Happy Life

"Benjamin..." I called out his name as he slammed his membrane hard inside of me. Napakapit ako ng mahigpit sa bed sheet nang dahil sa ginagawa niya.

This is our third round of making love, and I can't believe that he can still give me the pleasure that keeps on driving me crazy!

"Oh, baby..." he said under his breath.

He continued on going in and out of me like he's making sure that he's going to get me pregnant after our honeymoon. Benjamin grabbed both of my hands and placed it on top of my head. I keep on moaning and shouting out his name. I heard him groan. His thrusts turned slower now.

I bit my lip hard and shut my eyes. He never fails to leave my mind blown by the way he chose to make love to me. Binitawan niya ang mga kamay ko. His hands travelled down my body. He used his right hand to hold my waist firmly, while he used the other to grab my jaw.

He kissed me slowly in the most sensual way. My breathing hitched.

Oh, dang it! Where did you learn all this stuff, Benjamin!?

I moaned louder than I should've. Natawa naman si Benjamin.

"Oh, easy there, baby..."

Napakagat ako ng pang-ibaba kong labi nang di oras. Oh my goodness! What did I even do to raise my sex drive like this? I feel like I've been craving for his touch for a long time now! I've never felt this way before. This is absolutely crazy!

Benjamin lowered his head so he can kiss me on my neck, down to my collarbones, until it reached the peak of my breast. He sucked on it kaya naman ay napaliyad ako at napakapit sa kanyang balikat. We were both breathing hard but we couldn't find a reason to stop.

I'm already exhausted, but my longing for him is prevailing. Hello? Ilang taon rin kaming hindi nagkita? Of course, we missed each other! Too much to be exact!

He didn't stop from kissing me. Pakiramdam ko pulang-pula na ang buong katawan ko nang dahil sa ginagawa niya.

Nang pinagpatuloy ni Benjamin ang ginagawa ay doon na talaga ako nawala sa tamang katinuan. I moaned his name loud enough and I think the people next to our room heard it.

Well, I am so damn sorry... I promise I tried to be as quiet as possible but my husband is driving me crazy and I can't help it.

Benjamin's movements became faster until I felt him spill inside of me. He removed his membrane out of my entrance at pagod na ibinagsak ang sarili sa akin. I sighed heavily.

He brushed my hair and removed some strands out of my face. Ramdam na ramdam ko ang hininga niya sa pisngi ko. Ni hindi ko na magawa pang imulat ang mga mata ko nang dahil sa pagod.

I felt him kiss my cheek.

"I'm sorry if it was a bit rough." He said. I scoff and tried to smile.

"It's okay..."

Pumikit ako ng tuluyan at hindi ko na alam pa ang sumunod na nangyari.

Habang tanaw ang dagat sa labas ng balkonahe ay inilapag ni Benjamin ang isang tasa ng mainit na kape sa harap ko. Inangat ko ang tingin sakanya at tsaka siya nginitian.

"Thank you..." I said. I pulled the cup of coffee towards me. I took a sip from it.

Sinundan ko naman si Benjamin ng tingin. He's walking towards my place, tumigil lang sa likod ko. Medyo nagulat ako nang ipinatong niya ang kanyang mga kamay sa magkabilang balikat ko. Mamaya-maya pa ay nagsimula siyang hilutin iyon.

Napapikit nalang ako nang dahil doon. Oh, damn. I deserve this. I deserve this after what he did to me last night. He leaned down a little to whisper something in my ear.

"Are you ready for another round later tonight?" he asked teasingly in my ear.

Bahagya ko siyang nilingon at sinamaan ng tingin. "Benjamin!"

"I'm just kidding." He said while chuckling lightly.

Nang matapos siya sa paghilot ng mga balikat ko ay pumwesto siya sa harap ko. Bumaba ang tingin niya sa mga daliri ko. Nang dahil sa paninitig niya sa daliri ko ay hindi ko na rin naiwasang ibaba ang tingin doon. I smirked.

"Still in cloud nine?" I asked.

"Yes," he answered. He reached for my hand at tsaka pinaglaruan ang aming engagement at wedding ring.

"What if we were introduced normally back then? Sa tingin mo ganito tayo ngayon?"

I pouted and shrugged my shoulders. "I don't think so. Sa tingin ko nga hindi rin maiisipan ng mga magulang natin na ipakasal tayo sa isa't isa, e. Our hatred for one another gave them the idea."

He scoffs and nod his head. "A part of it was really intended for business."

"But we won't agree to their proposal because we don't talk and we don't know each other that much. And I'm pretty sure you're with someone during those moments."

Agad siyang umiling. "I never had a relationship again after I met you."

Umangat ang kilay ko nang dahil sa sinabi niya. "But you're seeing a lot of girls!"

"I tried to," he answered truthfully. "But I failed, because I couldn't forget a girl named Kelsey."

Umiling ako at tumawa.

"Kahit na! Ang dami mo paring kasamang babae noon, e. Nakita pa nga kita non sa bar... may kasama ka... tapos nakayakap siya sa'yo..."

Nag-iwas ako ng tingin sakanya dahil bigla akong nakaramdam ng hiya. Narinig ko ang pag-tawa niya.

"It's only a dare. Sa tingin mo ba interesado ako sa mga babaeng 'yon? Kelsey, I'm only interested in you."

"Talaga ba?" tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. Pabiro siyang umirap at hinigit ang kamay ko, pinapahiwatig na gusto niyang lumapit ako sakanya.

I obliged like a lost puppy. Hindi na niya pinag-isipan ang susunod na gagawin dahil agad niya akong hinila paupo sa kandungan niya.

