Neil's eyes are filled with tears which make Haseena tense. She is not getting what is happening? And why is this happening? She was just trying to make Santu happy but she has not even thought in her dreams that Santu will react like this. 

"Neil, kya hua? Aapki khamoshi aur aapke aansu hume dara rahe hain?" these are all the words Haseena can manage to say with a great difficulty.

Neil sighs and replies, "Woh bahut lambi kahani hain, Haseena. Philhaal aapko first aid ki zaroorat hain. Aap yanha baithiye."

"Nahi, hume pehle Santu ko dekhna hain." 

Saying this she moves upwards but Neil holds her hand and says, "Santu ke paas Anu hain, Haseena. Woh sambhal lenge sab. Par iss waqt Anu ke saamne aapka jaana sahi nahi hain. Woh iss waqt bahut tension aur gusse mein honge. Aur shayad woh saara gussa aap par nikal de..."

"Par Neil..." her words cut by him, "Haseena..., jo hum keh rahe hain usse chup chap suniye. Baithiye yanha par!" He makes her sit on the couch and takes the first aid box from a drawer. 

He cleans the wound on her forehead and put the band-aid on it. He says, "Hum upar jaake aate hain. Tab tak aap yanhi rahiye. Upar mat aana."

Before Haseena can say anything, he runs upstairs to Santu's room. 

As soon as Neil enters Santu's room, he sees Anubhav sitting beside his unconscious sister, holding her hands. His face is clearly indicating how much he is in stress. His eyes were stuck on Santu. He is even trying to wake her up by lightly slapping her cheeks and saying her to get up. 

Neil comes near to him and puts his hand on his shoulder. 

Anubhav looks at him and says restlessly, "Neil, dekhiye naa... Santu uth hi nahi rahi hain. Gupta ji kab tak aa rahe hain."

"Anu relax! Dr. Gupta bas aate hi honge. Aap tension mat lijiye."

"Kaise chinta na kare, Neil. Dekha nahi kya aapne ki kya stithi ho gayi thi humari behan ki neeche. Aap phir se Gupta ji ko phone lagayiye. Puchhiye kanha tak pahunche woh?"

Neil nods and grabs his mobile from his pocket. Before he can call, Dr.Gupta comes there with his briefcase. Haseena too comes there. Neil and Anubhav look at them.

Anubhav impatiently requests to him, "Gupta ji, shigra dekhiye naa Santu ko. Inki stithi bahut kharab hain. Kab se jagane ka prayatna kar rahe hain par yeh uth hi nahi rahi hain" still he doesn't leave her hand.

Dr. Gupta sits on another side of Santu and says, "Just a second, Anubhav. Let me check her."

He examines her, and seems very careful to everyone. Then he replies, "Don't worry. She is out of danger. Magar shayad Santosh ne kuch aisa sun liya hain ya phir dekh liya hain jiski wajah se usko phir se panic attack aaya. Kuch hua tha kya?"

"Woh Santu ne safed rangoli dekh li thi" Neil answers his question with a little low tone.

"What?" Dr. Gupta seems serious, "How do you people so careless? Maine kitni baar bola hain aap sabse ki aisa kuch Santosh ke saamne nahi aana chahiye jisse uska past uske saamne aa jaaye!"

Neil feels guilty while Anubhav is angry. And Haseena feels guilty plus clueless. She has understood that something is bad memory of this white colour rangoli. But what?

Neil replies, "Kisi ne kuch jaan bujhkar nahi kiya Gupta sahab. Woh toh bas anjaane mein ho gaya. Warna hum galti se bhi aisi galti nahi karte. Hum toh namak bhi unke saamne laane ko avoid karte hain."

"Yeh main bhi samajhta hoon ki koi aisi cheez jaan bujhkar nahi karta. Par anjaane mein ki gayi yeh chhoti chhoti galtiyon se hibhari keemat chukani padti hain. Anyways, I am giving her an injection. Do teen ghanto mein Santosh ko hosh aa jaayega. Make sure ki aisi galti phir se na ho."

He gives her the injection and gets up. "Main chalta hoon. Waise toh abhi ghabrane wali koi baat nahi hain. Phir bhi Santosh ka khayal rakhna and agar baat bigdi toh mujhe phir se bula lena."

Neil replies, "Yes sir. We will take care. Chaliye, hum aapko niche tak chhod aate hain."

