Two days have passed and it was now time for me to attend probably one of the most prestigious schools in Paris. Yup, no pressure at all.
As I walked down the stairs I felt my mom holding my hand.
"So, are you excited? You'll be attending a normal class. I'm so happy for you, sweets."
I faked a smile. It'll just be a repeat of all the years. Stupid nicknames, bullies, sad sleepless nights. At least I can't see what they say on the Internet.
As we drove down the street, I just couldn't stop reading A Disconsolate Paradise. There was this one quote that I came across from the main character, Alex.
"Everything you'll ever be you already are to me."
The words kept repeating in my mind over and over, and I just couldn't know why. I was thinking that it I have heard that phrase before. I knew I hadn't.
The star had stopped and I assumed that we where there.
I grabbed my small back and my stick and walked out of the car, forgetting to say goodbye to my mom and dad.
Many 'whispers' had been heard as I walked up the stairs.
As I entered the room, I could feel all the eyes focusing to me and my walking sick.
"Ah yes! Welcome Ms. Cheng. I'm the Literature teacher here, Mrs. Seari. Why don't you introduce yourself to the class?
I nodded. Gosh I hated this so much.
"Hello. My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheg. I am an exchange student from the United States, and I am diagnosed with blindness. The crowd erupted with whispers and I sighed.
"Here, let me guide you. You'll be sitting next to Alya."
The teacher took my arm and guided me to the desk. I could sense her staring at me, but I didn't say anything about it.
"So, as I was saying, love is something that gives you so many emotions. Hope, sadness, anger, happiness. That's what makes love so unique and beautiful." The teacher had made me smile. Finally, someone who gets what real love is.
"So on the subject of Valentine's Day, even though it doesn't come in eight months, I would like you to write a poem about love and the heartbreak of it. Here's the thing, you all will be put in partners. You both write a poem together and hopefully you'll make a truest beautiful peace of artwork." Everyone had sighed or yawned, but if anything I was overjoyed. I loved writing and reading poems.
"Ah, before we do that, lets introduce ourselves. You guys just call out your names and say one fact about yourself!"
"Hi Marinette, welcome to the class. My names Adrien, and my favorite color is blue."
The list went on and on and I soon eventually heard everybody's names.
"Alrighty, now the pairs."
"Adrien and Marinette."
"Nino and..."
I heard footsteps walking towards me. Great, a boy to partner with for a love poem.