"Hindi naman ako papayag na ikasal sa'yo kung hindi ikaw ang gusto ko."

He pressed a kiss on the back of my ear. Ngumiti ako.

"When did your feelings for me started?"

"Since the day you messaged me on Facebook."

Nanlaki naman ang mga mata ko nang dahil sa sinabi niya. "That fast?!"

"Just so you know, I've never replied that fast to someone's message. You must be really special."

Pabiro ko siyang hinampas. Mas humigpit naman ang pagkakapulupot ng kanyang braso sa aking baywang.

"Oh, is that the reason why you sent me a friend request?"

Ibinaon niya ang kanyang mukha sa aking balikat at tsaka tumango. "I told you, I don't send friend request to anyone. Until you..."

Hindi ko maiwasang mamangha nang dahil sa sinabi niya. He is very sneeky and such a keeper. I still have to know more about this.

We are currently in Balesin Island for our honeymoon. Benjamin didn't want to waste more time kaya naman ay agad niyang naisipang magpunta dito. We are bound to go to Bali, Indonesia next. We're going to stay here for three more days until we leave for Bali.

Hanggang ngayon hindi parin ako makapaniwala na kasal na ulit ako kay Benjamin. Kahit pangalawang kasal na namin, iba parin talaga ang pakiramdam. Sobrang nakakatuwa.

I can still clearly remember the day of our wedding. Benjamin can't stop on pressing kisses on my face when we entered the bridal car so we can go now to the reception.

Sa iisang kwarto lang kami ni Benjamin nanatili. Ni hindi niya magawang itago ang excitement dahil maya't maya siyang lumalapit sa akin kahit na inaayusan ako.

I was busy staring at the mirror, quietly admiring my dress when Benjamin appeared behind my back. There's a ghost smile on his lips. Tumitig rin siya sa akin sa salamin.

"The most beautiful bride ever..." he whispered against my ear. Ngumiti ako at humilig sa dibdib niya.

Mabilis niyang pinulupot ang kanyang mga braso sa aking baywang. Kung hindi pa kami tatawagin, malamang nanatili lang kami roon.

"Let's go?" aya niya. He offered his hand to me at agad ko namang tinanggap iyon.

The guests cheered for us as we entered the hall. Napakaganda at nakakamangha ang ginawang pag-aayos nila Paula sa reception.

Hindi rin naman sila nagaksaya pa ng oras at agad nilang sinimulan ang celebration. My first dance with Benjamin probably belongs to one of my highlights during our wedding day. Sunod doon ay ang ginawa nilang performance kasama ang dalawa niyang kaibigan at ng mga pinsan niya.

He surprised me when he showed me that he knows how to dance! He isn't afraid to show everyone his suave moves and I can't even stop on cheering him on! Damn, I married a talented guy!

Bakas rin sa mukha ng mga bisita na nag-enjoy sila sa ginawang performance ni Benjamin. I bet videos of him will start to circulate on the internet after its uploaded.

Everyone cheered even louder when Benjamin gave me a lap dance in front of everyone! Pulang-pula ako ng mga oras na iyon at wala akong nagawa kung hindi ang humiyaw at tumawa habang ginagawa niya iyon sa harap ko at ng maraming tao.

Looks like someone gave up his dignity for this...

Nang oras naman para magsalita ng best man niyang si Bradley ay hindi nito naiwasang asarin ang kaibigan.

"Benj, your practice was worth it! Looks like your Kelsey enjoyed it a lot. Right, Kels?" tumawa kaming dalawa ni Benjamin. I nod my head playfully.

"Okay... let's take this speech seriously this time. First of all, good evening and congratulations to my best bud who just got married again-for the second time-to the girl of his dreams! Quite unbelievable, right? Kelsey... if Benjamin still doesn't know what he did to deserve you, trust me, I don't know, either."

Everyone chuckled because of that, including us. Naramdaman ko naman ang paghilig ni Benjamin sa couch na inuupan namin. He moved closer to me. Ipinatong niya ang kanyang braso sa ulo ng upuan. I turn to him and smiled. I rest my left arm on his thigh. Binalik ko naman muli ang atensyon kay Bradley.

"Sometimes it seems impossible to marry someone you really like or someone you thought you cannot reach. But with Benjamin, I've seen that anything is possible. Good looks, good career, good physique... name it. Everything is good in Benjamin. Marami ngang nagkakagustong babae dyan, e. Some are beauty queens, models, and actress! Name it again! Lahat na ata!"

Bradley smirked and shakes his head. He looks at me with a ghost smile on his lips.

"But you know what, Kels? He didn't mind them. And you know what surprised me the most?" he paused. "He stopped looking for girls ever since he met you. I've come to realize that... even though there are a lot of girls that were crazy for him... he didn't mind them. Because I know... he was only crazy for you."

I saw Benjamin smiled from the corner of my eye. Ngumuso ako at ngumiti kay Bradley.

"I've known Benjamin ever since we were in high school. Mga oras palang na 'yon, iba na talaga ang charisma niya pagdating sa mga babae. Charles and I were, of course, jealous of him. Because we are always the neglected ones. We have to try so hard to get the girl we like, but with Benjamin, everything comes in easy. But the good thing about him is that he didn't let it go to his head. He remained humble and down to earth. He can be really jerky at times, but he's the kind of friend you'll always look for during gatherings. You know why? It is not complete without him. Benj, alam kong alam mong gwapo ka, matalino, mayaman... lahat nasa sa'yo na. Pero alam mo ba kung gaano ako kasaya na maging kaibigan ka?