They move to the door. Neil calls Haseena too, "Chaliye Haseena"

Anubhav stops him, "Ek kshan, Neil. Hume inse kuch avashyak baat karni hain. Aap aur Gupta ji jaayiye."

"Anu..." Neil tries to handle the situation but Anubhav doesn't listen to him, "Humne jo kaha woh kijiye."

Neil doesn't have much power against Anubhav's command. Yes, he always tries to control his best friend's anger but sometimes he can't. Having no option, he leaves with a very heavy heart to bid bye to Dr. Gupta. 

Anubhav leaves Santu's hand. He covers her with a blanket and comes in front of Haseena. She is a little bit tensed, guilty, and scared a bit under his burning glare. She tries to say something but her voice doesn't come out of her mouth. He holds her hand and drags her from there. 

She speaks, "Mr. Singh, chhodiye hume. Dekhiye humari baat suniye. Humne jaan bujhkar kuch nahi kiya. Humari baat toh suniye."

He comes near his room and pushed her into that. He enters the room and locks it. She becomes more scared. 

She is about to say when he shouts, "Chup! Bilkul chup. Ek shabd nahi bolengi aap. Aaj aapke kaaran humari behan iss stithi mein hain. Aapko pata bhi hain ki kya kiya hain aapne!"

"H...Humne toh bas Santu ko..." she fumbles.

He cuts her words, "Chup! Khabardaar agar humari behan ka naam apni mukh laaya phir se toh."

Holding her shoulders, he pins her to the wall and says, "Kya lagta hain aapko? Ki aap koi bhi bahana bana dengi aur hum maan jaayenge. Aur hum aapki meethi meethi chikni chupdi baaton mein fas jaayenge!? Hume Karishma ya humari Maa jaise samajhne ki bhool mat kijiye. Hum woh nahi hain jo kshama kar dete hain. Hum bas dand dete hain."

"Hu...hume dard ho raha hain, Mr. Singh. Please, chhodiye hume" she just manages to say this with a lot of pain caused by his grip around her upper arms. 

"Achchha... peeda ho rahi hain aapko. Honi bhi chahiye. Parantu, yeh peeda uss peeda ke saamne kuch nahi hain jo aapne humari behan ko di hain. Aapke kaaran woh phir se ussi peeda se guzri jo paanch saal pehle guzri thi. Aapke kaaran phir se unhe woh sab sehna pada jo hum apne swapna mein bhi nahi chahte ki unko aisi peeda phir se ho."

"Hum..." again he cuts her words and says while gritting his teeth, "Humari baat abhi poori nahi hui hain. Humne aapse kaha tha ki hum kshama karne walon mein se nahi apitu dand dene walon mein se hain. Aur aapke iss harkat ke liye aapko bhi dand milega. Aur aapka dand yeh hain ki aaj ke baad kabhi bhi aap na Santu se milengi aur na hi humare kisi aur pariwaar walon se. Agar humne phir se aapko humari behno ke saath dekha toh humse bura koi nahi hoga."

He pushes her badly and she fell on his bed. Her ankle hits the edge of the bed. A lone tear escapes from her eye. Not because she is hurt physically, but because she is hurt emotionally by his harsh words. She is not getting why she is punished by him. How can a simple step from her make this huge blunder? What has she done to which she is getting this sentence? What's her fault?

"Chali jaajiye yanha se. Abhi ke abhi. Aur phir se yanha aane ki bhool mat kijjiyega. Warna aap soch bhi nahi sakti ki hum kya kar baithenge" he commands without looking at her. 

She closes her eyes to let her tears flow down. She gets up and tries to walk. But due to her ankle being hurt she hissed in pain. He doesn't look back at her. She holds the wall to support herself and slowly takes the steps towards the door. 

She unlock the door and is about to open it, she looks at him back and says in painful voice, "Hume nahi pata ki humse kya galti hui hain. Par itna zaroor jaante hain ki jo bhi galti humse hui hain woh bahut badi hain. Humne bas Santu ko khush karna chaha tha. Magar hume iss baat ka ratti bhar ka andaza bhi nahi tha ki aisa kuch ho jaayega. Jaante hain ki aap maaf nahi karenge. Phir bhi aapse maafi maangna chahte hain. I am sorry, Mr. Singh. I am really sorry."

