Small to say the least

Agatha was in the worst of moods, wondering for hours what she would do with the insolent prisoner in the dungeon.

However, when she entered the dining room and saw two dishes placed on the table, she realized that something had already been done. Without her permission.

The kitchen door was thrown open, and, unsurprisingly, the witch recognized the troublemakers of the castle on top of one of the tables, "OF COURSE IT WAS YOU!"

The candelabra and the clock shrank, along with all the other objects that immediately stopped the preparation of dinner.

"Explain yourself immediately!" Agatha screamed.

"W-we just thought you would like company," Jimmy shrugged, "and then we took the first step-"

Darcy interrupted him quickly, "let it be clear, there's nothing about *us* here, I never would have given her the east wing suite in the first place and-"

"You gave her a room?!" The brunette frowned, before giving a discredited sigh, "of course you did, of course you did."

"My lady, this may be our chance to break the curse," the candelabra tried to convince her, "and keeping her as a prisoner is not going to help us."

"Her? Break the curse? She was locked in the dungeon for a reason! She IS a thief's daughter!"

"But we can't judge people for who their parents are, can we?" The teapot approached, with two cups behind her.

Agatha grunted at the implicit mention of her mother, but she knew Wanda was right.

Maybe she could give the girl a chance, after all.

But you were not as willing as she was. No, in fact you were not willing to give her a chance at all.

The makeshift rope you had made with all the fabrics you found in the room seemed firm enough, but before you could go down, some knocks on the door stopped you.

"Just a minute," you replied, trying to hide the rope. Behind the door, you could recognize some voices, but you didn't understand what they were saying.

"Did you hear that? It's her, now, be nice," Jimmy reminded her.

"Kind," Wanda followed.

"Charming," Monica nodded.

"And sweet," Darcy finished.

Agatha agreed, that would be easy. Yes, she could manage to be those things. For sure.

"Would you... accompany me to dinner?"

The request took you by surprise, but definitely not in a good way, "you took me as a prisoner and now you are asking me to have dinner with you?! Have you gone mad?!"

Your response immediately hit a nerve, "that was an order!"

"And I will not obey! I will never have dinner with you!" You raised your voice the same way she did, petulantly.

Agatha's blood boiled, "so feel free to starve then! If you refuse to eat with me, you will not eat at all!"

In the blink of an eye, the brunette disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke, leaving all her servants behind, disappointed.

"Well, that was worse than I imagined," Jimmy sighed.

"Did you imagine anything better than that?" Darcy frowned, "she's still alive, isn't that the best scenario?"

Lucky you, apparently. You sat in the corner of the room, hugging your knees, still shaken by the argument. You had to run away from that place, that woman was a monster. A beast.

And as she watched you through the magic mirror that Agatha held in her hand, she was also sure of that. You looked so fragile, so vulnerable, and her heart sank as she realized that she had just thrown away any chance she had to win you over.

When another petal fell, making the castle tremble, she considered that maybe she trully deserved the lonely eternity that awaited her.

"Maybe there is no hope," Darcy commented to her friends, feeling her gears tighten even more.

"So we won't be boys ever again, Daddy?" The cups pouted.

"Of course, you will still play outside, there is still hope," the kettle replied.

"Vision is right, we can't give up," Wanda shook her head, "come on, kids, let's talk to the guest, shall we? And the rest of you can go back to preparing dinner."

Honestly, dinner was the last thing on your mind right now. Well, you couldn't deny that you were hungry, but that was the least of the problems you had in your hands, considering the height of the room you were in. The rope could only do so much, and your fall was practically imminent. You could only hope that you could arrive in one peace on the ground, or at least whole enough to return home.

But then again, before you could find out, someone knocked on the door.

"I already told you to go away!" You shouted, tired of arguing.

"Ah, don't worry, it's just Mrs. Maximoff, I came to bring you some tea," the voice friendly informed you, before the door opened revealing that Mrs. Maximoff was a teapot. Well, you should have seen it coming, "oh, how beautiful you are!"

The dessert cart came up and she looked at the rope that you futilely tried to hide, the teapot sighed, "your journey is long, why don't you let us take care of you before you go?"

Before you could say anything, two cups got out of the cart and you crouched down to hold them while Wanda asked them to slow down. They looked almost exactly alike, but one of them had a tiny crack on his 'head'.

"Hi, I'm Billy and he's Tommy, do you want to see a trick I can do?" And then he closed his eyes and the cup trembled in your hands, causing several bubbles to appear in the tea. You couldn't contain the giggles, just like Tommy, the one that was slightly cracked.

Wanda was not as amused, however, "Billy..."

"Sorry, Mom," he said, letting you sip a little tea from each of them, making them giggle. You left them both in the cart next to their mother.

"It was very brave what you did," Mrs. Maximoff told you.

"We all think so," the wardrobe agreed.

"I just worry about my dad, you know? He's out there, alone..." you felt dread filling your heart once again.

"Everything will be fine, my dear, and I'm sure you will feel different after dinner," she smiled and the cart started to move towards the door.

You raised your eyebrows, "but she said that..."

"That there would be no dinner? Ah, people say a lot of things when they are angry, it is up to us to choose whether we will listen to them or not."

You turned your eyes to the window.

If you were going to run away, you would need all the energy you could gather.

With a sigh, you decided to follow the teapot while her kids rambled on about their life on the castle. They were cute for cups, you had to admit.

When you sat down in the dining room, Jimmy came out of the kitchen with a festival of different foods on various carts, "It is with deepest pride, and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight."

Platters, pots and bowls were placed on the table and you were amazed, having never seen so much food in one place. And foods with a very nice smell, at that.

The delight on your face was obvious, and Jimmy smiled, "We haven't served anyone in a while, but we're still great at it."

"Now, please, be our guest."