"'Yung kasiyahan na nararamdaman ko sa tuwing magkakasama tayong tatlo ni Charles, iba 'yon. It's an unexplainable happiness. A happiness wherein you know you have friends that will be there for you all the time. Pero may mas hihigit pa pala doon sa kasiyahan kong iyon. The happiness that I've felt when we were together is nothing compared to the happiness I've felt when you told us that you're getting married with Kelsey again. And I'm even happier, when you asked me to be your best man! I'm sorry, Charles, but... you have to accept that I'm a better friend than you."

Nilingon ni Bradley ang lamesa kung nasaan si Charles. He was chuckling while listening to his friend's speech. He shrugged his shoulder as if he can't do anything about Benjamin's decision of choosing Bradley as his best man instead of him.

"But don't worry, ikaw naman 'yung best man nung una nilang kasal. Fair enough, bro." humalakhak ng malakas si Benjamin ng dahil doon. I can't help but laugh along with him. Napangiti naman si Bradley nang makita niya kung gaano niya napatawa ang kaibigan.

"Okay... going back to my wonderful speech. Benjamin, you are lucky. I mean... look at her! She's everything! She's everything that you've always wanted for a woman. She's someone that God sent to you because He knows that the woman you need is one of a kind like Kelsey. And He is amazing because He sent a perfect girl for the perfect Benjamin Donovan.

"I can still clearly remember the day when he started mentioning Kelsey to us. He never mentioned her once, but he mentions her all the time! He always tells us stories about this unknown girl and whenever we ask for her name, he shrugs it off and continues with his story! He keeps on saying that he's annoyed to this certain someone but you can also see that he adores her. Especially when you look into his eyes.

"Surprise, Benjamin, it's not hate that you've felt the first time that you met her... it's adoration that turns into love every time you keep on mentioning her. And Kelsey, when we first met you at the reception of your first wedding... we knew that it was you-you're the girl that Benjamin has been obsessing about for years!"

My mouth parted a little. Nilingon ko si Benjamin na mukhang tuwang tuwa sa sinasabi ng kanyang kaibigan. He didn't disagree to everything that Bradley is saying because he knows that it was all true.

"You're the love of our best friend's life. The girl he finds "annoying" but also the girl he couldn't live without. You are Benjamin's angel, Kels. You are God send. And we know that Benjamin will do anything to keep you safe. You're that important to him. And I just want to reassure you that you're in good hands. Benjamin will love you until his last breath and I hope you do the same, too."

I nod my head at him and smiled. Benjamin snaked his arms around my shoulder to pull me closer. Hinawakan ko ang kamay niyang nasa balikat ko at tsaka humilig sakanya.

"I wish you both the best. I wish you a happier life together. I wish you beautiful kids. And I wish you a beautiful love. I love you both, guys, you know that! Congratulations!"

Everyone clapped their hands when Bradley finished his speech. Sunod namang tumayo si Jeya. She's my maid of honor. I'm really grateful that she accepted my request.

"Hi, good evening. I'm Jeya. One of Kelsey's best friends. I've known her ever since we were in college. At first I thought she was this pabibo kid in class, because she always recites every time we have class discussions and all our professors were madly impressed by her. A lot of people are envious of her, including me and I admit that. I mean, who wouldn't? She's perfect! Kung si Benjamin perfect sa paningin ng mga kaibigan niya, ganoon rin ang tingin namin kay Kelsey.

"She's very beautiful, sweet, intelligent... lahat na ata ng magagandang katangian para sa isang tao nasa sakanya niya. I was really happy when I started to get to know her. She's not just a pretty face. She is something else-something more. Everyone is just amazed by her beauty and wit. I also think that... those are the things that most men like about her. She very ladylike, very prim and proper. I've never seen her mad because she's always smiling and very happy. But everything turned upside down when she started telling us about her encounter with Benjamin during the business party."

Natawa ako dahil naalala ko ang mga panahon na iyon. Kay Troy ko lang sana sasabihin iyon but to be fair, Jeya also deserves to know. Alam kong magkakasundo kami ng mararamdaman kung sakanya nangyari iyon. Pero nagkamali ako...

Instead of agreeing with me, she asked me if Benjamin is handsome! Gosh!

"Kulang nalang talaga mag-apoy ang ilong niya sa tuwing kinukwento niya si Benjamin sa amin. She keeps on sending me a message whenever Benjamin says something to her. For me, you can just easily ignore those if you didn't care. But for some reason, Kelsey never ignores Benjamin. No matter how annoying he is to her. She gives a damn about everything he says and she just can't shut up about it.

"To be honest, I was one of those people who keeps on pushing her to him. I stalked Benjamin all the time to update myself and Kelsey," she chuckled. Natawa rin naman si Benjamin. "And she will always tell me, "Aanhin ko 'yan?" but you can really see that she wanted to know more. Her "Aanhin ko 'yan?" is her "Update me more." So, instead of stopping on giving her updates, I continued. And I'm glad that she listens carefully, because that's also the time where I realized that she's into him.

"Unang beses ko palang silang nakitang magkasama, alam ko na. They're a match made it heaven. They're the perfect couple. I'm so glad they ended up together, dahil wala nang iba para sakanila. Benjamin is for Kelsey, and Kelsey is for Benjamin."

She smiled sweetly at me.

"Benjamin, you are lucky that you ended up with a woman who's very strong. A woman who knows what she wants and a woman who's adored by many. And Kelsey, you are lucky that you ended up with a man whose very understanding, loyal, and very hot!"

My eyes widened a little at that. Oh my god, Jeya! I didn't know she has the guts to tell that in front of a lot of people! Sa isip ko nga lang nasasabi ang bagay na 'yan!