He doesn't reply and she sighs. As soon as she opens the door, she sees Neil coming there from Santu's room. He maybe thought that both of them are in her room. He looks at her with a helpless look. Then, he stares at Anubhav whose back facing them. Haseena doesn't says anything and takes steps out of the room. Neil notices that she is having problems in walking. He quickly holds her hand. 

"Kya hua? Langda kyun rahi hain aap?" he asks with the concern. 

She doesn't reply but lowers her eyes. He stares at Anubhav and understands what might happened to her. 

He says to her, "Chaliye, hum aapko ghar chhod dete hain."

"Nahi Neil. Iski koi zaroorat nahi hain. I'll manage."

"Haseena..." he sighs and adds while looking at Anubhav, "Ek bhai ka bewajah ka gussa toh dekh liya aapne" Anubhav turns at him and both stares angrily at each other for a few seconds.

He again says looking at her, "Ab ek bhai ki care bhi dekh lijiye. Hum aapko aise akele nahi jaane de sakte. Aapko waise bhi chot lagi hain. Aur upar se aap think se chal bhi nahi paa rahi hain. Aise mein humara farz banta hain ki hum apni chhoti behan ko thik thak unke ghar tak pahunchaye. Chaliye."

He holds her shoulder gently and they start to move. He again looks back at Anubhav with a stern face which makes Anubhav more angrier on him too. 

Neil is brother to Anubhav more than a best friend. He always remains by his side but when it's come to Anubhav's unnecessary anger he doesn't like this at all. Whenever Anubhav gets angry, first of all, he tries to make him quiet and understand. If Anubhav is correct, he supports him but if Anubhav is not correct, he doesn't hesitate to take a stand against him. He is the only one in the house who dares to talk with him with the same amount of rage and coldness.

At last, Anubhav is the one who accepts the defeat and goes to ask apology to his best friend. Neil is the only person to whom Anubhav says the word which can't hear by anyone. And the word is 'SORRY'.

As soon as Neil and Haseena leave, Anubhav gives a hard punch to the wall. 

Haseena is feeling too guilty. She is crying silently sitting on the passenger's seat in Neil's car while he was driving. 

He sighs and says, "Haseena, look I am really very very sorry about Anubhav's behavior. Please yaar aise royiye to the mat. I know unhone jo bhi kiya woh galat kiya. But aapke aise rone se hume zyada guilty feel ho raha hain."

"Hum unke wajah se nahi rahe hain, Neil. Hume bas Santu ki fikr ho rahi hain. Woh bahut seham gayi thi. Unka woh sehma sehma aur dara dara se chehra baar baar humare aankhon ke saamne aa raha hain aur hume khud par gussa aa raha hain. Par Neil uss rangoli mein aisa kya tha jisse unhe aise panic attack aaya? Aakhir hua kya tha paanch saal pehle unke past mein aisa?"

He takes a deep breath and replies, "Yeh bahut lambi kahani hain, Haseena. Kuch aise haadse ho jaate zindagi mein ki uske wajah se kuch logon ki poori zindagi badal jaati hain. Ek haste khelte insaan ko rakshas bana dete hain. Aur ek khushhaal pariwaar ki saari khushiya cheen lete hain. Humesha ke liye. Khair, kisi din fursat mein batayenge ki yeh sab kya hua? Kyun hua? Kaise hua? Filhaal aapka ghar aa gaya hain" he stops the car. 

She looks out of the car and says to him, "Thank you. Ab yanha tak aa hi gaye ho toh andar bhi aayiye."

"Phir kabhi, Haseena. Abhi hume jald se jald wapas jaana hoga. Anubhav ko iss waqt humari zaroorat hain. Haan, yeh sach hain ki hum unse naraz hain, unki iss harkat ke wajah se. Magar unhe akela bhi toh nahi chhod sakte" he takes a pause and added, "Aap apna khayal rakhna. Pair mein gel ya spray laga lijiye aur zaroorat pade toh doctor ko bhi dikha lijiye."

Haseena shakes her head and he adds, "Aur aapki scooty kuch der mein aapke ghar pahunch jaayengi."

Haseena nods and got off the car. She smiles at him. "Take care" saying this he goes back and she waves her hand to him.

I know many of you might not like this chapter as showed Anubhav as a person who becomes unnecessarily angry. You might not like that how Anubhav behaved with Haseena. I too know and understand that it was wrong. But trust me, aage ke chapters mein character development hoga. The story actually demand this scene. That's why I wrote it. Hope you understand me and don't bash me.
