The beautiful melody rung through my ears as I heard the faint tapping on my window. It has been rainy all week; I enjoy it.

I wish I had the full capability to see. I could let my eyes and mind wander. See the beauty in this world, because isn't there so much of it? However, I can still see beauty wandering through my head. The sound of soft waves crash against the bright sunny sand. The seagulls chirping. I define that as beauty. Beauty isn't revolved around people, because everyone is beautiful. On the inside and out. Even if I can't see them, I know that deep down, there can be beauty inside of everyone.

Well, almost everyone.

I heard a knock on my door. I took out my headphones and muttered a soft come in.

"Hey dweeb." The familiar voice ring through my head and I rolled my eyes with a smile.

"Hello Adrien."

We have gotten pretty close by now. A few weeks after my little poem stuff, we had become great friends. Maybe he counts me as a best friend, I'm not sure.

"So, how are things goin'? You feeling okay?" He asked wrapping his arm around me. A small blush crept across my face.

"Yup, everything's perfectly fine. How about you?"

"Not to well. My dads being the same, as usual. He won't even let me have Nino over. It's Nino!"

I shook my head. "What a jerky move."

I could feel him nod.

"Well I have something that should cheer you up. It's on my desk!" I smiled. I got him a small present so I could show him my gratitude towards him.

I heard him get up and he grabbed the blue wrapped box with the yellow ribbon tied around it. Sadly, I couldn't pick the gift out myself and my mother had to tell me what was in the shop. I couldn't wrap it, either. My mother had to do that too.

He tore the box open and i heard him chuckle.

"What? You don't like it?" A pouty face appeared as I turned to the other direction.

"No no! Mari, I love it. How couldn't I? It's my favorite color." I could hear him wrap the blue scar around his neck and a smile appeared on my face.

"I hoped you would. We went shopping and my mother told me that there was a blue scarf and asked if I would have liked it. It reminded me of you, and since it was getting colder I decided to give it to you!"

He gave me a hug and I hugged him back.

"Can I tell you something, Adrien?"

He nodded, not letting me go.

"I just wanted to tell you, you're an amazing friend. You're my first friend after I had gotten blind. You're great."

He didn't say anything and we sat there together; letting time stay still.