"Benj, I hope you won't stop loving her even though love can be so tiring. And Kels, I hope you won't get tired of him. I know you love him as much as he loves you. I hope that when the time comes, where you'll start building a family together, I hope you'll love each other even more. Congratulations to the both of you and best wishes!"

When the day comes where we have to leave for Bali, I received a text from one of my close friends.

Kira:

Looks like Jeya and Troy are dating now.

Agad na nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang dahil sa nabasa kong text galing kay Kira. I sent a text asking if it's true just to confirm it. Nagsend siya ng picture sa akin na nakita niyang magkasama si Jeya at Troy sa mall habang magkahawak ang kamay. They look so sweet together at hindi talaga mapagkakailang nagdedate sila.

When did they? Oh my gosh! Why didn't tell me?! How long will they hide this from me?

Napansin siguro ni Benjamin ang itsura ko habang nakatingin sa cellphone kaya agad siyang lumapit sa akin.

"What's happening?" he asked.

"I've received the biggest revelation of the year..." sabi ko sabay pinakita sakanya ang picture na sinend sa akin ni Kira. His brows rose as he look at the picture.

"They're dating?! Since when?"

"I don't know! Probably when they keep on using the same excuses to me whenever I ask to hang out with them. They keep on telling me they're busy with something, but it looks like they're busy wih one another..."

Umirap ako at inangat ang tingin sa asawa. He's trying to hide his smile.

"Maybe they're just looking for the right time to tell you." aniya.

"Kailan pa 'yung right time na 'yun?"

"Siguro kapag kasal na sila." he smiled teasingly at me. I glared at him.

"Oh my god! You're horrible! Don't give Troy the idea! Besties pa naman kayo." He shrugged his shoulders.

My husband and Troy became best of friends when I left two years ago. Ni hindi ko nga alam na close na sila sa isa't isa kung hindi lang talaga sinabi ni Troy sa speech niya noong kasal namin na madalas silang nagkikita ni Benjamin nun, e.

I'm glad they're friends, though. I'm happy!

Troy cleared his throat as he made his way towards the stage. He raised his brows at us as a sign that he's going to start now. I smiled.

"Good evening, everyone. First of all, I just want to thank you for coming to witness the beautiful wedding day of my best friend, Kelsey. For those who didn't know, I'm Troy. Kelsey's best friend. We've been friends for more than a decade now. And I've witnessed how Kelsey grew into such a beautiful woman as the years goes by.

"Kelsey, for me, is someone who is very hard to reach. She's like a star that I keep on trying to reach every time I look up to the sky. I'm on the ground and she's high up there, shining brightly while being admired by a lot of people, and when you try to reach for it, you can't-it's impossible. That's probably the closest example that I could give whenever I thought about Kelsey.

"I know some of you are curious of why I thought about her as someone who is very hard to reach... Well... it's because, I was once in love with my best friend." I heard some people gasp. Benjamin even chuckled, he doesn't look bothered about Troy's revelation. Natawa rin si Troy. "I know... shocking, right? But come on, guys, let's face it! Who wouldn't fall in love with a girl like her? If she made Benjamin-who has a lot of girls lining up for him-made him fall so hard for her, ako pa kaya na lagi niyang kasama simula nung mga dalaga't binata palang kami?

"I've seen her grow. I've seen her blossom into a lady that she is now. I've seen her achieve so many things. I've seen her fall apart. I've seen how she get back up. I'm basically a witness of her sucessess and downfalls. But besides that, it didn't change the way I look at her. She's still someone so hard to reach. Kelsey is very well prim and proper, while Benjamin is the total life of the party. Completely contrast with one another but makes a beautiful love together."

Ngumuso ako at nginitian si Troy nang magkatinginan kami. He smiled in return.

"You know what amazes me the most is that out of all the people who tried to reach for her, only one succeeded. And that is you, Benjamin. You managed to reach for her so fast while I have to keep on trying so hard until it came to the point where I have to accept that I'll always get stuck in friend zone. It sucks for me, man. But I'm happy for you." Nagtawanan ang mga bisita nang dahil doon.

"If Kelsey is the star, you're the moon. Whenever you appear, the star wanted to always come close to you. And that's what I've noticed with her, whenever you are there, it feels like her whole world stops. You're her only focus.

"And it's a good thing you know because the moon and stars wouldn't be complete without one another. At kami iyong mga tao na patuloy na humahanga sa kagandahang taglay ninyong dalawa. Benjamin, I never thought we would be friends when you asked to have drinks with me when Kelsey left for Amsterdam."

Nagulat ako doon at hindi naiwanag mapalingon kay Benjamin. "You did?!"

Benj smirked and whispered something in my ear. "Shh... just listen."

Ngumuso ako at walang nagawa kung hindi sundin ang sinabi niya.

"I've seen how vulnerable you were without her. Diba nga sabi nila, kapag walang bituin sa langit, uulan. Though the moon is still there, the sky will become gloomy and sad because it isn't complete. And that's what basically happened when you left. The rain represents the teardrops that Benjamin shed while you're gone. You just complete him, Kels. And I'm really glad that you ended up with a person who loves you with all his heart. You ended up with a person who isn't afraid of anything but is only afraid of losing you. You've found the right one for you.

"You've found the man who will complete your life. The man you're gonna spend your life with. The man you're going to share your sadness and joys. The man who will be the father of your children. He's the man for you, Kels. I couldn't think of anyone better for you. And as your best friend, I didn't need to have second thoughts to willingly give your hand to him. He's a great man, I know it. I'm happy for you, Kels. I love you and congratulations to you both! Best wishes and don't forget to make me the godfather of your first born!"

