz threw punch at Cassandra, who countered with a kick before the two began to trade close ranged melee blows, the former using his claws to block the strikes from the latter's blades. Brawnz threw a kick at Cassandra, who blocked with her arms, causing her to skid back but immediately, her left leg turned into a blade as she launched at Brawnz and did a spin kick, which he ducked under. As Cassandra's leg reverted back to normal. Brawnz attempted to trip her but she jumped over his attempted and her left leg transformed again in a blade and she kicked downwards on Brawns, who managed to block it with his claws. But then, Cassandra's other leg transformed as well into a blade as with a yell, she flipped and struck him right in the chin, causing him to stumble backwards. As he regained focus, he was met by both of Cassandra's Tentacles lunging at him. He managed to narrowly dodge their strikes but was immediately met by Cassandra's Evil God's Spikes, striking his chest, their blades coated in fire and lightning Dust.

Yang: YEAH! GO CASSANDRA!!!

Nora: SHOW HIM NO MERCY!!!

Olympia activated the Lightning Dust in her Goddess Stingers, coating their blades in electrical energy as she reflected the buzz saws sent at her by Roy before hearing the sound of thunder and looking up, only to see a thunder cloud above the mountain biome. She quickly turned to Cassie.

Olympia: Cassie! The mountain!

Cassie looked at her, only to see her throwing her one of her Goddess Stingers. Cassie caught it before looking up at said mountain, only to see the thunder cloud. She smirked slightly with a bit of a sweat drop.

Cassie: Got it! Cover me! Cassandra, boost me up!

Cassie quickly threw out Ni and San, allowing them to start attacking Nolan before bolting towards her sister. As Olympia kept Roy company, Cassandra kicked Brawnz away before turning to face her sister, who hopped into the air. Cassandra quickly retracted her blades before setting her hands in a stepping stone position. Cassie landed in her hands as Cassandra roared, boosting Cassie into the air. Quickly, she used her Ghidorah's Spark Semblance to blitz over to the mountain, landing on the peek. Cassie took a deep breath.

Cassie: Why does it have to be so high up... (Cassie has a fear of heights, ironically enough. Explains why she was so afraid when she flew with Olympia in the Emerald Forest.) Ugh whatever. This is gonna hurt, but it'll be worth it.

Using the Goddess Stinger Olympia lent her, Cassie rose its blade up to the thunder cloud, only to have the lightning surge through it and into her body, causing her to grit her teeth and yell a bit in pain.

Port: Oh it seems like Cassie is charging up to end the fight!

Oobleck: That is quite right! Thanks to the nature of her blood, Cassie can channel electrical currents through her veins before unleashing all of it in a massive burst of electrical power. However, it's a bit of a double edge sword as Cassie herself, will feel the pain from the electricity.

Cassie's thoughts: Nice job on selling me out!

The crowd cheered excitedly as Cassie gained a powerful sparking electrical aura and her eyes glowed a bright gold before she jumped down from the mountain.

Cassie: NOW!

With the signal, Cassandra and Olympia retreated to behind the mountain as Brawnz, Roy and Nolan regrouped foolishly.

Cassie: YOU'RE DONE!

With the sound of Ghidorah's demonic cackle filling the area and with her own roar, Cassie's wings unfolded and stretched to their maximum wingspan before she unleashed a massive blast of golden electricity, with the tips of her wings unleashing golden lightning bolts into the sky. Brawnz, Roy and Nolan screamed in pain as they were all electrocuted before Cassie ended her assault, panting heavily as the three fell over unconscious and the buzzer sounded.

Port: And Team LCOC is advancing to the double's round! Uh... Can someone go check up on them?

The entire crowd began to cheer, especially teams RWBY and JNPR, with Ruby, Yang and Nora's cries of excitement overpowering all of them. Cassie's wing tips sizzled as her teammates ran over to her side.

Olympia: WE DID IT! WE DID IT!!

Cassandra telepathically: He'll be proud of us sis.

Cassie looked at her sister before glancing at Blake, who was happily clapping.

Blake: Good job, Cassie! I love you!!

Cassie giggled and smiled.

Cassie: Yeah... He will be.

From Lazarus' room in the hospital, Lazarus' nurse watched the match with a shocked expression before it turned into a smile.

Nurse: Well I'll be damned... They really care about him, huh?

Unknown to her, Lazarus, who was still motionless, suddenly gained a small smile on his face...