Nagtawanan ang lahat nang sinabi ni Troy iyon. Lumapit siya sa amin. Una niyang niyakap si Benjamin na malaki ang ngiti na iginawad niya rito.

"Thanks, man." I heard him whispered to Troy.

"I should be the one thanking you. Thank you for loving my best friend." sabi ni Troy.

Hindi ko naiwasang maluha nang dahil sa sinabi niya. I pouted and smiled at Troy when he pulled me in for a hug.

"I didn't know you were very poetic." biro ko.

"Benjamin wanted me to speak longer. He requested that."

"So, you're besties now huh?"

"Maybe. He's trying to steal me away from you."

Tumawa ako nang dahil doon.

Dali-dali naman akong nagtipa ng mensahe para kay Troy at Jeya.

Me:

Oh my god! Paano niyo nagawang ilihim sa akin ang relasyon niyo?!?!

Wala pang ilang minuto ay nagreply rin naman si Jeya.

Jeya:

Anong sinasabi mo, Kels?

Nagmaangmaangan pa!

Me:

You're dating Troy, aren't you?

Jeya:

What? Sino naman may sabi sa'yo niyan?

Sa tinagal-tagal ko pa namang kilala 'tong si Jeya alam ko nang hindi niya magagawang umamin lalo na kung dito lang kami sa text nag-uusap. I know her too well. I know how she acts when she's trying to hide something.

Para wala na siyang lusot ay tinawagan ko siya.

"Jeya!" salubong ko nang sinagot niya ang tawag.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Benjamin take a glimpse of me while he helps to load our bags inside the van.

"Kelsey! W-What makes you call?"

"Hindi pa ba obvious? Jeys, when are you going to tell me that you're dating Troy?"

"W-What?! I-I wasn't!"

"And why do you sound nervous?"

"Because your questions are pressuring me!"

"Bakit ka mapepressure kung wala naman talaga kayong relasyon? Oh my god, Jeya! I'm happy for you! I mean, for you both! Akalain mo nga naman-"

"Kels, we are not-"

"Jeya, have you seen my-" a deep voice of a man appeared in the background. Mas lalong nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang mapagtantong boses nga iyon ni Troy.

"Shh!" I heard Jeya spoke on the other line. Ngumisi ako.

"Oh... well, well, well... looks like you're together with Troy huh?"

"Kel- oh my god!"

"Ano na!? Spill it!"

Natahimik ng sandali ang kabilang linya hanggang sa marinig ko na si Troy na ang kausap ko.

"Hey, Kels!"

Natawa ako dahil nagawa niya pa akong batiin na para bang wala lang sakanya na nabulgar na ang itinatago nilang sekreto ni Jeya.

"So, you're dating her?"

"Yeah, I do." He answered very quickly.

"Buti ka pa mabilis kang kausap. Si Jeya ilang beses pang nagmamaangmaangan. So... when did it started?"

I heard him scoff. "We're going to tell you everything when you get back."

"Ohh... that sounds really interesting." I bit my lip to try and hide my smile. Nagtungo naman sa akin si Benjamin upang sabihin sa akin na handa na ang sasakyan para sa aming pag-alis. Tumango ako.

"As much as I want to still talk to you, Benjamin and I have to go. I'll talk to you soon."

"Oh, sure! You're heading to Bali now?"

"Yup."

"Take care, and tell Benjamin not to forget my souvenir."

Tumawa ako at nilingon ang asawa ko. He creased his forehead at me.

"He's probably just going to give you a starbucks mug," Benjamin glared at me when he realized that we're talking about him. "'Yun lang naman ang alam niyang souvenir."

"Hey!" aniya. "Starbucks mugs are good!"

I rolled my eyes playfully at him. Pagkatapos noon ay ibinaba ko na ang tawag at tsaka pumasok na ng van upang magtungo na sa airport.

The flight going to Bali is surprisingly short. I was really happy by the villa that Benjamin got because it has its own pool. Mukha na nga siyang isang bungalow house dahil may sarili pa siyang gate.

I turn to Benjamin when I finished roaming my eyes around the whole villa. I gave him a meaningful look. Agad agad niya namang nakuha ang tingin ko kaya siya ngumisi. I moved back a little before I turn to run for my life.

"Don't give me that meaningful look, woman. I know what you meant by that." Aniya. Tumawa ako at tsaka tumakbo na patungo sa loob ng villa.

Benjamin chuckled and ran after me.

Mabilis ang susunod na pangyayari. He caught me so quickly and when he did, he immediately sealed my lips with lustful kisses. He lifted me up while I wrap my arms around his neck. He started walking towards our room.

When he pushed me down to the bed, that's when the room started to fill with my loud moan.

I was sore when Benjamin and I finished. Nanatili kami sa kama habang ang ulo ko naman ay nakahilig sa kanyang dibdib habang pinaglalaruan ang maliliit na hibla ng buhok sa kanyang dibdib.

"What do you want for our first born?" I asked out of nowhere. Naramdam rin naman agad ako ng hiya matapos kong sabihin iyon.

I felt Benjamin snaked his arm around my shoulder. He used his thumb to gently caress my shoulder blade. He scoffs.

"So, you're planning now huh?"

I rolled my eyes. "Well Benjamin, it's obvious. I'll get pregnant after this honeymoon. You've been making love to me like you're making sure that you'll have me pregnant after this. So, might as well plan for it."

He leaned his cheek against my head at tsaka kinuha ang kamay kong nasa dibdib niya. Pinagsiklop niya ito.

"To be honest, any gender will do. What's important is that I'll have kids with you. Mahalaga na ikaw ang magiging ina ng mga anak ko. Sapat na para sa akin iyon."

He lowered his gaze at me then he creased his forehead. "Why? Do you only want a single child?"

"No! I experienced being the only child firsthand, and it's really hard because you always wish for a sibling. You're gonna dream about spending time with someone you're really close with. Someone you can share you're secrets with. I mean, I have a best friend. But it was nothing compared to the bond that you'll have with your siblings."

"I do agree with that," he said. "When Brittany went to America to have her PTSD cured, I'll admit that life is boring without her. I'm used to visiting the house and I'll always see her there. And I have to adjust, because I know she's doing that for her own good. I'm glad she's fine now and very happy with her life."

Ngumiti ako.

"How many children do you want?" he asked.

"Hmm... I actually want four. But I realized, they're quite handy especially when they only have a one-year gap. Mukha kasing atat na atat ka nang magkaanak, e." I joked.

He pinched my arm playfully. I laughed.

"Then we'll take it slow," he answered like it was really easy to do. "Ayokong napapagod ka."

"How many children do you want?" I directed the question to him this time.

"I want five."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang dahil sa sagot niya. Five?! Hindi naman ba kami mahirapan dun?!

"But if you want four, I'll be fine with that. Honestly, I'll be fine with anything. It doesn't matter how many child we'll have."

Ngumuso ako at tumango. "May naiisip ka na bang pangalan para sa magiging anak natin?"

"Of course, I do." He answered confidently.

Ohh... Mr. Benjamin Donovan is prepared. I'm amazed!

"If our first born will be a boy, then I will name him after my name."

"Huh? Why?!"

"What's the problem? Don't you want another Benjamin? I'm sure he'll also become a heartbreaker when he grows up, just like his dad."

"Oh, please! Don't ever teach that to our son!"

"Baby, I'm just kidding. No need to get so serious!" tumawa siya at tsaka hinalikan ang ulo ko.

"Kinakabahan na ako ngayon palang sa mga ituturo mo sa mga anak natin."

"Don't worry, I'll teach them good deeds. I'll require them to read the bible everyday and they have to recite at least one verse to me everyday."

Tumawa ako. "Wow! Very religious!"

He wiggled his brows at me proudly.

"What if it's a girl? What would you name her?"

"Celestine."

I turn to look at him. I gave him a questioning look. "Why?"

"Because it sounds like your mother's name."

My parted mouth slowly turned into a smile. I stared at him in awe. He keeps on surprising me with every act he does.

I grab his jaw and pulled him closer towards me.

"Thank you... I appreciate that." I whispered. "I love you so much, Benjamin. More than you can imagine."

Ngumiti siya bago tuluyang ilapit ang mukha sa akin upang patakan ang labi ko ng isang malalim na halik.

A few weeks after our honeymoon, Benjamin asked me to come with him somewhere. At dahil masunurin akong asawa, sumama ako kahit hindi ko alam kung saan ba kami pupunta ngayon.

When he sheer his car towards the entrance of Forbes Park, I really thought that we're just going to visit someone from his family. Turns out, we're visiting the house he just bought for us recently. And again, without me knowing!

Bumili lang naman siya ng pagkamahal-mahal na bahay nang hindi ko alam and he expects me to be okay with it?! I mean, hindi pa ba siya kuntento sa bahay namin? That house is already like a mansion! It's enough to cater a lot of people.

But this... the house that he bought recently, is seriously like a castle.

"This is too big!" reklamo ko.

Kinuha niya ang kamay ko at tsaka ako hinila palapit sakanya. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

"I know... but imagine watching our kids running freely inside that house." Kinindatan niya ako. Hinampas ko siya at inirapan.

"But they can also run freely inside the house we're living in! Ang laki na nun, Benjamin! Hindi naman tayo mag-aanak ng bente para kumuha ka ng ganito kalaking bahay!"

Benjamin burst out of laughter because of my outburst. And he's taking this as a joke?

"You silly, woman. Of course, we won't. I just wanted a bigger house where our kids could run freely. Don't worry I won't sell our house in Alabang. It will stay there."

"Pero sino titira doon?"

"No one." He answered innocently.

"Mumultohin 'yon!"

Tumawa siyang muli. "Seriously, Kels! Naniniwala ka sa ganon?"

I glared at him. At ngayon pinagkakatuwaan niya pa ako!

"Don't worry, I heard our family in States are planning to stay here in the Philippines for good. I'll offer them the house."

"So, ibebenta mo nga?"

"To a family member, of course."

Bumagsak ang balikat ko at tsaka nagpakawala ng malalim na hininga. Pinasadahan ko ng tingin ang buong exterior ng bahay na binili ni Benjamin.

"How much did you pay for this?"

"It doesn't matter. Come. Let me roam you inside our new mansion." Hinila niya ako kaya wala akong nagawa kung hindi ang sumunod.

Benjamin really wanted everything to happen so quickly. When everything's settled, we immediately moved in to our new house. Mahirap mag-adjust noong una dahil sa sobrang laki ng bahay, halos maligaw na ako sa loob.

He also hired a lot of househelps. Si Manang naman ay nagagawi rin minsan dito upang ibilin sa mga kasambahay ang dapat nilang gawin. Her family is currenly living in my parents' house. Ang ibang kasambahay naman namin na nandodoon dati ay napunta dito.

I was busy sorting out some files when Benjamin told me that we were invited for Margaux's son's third birthday.

"We're going. Margaux will appreciate our presence so much. She's been through a lot. The least that we can do is to be there and celebrate George's birthday with her." ani Benjamin.

"Hindi parin daw ba nahahanap si Jaxon?" tanong ko. Benjamin shakes his head.

I sighed.

Come George's third birthday party, I've seen how Margaux tried to put a smile on her face even though she's carrying something inside of her.

It's obvious that she misses her husband so much. It sucks that she has no idea where her husband is. Mahirap rin na gawin niya ang lahat ng mag-isa. I'm sure she dreamed of doing everything with Jaxon. Kaya naman ngayon na wala siya rito, at hindi parin nakikita, alam kong masakit para sakanya iyon.

Margaux immediately went to us when she saw us arrive.

"Say hi to Tito Benjamin and Tita Kelsey, love." Sabi niya sa anak. She grabbed his hand and made him wave to us.

Ngumiti ako. I gently pinched George's cheek. He looks so much like his father.

Kinuha ko si George sakanya habang hinayaan kong mag-usap ang magpinsan. Mukhang gustong-gusto nang bumaba at makipaglaro sa mga bata. When they finished, Benjamin went to tease me again.

"Ohh... now I know how you look like when carrying a child. I can't wait to see that scene every day." Niliitan niya ako ng mata at tsaka ako nginisian.

Kahit kailan talaga 'tong isang 'to, walang pinipiling oras sa pang-aasar niya!

Umirap ako at binalik nang muli si George kay Margaux. Margaux raised a brow at me then she turns to Benjamin.

"Hindi pa ba buntis, Benj?"

Napaiwas nalang ako ng tingin dahil sakanila. Naramdaman kong napabaling muli ng tingin sa akin si Benjamin. Sigurado akong natutuwa na naman 'yan sa reaksyon ko.

Buti nalang at nagsalita si George kaya naman napunta sa iba ang atensyon ni Margaux ng panandalian. Binaba niya ang anak at hinayaan nang makipaglaro sa ibang bata. Pero mukhang gusto parin iyong pag-usapan ni Benjamin kaya naman ay nagpatuloy siya.

"Hindi pa ata, e. Wala pang sinasabi."

Tumawa si Margaux. "Wala pa ba, Kels?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. Wala pa akong nararamdaman na sintomas ng pagbubuntis."

Tumango si Margaux sa naging sagot ko. "Well, it takes time before you know you're pregnant. You just have to wait. And you, Benj... wait. Patiently. Excited ka ata masyado, e."

Benjamin tsked. "Who wouldn't?" he said that to Margaux like it's the obvious.

Kaya naman ng nagdaan ang ilang buwan at nakaramdam ako ng kakaiba ay doon ko na napagpasyahan na subukang mag-pregnancy test. I've been feeling nauseous at work. Kakaiba rin ang pang-amoy ko.

Minsan inaaway ko si Benjamin ng walang dahilan. Buti nalang talaga mapagpasensya ang asawa ko kaya hindi rin nagagalit kahit na inaaway ko siya. And I haven't had my menstruation for months now!

That's obvious, right? Those are a symptoms of early pregnancy!

I bought a lot of pregnancy tests secretly. Marami ang binili ko para sigurado. No one knows what I'm going to do. I skipped work today because I feel sick. Like all the time!

Benjamin suggested that I should just stay at home. He offered to do the work for me.

Nagulat naman ang mga kasambahay nang makitang papalabas ako ng bahay.

"Saan po kayo pupunta, Ma'am? Bilin po kasi ni Sir na wag kayong palalabasin dahil masama nga raw po ang pakiramdam niyo."

"H-Huh? A-Ah... wala. May bibilhin lang ako sa labas. Mabilis lang 'to."

"Gusto mo, Ma'am, ako na po ang bibili. Ano po ba iyong kailangan niyo?"

"H-Hindi! Ako na. Mabilis lang talaga. Ako na bahala magpaliwanag kay Benjamin."

Sa huli wala rin silang nagawa kaya hinyaan nila akong umalis. Nang makabalik ako ay maingat kong itinago ang mga pregnancy tests na binili ko. Wala namang bahid ng panghihinala sa mukha ng mga kasamabahay nang makita nila akong nakabalik na.

Pumanik akong muli sa kwarto namin ni Benjamin. Anytime by now, Benjamin will come home. So, I really have to finish this work as quickly as possible.

Binasa ko ang instruction sa loob ng box. I tried three pregnancy tests. At lahat ng iyon... positive!

I quietly screamed when I saw the results. My god! I am so happy! What we've been waiting for is finally happening! I can't wait to tell Benjamin about this.

It took me time before I tell Benjamin about my pregnancy. Una kong sinabihan si Brittany. She's eight months pregnant now at nakamaternity leave sa ospital kaya naman ay nirekomenda niya ako sa isa niyang kakilala na OB.

Pinaconfirm ko sa doktor kung talaga bang buntis ako. Baka kasi scam kasi iyong nasa pregnancy test at baka pinapaasa lang ako. Buti nalang at kinonfirm rin agad ng doktor na buntis na nga ako. I am so, so happy!

I watch Benjamin as he does his work on his office table. Seryoso siya habang ginagawa ang mga iyon. Kinagat ko ang pang-ibabang labi at tsaka pinag-isipan kung paano ko ba sasabihin kay Benjamin na buntis na ako.

"Baby," he called. Medyo nagulat pa ako.

"Yes?"

"One of my friends is celebrating his birthday next week. Can you join me?"

Walang pag-aalinlangan akong tumango. "Of course!"

"We'll buy your dress tomorrow. Are you feeling well now?"

"Yeah, a little. I just need a little rest."

He nods his head. "You should sleep now. Tatapusin ko lang 'to, matutulog na rin ako."

Oh, I guess I know when I'm going to tell him about my pregnancy...

I was greeted by some of his friends at the birthday party. I smiled and greeted them back. Marami ang imbitado at may hinire pang mga local bands para tumugtog sa karaawan ng kaibigan ni Benjamin ngayon.

Turns out that these local artists didn't came here for nothing. This birthday party happened to be an engagement party for Benjamin's friend. He proposed to his long-term girlfriend on stage, it was really a show to watch.

We cheered and congratulated them when the girl said yes to his proposal. Maybe the band really helped to make her say yes.

Benjamin stayed behind my back the whole time. Kahit na nakikipag-usap sa ibang kaibigan ay hindi niya ako nilubayan. When the other band performed, I focused my attention to it. I'm surprised Benjamin knows some lyrics to their songs.

I never thought that he listens to OPM.

"You know them?" I asked. I turned to him and saw a small smile on his lips while he was watching the band.

"They're the only one I listen to when you're in Amsterdam. And I'm referring to this song..."

I scoff. So, he became an emo when I went away huh?

Binalik kong muli ang tingin sa bandang nagpeperform sa harap. I felt Benjamin leaned down a little to whisper something in my ear.

"I have a surprise for you." Bulong niya.

"Wait. Let's go outside. I also have something to give you outside."

"Outside?"

"Yes, I want us to be alone."

Niliitan niya ako ng mga mata. Mukhang nanghihinala na ang isang 'to ah? Ngumiti ako at tsaka kinuha na ang kamay niya. Nagpaalam kami sa mga kaibigan na kasama namin sa table. Hinila ko siya palabas ng venue.

"Ako muna," sabi niya nang makahanap kami ng lugar na wala masyadong tao. "Kelsey, you know how I love spending time with you. And I've noticed that I'm been working too seriously these past few months and I thought that I haven't given you the attention that you deserve from me. Ni hindi nga kita maalagaan nung nagkasakit ka."

Tumawa ako. "What are you talking about? I understand that you have to work. I appreciate that you try and go home early despite all your responsibilities in our company. Sapat na 'yun, Benj."

"But for me it isn't." he said. He opened his coat and grabbed something from his inside pocket. Kumunot ang noo ko. "Here. I booked a ticket for us two. We're going to Norway. I heard from Troy that you've always wanted to see the northern lights. I thought about making that wish come true."

I smiled at him. Hinawakan ko siya sa kanyang pisngi. "Thank you so much, love. Thank you for making my wishes come true. You've already given me a lot of things and I think it's time for me to give you something back."

Tumawa siya at tsaka kinuha ang baywang ko. He pulled me closer towards him.

"What is it?"

"The next time you plan for a trip, make sure to buy an extra."

Kumunot ang noo niya. He gave me a questioning look. Ngumiti ako. He has no idea! Siya 'tong excited na excited tapos di man lang makaramdam ngayon! Isn't obvious?

"I think this will be the last trip for the two of us," I said. "Because we'll become three afterwards."

Nanliit ang mga mata niya at talagang pinag-isipan ng mabuti kung ano ba ang ibig kong sabihin doon. He moved back a little.

"You..." he pointed at me. I bit my lip and nod my head. "Are pregnant?"

Mas lumaki ang ngiti ko ngayon. Tumawa ako at tsaka tumango muli.

"Do I understand it correctly?"

"Of course, love! You do!"

"I will become a father?"

"Yes!"

He smiled widely at me. He lifted me up and he turned us both around so excitedly. Nang ibaba niya ako ay hindi parin nawawala ang malaking ngiti sa kanyang labi.

"No way! Did you have yourself checked?"

"Yes. I went to the OB that Brittany recommended for me."

"Oh, god! How come you went to an OB without me knowing?"

"Don't worry. Brittany knows. I just told her to stay quiet because I really want to look for the right time before I tell you this wonderful news."

"Oh I can't believe you. Kailan mo pa nalaman?"

"Just last week!"

"You've been hiding this from me for a week now? Goodness! I should've known! Maybe that's the reason why you're always mad at me even when I'm not doing anything!"

"I'm sorry. Mood swing is a part of an early pregnancy symptoms." Pabiro akong umirap sakanya. Kinuha niya naman muli ang baywang ko at tsaka ko hinila pabalik sa dati kong pwesto.

"It doesn't matter now. I'm really happy to know you're finally pregnant! I'm so excited!"

"Me, too." I smiled.

"I promise," he stated. Kinuha niya ang magkabilang pisngi ko at tsaka ako tiningnan sa aking mga mata. "We will have a happy life together."

Mas lumaki ang ngiti ko nang dahil sa sinabi niya.

"Very happy," I added.

He chuckled then he nods his head. He pressed a kiss on top of my head and jailed me inside his arms. I closed my eyes and smiled.

Our marriage may be full of ups and downs, but these are the reason why we became stronger now.

Now I've come to realize that hate... can still turn into love. That's exactly what happened between Benjamin and I. I used to loathe him so much before. He was just annoying!

But look at us now! The man I used to hate is now my husband and will now become the father of my children. I am so in love with him it's crazy!

"I love you," he whispered in my ears. I swear my smile grows wider whenever he says this. Mas ibinaon ko ang aking mukha sa kanyang dibdib.

This is all that matters now. What we've been through before shall be forgotten. We've got a beautiful future ahead of us. Itatama namin ang mga pagkakamaling nagawa namin sa isa't isa noon, at mas gagawin naming ang lahat ngayon upang makamit na ang pangarap naming masayang buhay na magkasama.

This is not the end. This is just the beginning of our happy life together... because our story is still beautifully unfinished.
